Use smartflashtool to flash the Rom. This way, you unroot and get a clean slate.
thanks
Just uninstall superuser or supersu. Supersu has also an option to fully unroot your device.

i cannot the LG pc suite says my phone is up 2 date
maybe its because i got clockworldmod installed , but no custom rom?
Still cannot update any ideas about it?

i read somewhere did because i have removed system apps i will not get ota anymore is that so?
could that be the reason? i didn't freeze anything just removed them permanently.
if so how can i get back to the original STOCK LG (the easiest way)
because then i can just restore my backup and i am done.

The problem is because you have CWM on the phone,
I had the same issue.
you have to remove CWM (don't know how to do that).
Or do a flash with smartflash back to V10A and then you can update to V10B and then again to V10C.
You are from the netherlands you can also look here: http://gathering.tweakers.net/forum/list_messages/1453370 (is in dutch)
thanks,
i just flashed with 0614 bb and new kernel (BIN_LGP990AT-00-V10c-EUR-XX-APR-16-2011+0)
restoring now the backup
Something strange has happened. Today I flashed the topogigi GB rom. Before flashing, I updated CWM to the latest version (5.0.2.0?) and ran Backtoext3 even though I was already on ext3. The topogigi rom was corrupt (my fault) and wouldn't load. Also all my backups became unavailable in CWM. I ended up flashing an old Nightly which was my only choice. From there I rolled back CWM to the previous release (5.0.1.6?) and flashed an uncorrupted copy of the topogigi rom. Everything worked perfect.
A few hours later, I decided to try to restore my stock 10d backup. That was quite buggy. Among other things, my sim card was locked for a long while and then coming back. I restored my topogigi rom again, and it seems ok, except I have lost root.
What to do now? I wonder if the phone is unstable. Also I need root!
Search for the Superuser thread by ChainsDD, that'll sort out your root.

If you installed a stock rom using smart flash then that procedure makes us the slave user again since that's the company procedure to restore the device !!
Don't worry again root your device using Superone Click !!!!

There is a flashable zip where u can gain root once flashed. Its downloadable from that site.
U got su but probably the su binary got messed up.

First you keep on trying different tricks and traps if none of those worked then use Smart Flash Tool and install the stock rom !!!
After you are done with full installation root your phone and install the CWM recovery !!!
I am sure this will work !!

Yes, as the bootloader isn't locked, any ROM can be rooted. If there is no exploit then NVFlash a recovery and root via that.

If you are able to go into CWM recovery then install MODACO ROM(since it is v2.2.2) and then use "SuperOneClick on Froyo 2.2.2" to root your phone !!

Sorry, but this is insane. If you can boot into CWM, then just flash this: http://downloads.androidsu.com/superuser/su-2.3.6.3-efgh-signed.zip
Flashing a ROM (which already has root) then using SuperOneClick (redundant at this point)..?
Ya I am surprised how can one enter CWM when he is not a SuperUser !!!
But maybe that's why he titled as " Strange behaviour " !!!

I have flashed cm7 in my o2x. But I need to get my phone back to warranty. I have done a nandroid backup for the stock rom.
If I restore my phone from the nandroid backup and unroot it using superoneclick. Is it possible to restore my warranty, will the Clockworkmod recovery also be removed after unroot?
Please help!

Pl. help me how to root P970 Gingerbread V20g. i try unlockroot, Gingersnap Root Utility For Windows but nothing also i try downgrade v10a but after smartflash bootloop problem in my phone only v20f and v20g work.
so pl. help
hi

The only way to make root ur phone is ROM Converter, which has CWM injection.
If you wish to have guarantee on your phone, download the Gingerbread V20G version of kdz file, then convert the kdz file to .bin files
while in the process of ROM converter, it asks for CWM injection (mean rooting). If you want root then continue with that process and it gives output of Rooted V20G files then you can smart flash the .bin files, then you have rooted phone
Remember, if you want guarantee of your phone, keep the backup of V20G .bin files of non-rooted. Whenever you want guarantee of phone, you can smart flash the non-rooted V20G .bin files
After several ways of searching, I did this...Now enjoying with Zeus ROM installing... Thanks to Huexx once more
If I helped you, press the THANKS button

Normally for newcomers in flashing, you could have forgotten to check your cable. Make sure its safe. If your Computer keeps detecting your phone, change the cable.

Downgrade/flash a GB ROM (v20x) x=any ROM and your bootloader is unlocked and you can root and flash custom ROMs. You had ICS installed I guess. This does have a locked bootloader and cant be rooted properly. At least u cant install a custom recovery like CWM or something similar.

Wrong. If you install cwm or whatever other recovery and have the v30 (ICS) bootloader on your phone, it will say: SECURITY ERROR. Which means you are softbricked. If you have the v20 bootloader, it will work, since this bootloader is unlocked by default. That the recovery is accessible via this button combination is true however.

Man, I was on V30B stock (now on izs v2) and i could install CWM via Rom Manager and acces it from phone turn off with the key combo. But I have a problem....maybe you know the solve for it. I can't downgrade from ICS, not even with SFT. I can flash ROMs above ICS(JB , KK) but when I try to install a Froyo or GB (stock or custom rom based on GB) i get a bootloop.

I already read about your issue and also read about that problem more often, but we never found a solution to that problem... Seems like buggy/read-only storage. Maybe contact a LG dev, hope they can help you. But trust me, if you have CWM running, no matter how you boot in it, you have the GB or even Froyo Bootloader(uboot/xloader, dont remember which one it was exactly...)
But if you had the v30 (ICS) you would see a security error. Did you once maybe install a 2nd init ROM, which allows to boot two different ROMs? If you dont know what I am talking about, I can try to find it. I think it was a ROM by BPaul.
But OT END here. Lets discuss this in your thread.
