Hello community
My s3 lte often lost data after the battery died .the phone auto shut down this is normal
But when i plug in charger and start the phone again phone data are either messed up or lost
This problem occurs on both stock and custom rom.....
I tried to shut down and take out battery for a while, no problem. This occurs only when the battery died.......

what do you mean by phone data? what do you mean by messed up?
My system apps like Google now returned to factory state, need to re enable it again.
Then settings for apex launcher are gone or mess up (icons on launcher disappear)
And tons of fc
Avast show 200+ error saying certain path is not reachable

Hello,
I was wondering if anybody else experiences this behavior:
From time to time the battery of my Galaxy tab drops to 3% (at least this is what Android tells me). I noticed that this often happens when a view change takes place and when I simultanously press the volume control down. Today it also happened on a view change when I was using Skype. When I reboot the device it's showing a normal battery level again (e.g. 43%).
I wonder if this is a hardware issue or if it's a software bug. Anybody experiencing this, too?

Are you rooted/unlocked/rerom'ed at all?
There are various methods to resetting the batteries calibration, but it just depends on what brand you have/what you've done to it.
This is a fairly common problem, and for the most part can be solved easily.
Hello,
no, it hasn't been not rooted yet. Do I need to root it before I can recalibrate the battery?

Ok, there is an app and I need root for it to work. Seems it is solved now.

Which app are you talking about ? I have a very similar problem -- battery suddenly goes from ~30% to 1%, the tab starts screaming that I should connect to the charger, and (sometimes) shuts off. If I then wait 10 minutes, the battery will show again 30%, and it might run for awhile, go to 1%, where it will happily "run" (albeit doing nothing) for *HOURS*.
I'm rooted, have BatteryCalibrator installed and run it (I charged it fully, ran the calibrator, and am waiting for it to completely drain -- so that it wont even turn on, to charge it up again). So I'm wondering if you've really fixed this, and how.
I've contacted Samsung about my problem (the tab is about 6 months old) and they told me to do a full reset (special key sequence in telephone -- dont know if this is different from the "factory data reset" in Settings->Privacy).
I haven't done anything with this rooted phone yet, as it has unlocked everything, and I want to make sure I understand how to go back to a fully unlocked state before attempting to update (running XWJJ7). I also dont want Samsung to update it if I have to return it for warranty service....
Hello
when I'm out all day it could happen I have to put a secondary battery. When I do this (I have to wait a few seconds after powering off and removing the empty one to clear the battery stats otherwise the new one carries the old percentage) and I start the phone the date is reset to Jan 2007 1 AM and changes back to the correct one after a few seconds (because of automatic date feature). The problem is that in the meanwhile some apps/services that start get the fake date and this messes things up. For example if I receive offline Viber messages they go as "received in 2007" or I lose all the stats of Internet usage for the day from 3g watchdog.
Is this a normal behavior? I'm ALMOST sure this wasn't happening months ago. Is the phone supposed to lose the date when you remove a battery?
I think that is normal. When the battery loses a lot of power somehow the phone is unable to keep time and date.

On the contrary it is not normal...maybe the little internal battery that feeds the clock is discharged...it is like the battery of PC motherboards
Accidentally thanked you

are you sure about this? could you try if it happens to you too? just remove the battery for 10seconds and see what happens

It happens exactly the same.
Wrong time and date and after some time it gets corrected.

Its usual if you are replacing it to quick then it will remain otherwise if swapping takes a little time settings will be lost

OK thanks. problem is that if i replace it quickly the charged battery will carry a wrong percentage
Have you tried deleting batterystats.bin when you change the battery?
I have no idea, but you can try if it works..
i tried but it usally makes no difference. the only way to actually get the correct percentage is to lose the date. I wish there was some other way to swap batteries without having these problems
I have always found the battery life to be poor but I have come to accept this device has a large screen and great processing power etc!
My UK phone is rooted on the latest ICS and has various apps frozen with titanium backup manager! It use to be in deep sleep mode for about 68% of the time but since 2 days ago cpu spy says it hasn't been in deep sleep mode! I have installed various apps that kill running apps but the phone fails to sleep!
Any ideas why it isn't sleeping, just sits at 200mhz!

Go to Settings -> Sounds -> Go to the bottom -> disable touch sounds. (Better if you untick all 4 options). Reboot. Leave phone for 10 mins. Check CPU Spy. :good::highfive:
Thanks for the reply, I did that when I first got the phone! Just checked and all the boxes are un-ticked!? Any other ideas?

Turn off custom power saving mode.. Check after that.. I faced issues with these two.. Sometimes even l2_hsic goes crazy and drains the battery.. Check that too.
Thanks, again this setting is disabled on my phone! Still sitting at 200mhz! Though the battery doesn't seem to be draining as much!?

hello sir..
hmm since i read that you installed various apps that kill running apps, maybe that is cause to kernel wakelock since your system always working to searching what app running and killed it in various time you set
..many system app that switch back on like google app no matter you turn off except you log out your account
or maybe you can try one off the famous airplane metode which is
- switch your phone to airplane mode
- turn off your phone and pull out your battery (until 10 sec or more)
- put again your battery and turn on your phone
- after complete reboot let it for a while then turn off the airplane mode
I had the same problem with audio_out one but only in imilka's paranoid Android.. Couldn't fix it in any way so left the rom..
the reason taskkillers are disputed is because memory works different on android. It reloads certain stuff afterbkilling it, causing a cycle of killing and reloaded that can cause more drain than is intended to safe

hi
Each time I use my phone after it was locked, the data traffic is disabled.
which Option or app can be the root cause?
thanks
battery defender
just to complete: it seems that it is related to the App Battery defender... but quite annoying because I expect to have data connections once I wake up the phone from idle...
It's all in yr setting of the app. U can set to few seconds till few minutes for data to restore after unlocked. That how the app work to save battery.

There are certain S5s that have this issue. Quick Connect will cause the phone to get very hot and battery will drain within hours. I actually RMAed a phone for this. Turns out the replacement phone had the same issue. Luckily right when I got the new phone, root became available. If you Freeze QuickConnect with Titanium Backup, issue will be fixed.
As for what QuickConnect does, it is one of Samsung's methods for impromptu device connections like phone to phone to transfer data, or phone to Samsung TV to mirror the screen. Great thing is, if you ever need to use it, you can simply Defrost in TiBu.
