Has there been any rumblings of Nexus One getting a price drop? It doesn't make a lot of sense to me that it's still retailing for the same price as the Nexus S (at least, according to my friend with Android Developer access).
What happened to the G1? Did the price drop on that after the N1 was released?
Would be interested in this as well done since I'm thinking about getting a second n1 for backup purposes...

If Im correct google stop selling nexus one in general like around october. First you couldnt buy it then omly developers could then they decided to not sell any. Where would you buy it if their was a price drop best buy dont sell it google.com neither.

Guys.. I'm seriously debating selling my streak 7. They are sending me a brand new one since mine got messed up. not a refirb but a brand new retail package so I'm thinking instead of using it putting it up on craigs list for sale and thinking about getting the xoom or just waiting untill the new samsung galaxy 8.9 comes out...
A lot of disappointed guys here! Patience, is a virtue! Ja

Well I headed another direction. I am more and more in love with this device. Especially after seeing a lot of new devices in the market , their specs, their price, their reviews. I think this device is fine and getting better.
Stick around. =)

But I will buy one wifi-only device to pair with this.
For example: Ipad2 wifi only is 499, their wifi+3G is 629 (130 USD higher).
DS7 is 200USD.
So if you buy a ipad 2 wifi + DS 7 , you are paying 70 USD more comparing buying an ipad 2 wifi+3G directly.
But,
what you got is HSPA network
A full functional device + powerful android exposure
better camera (comparing only applicable to ipad 2 only)
"portable" 4G access point.
7inch for your mobile needs etc etc

Ive got more goodness coming up standby for a new thread
sent from my Tbolt.
im putting my brand new streak on craigslist due to the fact that this dell streak 7 thread is filled so many noobs that dont know how xda is run then get mad and run to mods crying foul when i put then in there place , every time a new device comes out we get a whole new crowd of new people that dont like to listen and just post wanting what they want so if this post gets me banned i am sorry but it will be a cold day in xda hell before i get talked down to by someone who just learned what adb is so to those or that one person who did go and cry hey even the mod said it wasnt worth contacting him but for me to relax ...lol i dont know how to relax...."as i hit this blunt" damn l.a weed
I was really close to selling mine and getting the viewsonic gtablet, but then I realized that the gtablet doesn't have Gps and that's the only reason I got the ds7 was because of built-in GPS and would work well in the car.

Glad to see you took Samsung out of the future decision loop. I think 7 in. tablets are perfect... how about HTC tablet? You already have a Tegra II.

I bought my DS7 like every other XDA regular knowing full and well what "Downsides" it has, we all however felt the potential for what it CAN do once the community puts out the custom work on it. I mean we have the 4G model that works with ATT 3G (Which THAT alone is win if this Merger happens... no other tablet has this yet, so least WE dont need to replace), Tegra 2 is the future atm for the devices. So we are set for PS Suite, Netflix and other quality 3d games Android shouldve had awhile ago to compete against iOS games.
It runs smooth, handles well, has a strong promise in the future, plus Dell isnt that bad. They didnt hardlock us out of rooting. =p *Pats Dell's Head*
While things are slow. Least now that we have the ability to flash, things can only go up. =) With Honeycomb coming, we will really be set! Also T-Mobile moving to 21Mbit (Which atm is in Vegas and NY) we will have a good speed too worthy of a Tablet.
Xoom maybe nice, no lie, but I dont need that. =)
Have you guys seen this? http://www.oeebay.com/goods.php?id=801 Im not sure if this is scam.
I sent the seller an email with questions and this is what they said:
Hello:

all of our products is brand new and original with international warranties.it has clean ESN and 3G/Wifi.
please tell me the shipping address so as to tell you the shipping time.
Waiting for your news!
Best regards!
and the wife actually LOVES it My wife gets annoyed with my geeky approach to devices, including rooting, etc. I bought a N7 for myself to use for work and she was eyeing it a little, so I got the last one from Office Max for her birthday. I was nervous about her reaction, but she LOVES it. My devious plan to get her to give up her iPhone 4S at some point is slowly taking shape
She inherited the old nook color. But I would totally buy her one if she wanted it.

My GF has an iPad 2 along with an iPod Touch... so there's really no hope for her. I did, however, buy a Nexus 7 for my parents and they like it a lot. I've simplified the screens to the bare-bones of what they'll be using it for... maps, translators, etc for traveling, game folders, eReader folders for Mom, sports links for Dad, etc...
Then, I went and bought one for myself, too.
My GF fell in love with the Nexus 7 after using mine, so I gave it to her... Then bought another one for myself.
Sold off my A500 and my wife's archos 101 and iPhone 3g and used the money towards 2 nexus 7's!
She loves the thing and is enjoying movies more than anything on it!
I have never had a tablet before, and my girlfriend has had the Kindle fire since Christmas 2011.. I didn't want to buy one for myself and leave her hanging with her Kindle, so I told her that I would buy her a N7 if she gave me her Kindle fire (to sell and pay the difference). She loves it. I do, however, feel bad when I take a look at her device and see it all bogged down with tons of random apps such as "cake maker"
Picking my wife one up soon as well.

My wife is...unfortunately...possessed by the Cult. I'm stunned she hasn't pushed for an iPhone 4S yet and continues to use the Epic 4G.
Since she is hot and smart (except in tech) I'll keep her. LOL

My wife lasted about 3 days after seeing mine.... selling her Kindle Fire to get a Nexus 7. Most likely going with the 8GB, she does primarily online stuff, not much storage.
i bought my own. men are too needy. and want to play with my tech toys. but most of my friends would love this over a smart phone for most device's.

QFT.
My girl is very smart, built her own killer gaming PC, and can converse intelligently on about any subject. It's baffling how she fell for the iCult. I just smile, say nice things about the screen, and inwardly chuckle when she can't tether off her phone, plug in external storage, or do so many of the things we Android folk take for granted. I might just give her a Nexus 7 and see if that lures her away from the Dark Side of the Saint Steve Devoted.
To be fair, her first experience with an Android tablet was a Xoom running 3.0 ...and we all know how laggy and clunky that was.
I quickly got tired of sharing mine with the family so my girlfriend and six year old daughter now share one. It is mostly used to play minecraft by the six year old at the moment.

Not the wife...
Talked grandma into an 8GB N7, due to her Coby Android tablet having a resistive touchscreen and generally a lagfest.
Then after setting up her apps and homescreen on the new N7, I decided I needed a 16GB.
The wife normally gets the hand-me-downs (which are usually brand freakin' new devices lol) but this is my first tablet. I hid it from her for a few days because married men know what it's like to get scolded for buying new toys. But instead, she loved it and proclaimed that she wants one!
I'm so proud of my wife!! I always flash CM nightlies for her and she advocates Android and CM to anyone who mentioned anything about smart phones. She's converted a few Apple fans over to the Android platform too. I'm excited to get her a N7!

My wife is getting my Nook Color. But since I am running MIUI, I did at least put a very frilly theme on it!!!!
I bought a Nexus 7 for myself and my wife is super jealous! We're selling our 32gb HP Touchpad with CM9 flashed on it so she can get a Nexus 7 of her own.
My evil plan of filling our household with Android devices continues to take shape... Now all I'll need to do is to convince her to go Android when she's up for her mobile renewal

Does anyone know where to get any accessories for the N7 from a brick and mortar store in the US? Walmart has stuff listed on their website but they don't have any in stores, and yet they sell the tablet. Five below has a few generic cases but I am mostly after a screen protector for my Fiancee's new N7 and didn't want to have to order if I could avoid it. I guess I can use a cut to fit generic pack if I have to. I just concerned about it in her purse.

Hey guys, I was thinking about getting a nexus 7 but wanted to know if anybody knew about some good deals. I am aware in may the 16gb n7 will be $100 and 32gb n7 will be $150 but i dont feel like waiting that long. Thanks in advance.
I picked up my 32gb Nexus 7 and Walmart for $249. You can check eBay or Craigslist for a cheaper new one, or maybe a used one. Its well worth it, I love this thing!
