[Q] HTC ONE 64GB Developer Edicion says SIMLOCK on Bootloader - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I would like to know why when I go to Boot Loader it says SIMLOCK? And I'm from Jacksonville FL, I try using my HTC ONE 64GB Develor Edicion on T-Mobile and it wont lock to 4G HSPS UMTS 3. My Brother has T-Mobile GS3 and he gets 4G on HSPS UMTS3. Any Idea why I cant lock to it. Can it be to SIMLOCK?
Thanks

That's an option to simlock the phone. Ignore that and look at the top one instead.

I could be wrong on this, but from what I've be reading is the developer edition does not get hspa/+/4g on T-Mobile. Only 2g unless you are in a refarmmed area. I'd Google it.

Here is just one article I found, read towards the bottom, no hspa on T-Mobile with the developer edition. Also read the comments from others at the bottom.

by unlocked do you mean SIM Unlocked? if so...
download and run Connection Setup from HTC Apps in the Marketplace.
It won't work, HD7 is T-mo phone, different bands than at&t

entirely inaccurate. 3G won't work, but Edge (2G) will. the APN Settings just need to be adjusted to for Data to operate correctly.
Will HTC HD7 support 32GB memory card ?

[Q] Sprint Version SIM Unlocked?

I just got off of the phone with a Sprint support rep in the International services department, and according to her the SIM slot in the Sprint version of the Moto X is unlocked from the factory.
Can anyone verify that this is true?
Bump, I'm interested very much too!
Any one confirm this?

That's the point, so Americans can use Sprint in the US, but when we travel just pop in an international sim.

I contacted Sprint support, they said before using it in other networks (gsm/umts) you must activate international service (which unlocks gsm). mine was not activated and here in Russia I'm stuck - phone sees our carriers but can't register. and sprint support can't help me as the phone isn't online on sprint or smth like that. that's such a pain in the ass 'cause I've had a Sprint Photon 4G before and it worked without any "making love"

Yes, "INVALID CARD - NO SERVICE"
Yes same issue here. The unlock windows wont pop up.

Moral of the story is to not buy a Sprint Moto X for anything other then Sprint. Do your research and buy a proper GSM version.

Based on the many posts of people asking for how to SIM Unlock the Sprint Moto X, I'd say its not true.

Interesting. This is the first i've heard of that. There were other reports/posts that if your phone has active sprint service/account, you can call sprint and get the sim unlock code. Nothing was said about needing to just add international service to the account for the phone to be unlocked.
In any case, the moral of the story seems to be what Steve-x posted... If you are NOT a Sprint Customer, don't buy a Sprint X for international use due to all the posts of troubles and what seems to be impossibilities getting them SIM Unlocked (you can't just pop a non-sprint sim in "out of the box", Sprint will only unlock if your their customer, it seems no online services have the unlock codes for sprint moto X, etc).

[Q] Use in Europe

Hi all. If I purchase one of Moto X Sprint, ATT, Verizon
version, can I use it on our Europe network regarding
SIM lock?
Sorry I'm rookie about Moto X, I use so far other Moto Droid2 and Droid4 only.
Att you have to Sim unlock but its pretty easy to find some place online to do it for $10-15
The verizon and t mobile ones come unlocked.
Sprint and us cellular ones I think you have to be a customer to unlock so not easy to do.
You could also get some of the pre unlocked Latin ones.

I bought the Moto X one or two weeks after it was launched, I'm in Egypt it was sim unlocked however I know that all carriers except ATT and maybe Sprint can be officially unlocked.
I rooted it installed several firmwares, now I'm using ATT 4.4 leak, It's perfect.
Our N/W here is GSM same like Europe.

Surely you just check the bands on the network your trying to use it on. Look up your networks bands.
I checked before I bought, 2100 is supported by the phone and I'm using 2100 without issue.

Hi there, I'm posting here because it's nearly the same question but I'd like to be as sure as possible
I'm looking for this device, 'cause I really like it! The problem is that I live in Italy, and, as everyone, I want to be sure it will work here!
Reading other topics, I've seen that it all depend on the band it's used in my country.
As you che see here (http ://allworldcellphones.com/gsm-frequencies-list. htm), Italy use the GSM 900/1800 frequancies and it should be fine for this phone (or am I wrong?).
Now, if so, what does it actually means? If the frequencies match, does it means that I'll be able to call, send sms, use 2G/3G/4G or there are more parameters I need to check?
And second question: I really like the Moto Make idea! Is there any way to personalize my device and get it shipped to me? Because, if I'm not wrong, Motorola only ships to USA..
Thanks for reading (and, possibly, helping) and sorry for horror typo!

Sprint doesn't have 900 3G band used in Europe, only ATT has band 7 4G, all other models don't get 4G in Europe, only 3G. Check, not sure if I am right here. My GS4 has all 3G and 4G bands for USA T-Mobile and Europe

GSM 900/1800 that's for 2G. All MotoX support that. Then you have to match 3G, and then 4G bands.
Looks like ATT is the best model for Europe but its also SIM and bootloader locked! Next in line is T-Mobile, followed by Verizon, both have same 2G and 3G bands, no 4G for Europe, SIM unlocked, but Verizon has bootloader locked

First of all, thanks for answering
Then, don't you think that the developer edition (GSM) could be a good option? For what I heard, with that I should be only missing the 4G network, wich would be unavaible anyway, wichever brand I choose..
Or am I wrong?
The other plus il that I wouldn't lose the warranty in case of modding..!

[Q] TMobile or AT&T (No US)

Hello,
I did some research recently, and this caused a little bit of confusion, so I'll post a quick question:
I'm trying to buy this phone on ebay (since I don't have a US CC card), which one should I get, the T-Mobile or AT&T version?
Requirements:
- to unlock it for Europe GSM
- install CyanogenMod
As of now I was going for the T-Mobile, since I've read it's easier to unlock the bootloader, but now I see that the CM is only for AT&T phones? Or am I mistaking?
Thanks!
It doesn't matter any more. When you purchase from the Moto web site you ask for the GSM version. There is no more differentiation between the T-Mo and AT&T versions. You'll get the XT1053, the former T-Mo version.

Yes, me. I bought a T-Mobile Moto X in November and had to choose my carrier. I bought another Moto X last week and there was no carrier selection, I only had to choose between GSM and CDMA. Both times I received an XT1053 with a T-Mobile SIM in it.

As far as AT&T bootloader goes it is still not unlockable. When it will be? Nobody really knows if Motorola is going to add it to its Unlock program.

Appears they still technically differentiate between the versions, but are upfront about the T-Mobile version working with either carrier.

Yes, it does. Looks as if they changed it again. I didn't get that selection panel when I bought one a week ago. I guess you can still get the XT1058 model for AT&T. However, if I were buying one I'm not sure why I would order the AT&T model over the GSM model based on the description. I would get the XT1053 anyway.

Maybe they were temporarily sold out of the AT&T model? There is some LTE band on the AT&T model not available on the XT1053, but if I remember that band isn't used currently by AT&T in the USA anyways. People might also want all that wonderful added value bloatware software not on the XT1053 and have the inconvenience safety of a locked SIM.

BadBoyz ROM with Straight Talk

Hey guys,
So over the last few days I have been trying to get my Sprint HTC One to work with Straight Talk. As of right now it is:
Bootloader unlocked
S-OFF
Rooted
Sim Unlocked
With Bad Boyz ROM
My straighttalk SIM is one of the ones that works with ATT compatible phones. So I looked up the frequencies for ATT and what the Sprint HTC One had and they Share the 1900/2100 Band so I assumed it should work.
I put the SIM card in, switch it to GSM mode, Roam Only, but it can't find a network.
Any reason why it would work in my iPhone finding service but not my M7?
Thanks!
Have you gone to Straight Talks website to see if your phone is compatible? They have an area to enter your info. In Portland Oregon it says it's not available for the m7 (my phone). Might be a good place to start before wasting hours trying to get something to work.
Also, there's 3....maybe 4 threads asking the same question you posted.
