I use the 3.2 HC method to root my P7320 with ICS4.04 (Hong Kong version), after flash the CWM recovery into the tab I boot into the recovery mode and choose to install the zip file from SDcard, but it said( E: Can't mount /sdcard/ ). I have already copy the superuser.zip into the sdcard's root directory but cannot find it to install, any idea if I have done something wrong?
Many thanks!
Wrong section, anyways try reflashing the recovery, or remount sdcard.

I have flash for several times but still same. The option on the recovery is mount /efs, mount /data, mount /system but it shows error mounting /data, others seems no change. The CWM recovery v5.5.0.4

What the hell did I do now!? I tried installing a theme with CWM (oops) and somehow made the sdcard unwilling to mount. I can get into CWM still, but it wont let me install update.zip or any other file for that matter. It says "Can't mount /dev/block/mmcblk0p1" or "Can't mount /sdcard"... basically, it won't mount. Now I cant reflash... I'm downloading Odin but I'd rather not have to do that...
*resolved*
Odin.
Odin bailed me out...
Can you link me to what worked for ya?
Running into similar issues here.
EDIT: Oops, didn't notice this was from Jan 2011..
Any repartitioning odin should work.

Guys,
I dont know what I did but I can no longer do a factory wipe.
CMW says "Error: Can't mount /sd-ext" Ive tried reformatting / repartitioning the sdcard. it just keeps saying cant format.
I tried CWM 2.5.1.2, then i even flashing it again and tried a 3x version of CWM.
I just wanna be able to flash roms again. Please help
ANY HELP / SUGGESTIONS IS APPRECIATED.
Hey, there are a couple of threads that talk about
"Error: Can't mount <something>" ... you should check them out. I also recommend doing a search for "Cant' mount" you will find a lot of threads talking about a related problem.
Here are some, I hope they solve your problem:

good luck.
ive tried all of those
my issue isnt mounting the sd card but rather the sd-ext partition. ive rrad all these threads and tried everything stated.
Also. it seems i have 2 different CWMs. 2.5.1.2 when i flash into recovery from ROM Manager and 3.0.x when i go into recovery manually.....how is this possible and how can i fix this?

you shouldnt need to mount the external sdcard in CWM. you flash things from the internal sdcard
when i try to wipe data to flash a new rom it says
"
Error: Cant mount /sd-ext/
Skipping....
Done
"
im unable to wipe data so im currently unable to flash anything

thats completely normal.
wiping data has nothing to do with flashing anything.
CWM is unable to mount the sd-ext on our phones because it has a different location (sdcard/ex-sdcard) than most phone (mnt/emmc)
My i9305 is routed, and has clockwork mod installed on it, still running the new EE 4.1.2 official rom thought.
Im unable to mount the data partition in clockwork mod which means i cant create any backups of my phone as it fails.
The internal sd card partition wont mount either when i try and intsall a zip from internal sdcard i get cannot mount /emmc.
I think my partitions are messed up and i probably need to reflash a PIT file to get them back in the right place.
Can anyone confirm that this is right?? And if http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1950591 is the corrrect PIT file to use for me?
Thanks
Hey,
which version of cwm do you use?
I only know the emmc error from the 6.0.1.5 touch version in the dev thread.
Dont play with .pit files restore to stock factory reset then use cmw

Thanks for your suggestions; I’ve actually managed to fix it now.
I actually forgot to mention a fact which as it turns out was the reason for my problems.
The device was encrypted and CWM can’t deal with encryption or the encryption would be useless!!
I unencrypted the device and I’m now able to mount both partitions.
Can’t believe I didn’t think of this in the first place and nearly flashed a pit file!!!
I have a 32 GB SIM unlocked version and I am unable to mount /sdcard in either TWRP, CWM, or CWM touch. It gives me the error "Error mounting /SDCARD" or something like that when I try. Any help?
got the same question :/

I wasn't able to mount it, but I was able to transfer files to /sdcard using the adb push command. See if that works for you.
so i have been playing around with my phone, it was working fine but i had issues with android revolution hd, so i forget what i did and i am currently on clockwork mod touch v6.0.3.1 (i tried 6.0.3.6). it usually says:
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E:Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
before this happened i tried to flash a couple roms and they all failed and i went into either a recovery loop, in which it kept booting into recovery or a htc logo boot loop. I have flash twrp recovery also to try if that would help and it didn't. i have pushed the roms using adb and used fastboot to clear cache and flash the recoveries. i am pretty much stuck, i don't know what to do. I can't find a bell version of the RUU to install, i found a nandroid backup but it never seems to finish downloading properly from htc1guru.com so what do i do know?
Thanks for any help

the above is normal, it's because of the "fastboot erase cache" -> hence no cache to mount
but I didnt get the second part; you're not able to enter recovery or are you not able to flash ROM?
i erased cache and it still gives me the same issue. I also tried fastboot boot twrp.img, but that popped up the loading screen of twrp and then rebooted. also tried the same command with clockworkmod and it booted into recovery but it still can't mount the cache. Also i flashed twrp but it wont boot, also it has s-on, 1.44, tampered and unlocked

It's not an error, when you wipe the cache it won't be mounted in recovery.
Recovery will work fine without a mounted cache.

i erased the cache booted right into clockworkmod and used adb to sideload a rom, right as it mounts the data and gets ready to install the phone restarts. could my memory be corrupted or messed up?

1- why don't you try to push the ROM "adb push Rom.zip /sdcard/"
2- make sure your download is not corrupted by checking MD5
3- if you don't mind wiping your internal storage, go ahead and format it in recovery (format /sdcard or format /data/media)

i tried that and it gave me error:closed. i did it in recovery in adb sideload in clockworkmod.
I dont care about wiping, since i have everything backed up, i have formatted the sd card and the data twice, i did it before installing android revolution hd and then after when i was trying to install my other rom but after i formatted it again, it stopped working. I try to mount the sd card in clockworkmod and all it does is reboot the phone, that also happens when i hit format sd card. It can't mount it for some reason. then it just goes into a htc boot logo loop. thanks for the help guys...more please more

I just had the same issue as you and I tried almost everything! I have just figured out how to solve the problem.
First I installed an earlier version of CWM, in my case recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.3.4-m7.img
Then I went to install the ROM that was working BEFORE I installed the ROm which totally crashed my cache partition, in my case Android Revolution HD
When I got into AROMA, I unchecked EVERYTHING the only thing I checked was the XPOSED Framework, which I remembered I installed last time
The installation finished and the phone rebooted twice before getting into the boot and finally into the ROM
I don't know what our issue is caused by and after reading two hours on the internet I also figured out that people is solving this problem in different ways and no solution works 100% which makes this issue very weird :/
Hope it helps! Good luck!
