I couldn't find the flashlight app on my phone, not sure why it wouldn't be included it's very handy to have. I have also liked the HTC one. I couldn't find anything posted about in the Sprint forums here so figured I would post this since Sprint & HTC decided not to include it. I'm not taking credit for ripping the apk, I just coundn't find it anywhere here. Found this posted over at Android Central, suppose to be the HTC flashlight that is included with the international version of the one. I tested it on my Sprint one works just fine.

No problem, I know I came looking for it here first & didn't see anything about it. The evo LTE didn't come with it either if I remember right. I think you had to download it from HTC hub which I don't think htc hub is on this phone.

I had on the EVO 3D but after an updated they removed along with the mirror app, and had to download it from the HTC hub. I don't see the hub on this phone.
I had been wondering about this. Thanks!

Can you create one for the calculator? I'm missing that on my HTC ONE after unlocking bootloader. Thanks!

This should work for the calc.
Awesome. Works perfect. THANKS!!!!
Thanks! Installed right away, blinded myself 2 seconds later. Good to have it back
I wonder why this flashlight doesnt have a menu for the other modes. Works flawlessly though

Nope. It may just be a few phones like that because some didn't have the calculator app. I had that one though

Yeah, possibly. Or maybe your phone was previously someone else's, and they unlocked the bootloader for you! I don't remember if my phone had the flashlight app straight out of the box, but I know it had the calc.
the ONE i use (sprint) is stock, stock rom and no bootloader unlock. i HAD the calculator installed and i did NOT have the flashlight. bought it full price from sprint.com. no hands touched it before me other than the HTC workers at the factory.. :silly:
Thanks! I'm 100% stock too (locked bootloader) and didn't have it.

Ok then;
which applications after unlocking the bootloader are removed?
I have the flash light and calculator (both downloaded trough here) but, is any other app removed after u/b?

There used to be an option that would keep the screen on while charging, incredibly useful when in the car dock, but it's missing from what I can tell. Any solutions for this, or maybe help me find it if I'm blind?

Uhm, I don't see it anywhere in there. Have you looked on this phone?
Its not there on stock ATT roms. The custom roms have it.
Yes, it's there on mine...it's the 2nd option down (Stay Awake). See screenshot attached.

What version/type do you have, because it's most certainly not there on Sprint's.
Ah, that may explain it then. I have the SIM free version from the UK.
Don't really know much about Sprint phones. Maybe you'd get a more reliable answer from the 'Sprint HTC One forum'.
But I'm guessing they probably removed the option if you can't find it anywhere. Check the Sprint forum, there may be a mod over there to re-enable the option.

Stay Awake option not in ATT rom, looked all over for it. It is not in Developer options at all.
It was also removed from the 401.12 firmware update

Just checked.... it's also missing from the TrickDroid 5.1.0 as well. I ended up at this thread because I've been searching for a way to set the screen on while charging. I'm sure it was taken out for a good reason (one would assume) but I really do miss it.
Missing from my Developer Edition. WTF
Yea.... who the hell made that decision and thought it was a good one?
When I received my HTC One (AT&T) I was disappointed that I could not install Google Wallet. Coming from a Galaxy Nexus and Nexus 4, this was a downer.
I just installed TrickDroid hoping that would resolve the issue but I still can't get Wallet installed.
Are there any guides out there detailing how to get Wallet up and rocking?
thanks!
I'm also wondering how to get it on my phone, I'm stock but rooted and unlocked.
Just noticed the Sprint version is running wallet.

Yep, it seems only our Sprint friends have Google Wallet working. I can't understand why we can't get the files from the Sprint ROM and make this happen, but apparently there's more to it.

thank you very much...i would have been waiting like forever
tried on att . just hangs on setting up.
I my Sprint HTC One today I haven't activated it yet but I noticed that the boot screen is the stock HTC one with no mention of sprint. I'm also missing all Sprint software there is only a mention of Sprint ID in the wallpaper section. I just wanted to know if there's anything wrong with my phone. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
Where did you buy this phone? Is it used/refurb?
I work for Sprint and none of the sprint software shows up until the phone activates. I thought the same thing when I got my phone. Once it goes through the activation everything will appear.

^ This. When I activated my phone, I was excited that it didn't have a bunch of Sprint junk on it, then it said something like "installing Sprint junk" and there it was.

Ha we'd have to have a working AOSP port that doesn't brick our phones to switch to first. God I want a GE port so bad.

Is there a leak of the GE HTC One rom? Because as soon as that is out, you guys will basically have partial AOSP support from HTC.
The Thanks button is just to avoid "THANKS" posts in threads. Nothing more. Don't defeat the purpose of why it was introduced.

Yeah, there is. It's available on every Htc One except for the sprint variant http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2341395 The kicker is that the Google Edition rom is made for GSM networks, therefore no CDMA support. Sucks to be us.
*jumps off cliff*
By the way i'm pretty sure that works kind of like an old app called bootmanager. What is does is makes a boot, data, system, and cache partition on your SD card, and when you want to change roms it just flashes the new boot.img which tells the phone to boot off of the new System partiton on your SD card. Pretty awesome if you ask me.

Bootmanager was the greatest thing ever. I was triple booting between stock sense, cyanogenmod, and miui. So nice lol
I still have the Bootmanager apk, but I don't think it will work on the One. I haven't tried to get S-off yet so I haven't installed it.
