Has anyone actually sent their One into have dead/stuck pixels repaired? Just wondering how the process was.
I assume if I am rooted and have the TAMPERED flag... my warranty is void.

But you can send it in for a warranty claim and get it exchanged.
Unlocked bootloaders are typically rejected. However, in many countries, this only applies if they can prove that the damage was caused by the unlocking, and not a regular hardware failure.
How to do that?

Hi, recently I have discovered a dead pixel on the bottom left of my screen, and although this is amount, I'm willing to just deal with it. My question is will this cause any further damage to my phone or make it more prone to damage? Thanks in advance.

No to your question. Have you tried running a dead pixel fixing video? I've never had any luck with them personally but they work for some people. Also if the phone is in warranty I think you can get it repaired free.
Thanks a lot, great to know it shouldnt make anything worse. Also sadly my phone is out of warranty but ill try a tutorial.

Yes. My Phone is dead. I wanted to take it to Service center.
If Samsung Service center repairs or replace my mother board, are they able to find out that I rooted my phone when the device is fixed. i.e., still rooting exists after new motherboard installation.
Edit:
Yes. I was installing new rom Slimrom.
You need to be more specific, what did you do before it died? did you flash a rom without being on a safe kernel or did a car roll over it?

no after the motherboard replacement they can't know that you were rooted or not

AFTER it has been fixed is not the issue. But if it is totally DOA, they won't see anything beforehand. BTW, did you do anything with CWM.zip prior to bricking?

Well that's a dumb idea. It most likely won't work.
Probably the best solution is to call your local Sony help center or even better write them an e-mail since some people asked and the answer varies between countries/warranty centres. If they say it does void the warranty ask them if they can replace it (the should be able to) and if it doesn't write them an e-mail for confirmation (in case later on they change their answer).
Here in Singapore, one of us emailed sony.sg and asked about the ASF, they said that removing ASF doesn't void the warranty

i think it's depending on the country and its laws, and the type of demage you want to get warranty for.
i guess warranty won't be void if your cpu will be defect. what has removing the ASF to do with a burned cpu??
but if you drop your phone and the screen cracks...they will say "no warrenty because of removing the ASF".
hi,
i just wanted to know if i unlocked the bootloader does it voids warranty and if i want to claim the warranty what should i do
does relocking it again will do it or once you unlock it , its gone

he already answered your question
IMO (and I have returned re-locked handsets without question) you should be fine.
Relock and return the faulty unit, regardless of any claims made that you voided warranty by unlocking bootloader if the device is defective you have an un-deniable right as a consumer to warranty. Good luck.

Customer's phone. AT&T warranty felt claims physical damage when it's clearly the battery swelling. We referred to Samsung and they are taking care of it.. just wondering if anyone has experienced this. Could potentially be dangerous
