My p880 isn't rooting! - LG Optimus 4X HD

I have a p880 with v20a EUR-XXX Unlocked Bootloader and I even had Root but for some reason in needed to reflash v20a and now if I try to root it says: Error: devicenot found. But only with the command adb sideload Please help me.

Driver issue or you did something wierd to recovery. Open adb and type "adb devices", if no device ID shows up its the drivers. If not flash rom one more time and try

reboot to recovery (hold down power and volume down till it vibrates). then select apply from adb and apply the sideload command.
on linux you have to enable usb access for adb and fastboot.
maybe try another usb port. helped me alot of times at windows

You can boot in android recovery? pressing vol- & power button?...
Remember that first you must select on the phone "apply update from ADB" and confirm, only after the phone
be waiting for the package, you should double-click in the batch file named "root". Use only the files from the downloaded folder.
Don't open any cmd window to use it like before.

Thank's everyone for all now it's Finally rooted!

Only ICS
If you mean the caveat that you unlocked bootloader, use the information to a htcmania forum, and as if you can not make a link to there without censor me,
is simple, get files
1. - Fastboot.exe
2. - logo_signed (must be obtained from the firmware, exploring the zip file)
sorry for my bad English
Donwload files
http://db.tt/tak1LsuU
note: logo_signed file is of the firmware: Brasil.en.BR
Procedure
1. - Put the downloaded files in a folder in the root "C" on your pc, (I call this folder Android for example)
2.- Put the phone in fastboot mode (power button and Vol - squeezing them a few seconds until the screen fastboot mode) and connect with USB the phone to pc
3.- Opening a cmd screen, we stand there, I'm in cmd C:\Android\
4. - cheking with command fastboot devices
5. - Performed the command fastboot flash ulogo logo_signed
6. - Conducted after ending command fastboot reboot and that's it
7.- enjoy
Warning: only share what I see written on a forum and I served, so I do not take responsibility for any damage this may cause to your phone

The easiest method is flashing a kernel including root associated to your ROM.
The Philz kernel is a good one, and nearly stock kernel with user friendly added CWM.
Can you boot into recovery? Check with adb if you can boot to recovery using
adb reboot recovery command.
Sorry but I'm not familiar with adb can you guide me through.?

In settings developer menu enable usb debugging and then connect to pc. Install android sdk or adb tools from Google. Then in the adb folder there run command prompt and
adb devices - this should show device serial. If yes
Adb reboot recovery will put the phone in recovery mode.

[Q] adb sideload returns error: closed with LG 4x

I tried using both of these guides:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2230934
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2180688
I also tried to do adb usb before doing adb sideload with no success. I also tried to kill and restart the adb daemon many times. Then I tried with different adb versions and on Linux too, no success. USB Debugging had to be enabled for the device to get recognized at all by adb.
Can anyone help me? Or can anyone please tell me how to get more debug output?
Cheers,
Niels
I had the same problem on my Galaxy R and have read it to be wrong on other devices as well. I finally ended up using TWRP which had this working. Your situation is different though. Did you try to run it with administrative privileges/root access?

I don't know if it will work but if you can get ADB to work, you might try this command:
adb reboot [bootloader|recovery] - reboots the device, optionally into the bootloader or recovery program
adb reboot-bootloader - reboots the device into the bootloader
I'm sure of the syntac but you can try the various combinations. I really think you need to get those buttons fixed because you are really limited on what you can do without them.

You can try powering off the device connect usb then do
Code:
adb wait-for-device reboot recovery
Then power the phone on. With a little luck it will catch at the right place and land you in recovery. I doubt it will work but it's about as good as it gets without working volume keys. Good luck [emoji120]

[Q] Stuck at 'this build is for development purposes only' cycle

Hello everyone,
as title says, im stuck on booting HTC Desire C device. HTC logo on white background with "this build is for development purposes only...", cycling over and over. Mistake i made is when i was using 'All-In-One-Kit-v2.0' i forgot to install CMW, flashed "boot900.img" wich is overclocking kernel, flashed it, powered off the device, turned it back on and got stuck there. Im struggling whole morning to get this done... searched whole google about this, tried to flash "recovery.img", flashing new ROMs, unfortunately, nothing has been done. Hopefully you could help me and i would really appreciate that. Im newbie here, my english is not that good soo..
Turn it off, press volume down key, and hold it with power until you get to fastboot. Then connect it to your PC, and flash a Cwm, and then lower frequency kernel...

Bump... anyone? Please?
Do you have a sync manager program installed? If so, uninstall it (it should leave the drivers installed) and try again, the sync manager identifies your handset and takes control so flashing gets interfered with
What version of Windows? (I've not read whole thread) Win7 upwards has driver install problems so search the forums/threads
Only use on USB 2.0 ....3.0 is a higher speed than our handsets are capable of
