Hi,
I used moonshines method. check out moonshine.io for more information about it.

fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
Ummm, but, you may want to check that wont brick your device! You may need to put stock hboot on first. Or something else. I dunno. Check in the freenode group?

Thank you! worked like a charm

Did you check? Did you need stock hboot?

Well i changed cid to HTC__001 and ran Ruu 1.29.401.7 and tested ota and After it worked i put on s-on
Thx again

Please clarify in your post above that you did the command after flashing an RUU. (i.e., with stock hboot)

Well i used the command you wrote a couple of posts up
Fastboot oem writesecureflag 3 After i ran the ruu and successfully booted up

Look, when you flash an RUU it flashes the stock HBOOT so the S-ON command will work fine. No need to keep asking for clarification

I don't want somebody who is too impatiant to read a few posts to brick their device with the command I gave because somebody else said it worked. I want them to go back and say "I did that command after an RUU and it worked".

If they're impatient then it's their own fault. All anyone needs to know if once you have flashed an RUU you are 100% stock so running the S-ON command should have no ill-effects

[Q] S-off guide?

Ok so Im somewhat of a noob so I was wondering if any experts can help me out?
I wanted to get S-off on my HTC one so I can change my MID (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2322820)
I have a few problems with S-off?
Firstly, do I have to have my phone rooted to get s-off?
If yes, then I have to unlock the boot loader first and then root it right? If so can you give me a simple guide that shows how to unlock the bootloader followed by rooting?
Secondly, Can you give me a link to a SIMPLE guide to get s-off?

Yeah mine is Hboot 1.44.000 but before do the S-off tutorial, Should I unlock the bootloader and root the phone? or can I just do S-off?
Revone s-off can be run from a fully stock Rom, with no need to unlock the bootloader or rooting before. (Following the guide linked in previous post)

Using adb commands while booted in the stock Rom.
No you can be fully stock while using the revone guide if you don't want to unlock via the HTCdev method.
You only need to be rooted if you want to s-off without the use of a pc (using terminal emulator on your device).

I don't think you should be messing with S-Off when you don't really know what you're doing and haven't even got adb installed
Also, changing your MID can be risky and is a lot trickier than simple S-Off, which you should know how to do. I know someone who bricked their phone changing the MID.

I guess you are right. My knowledge is limited and I don't wont to brick my phone.
But on the other hand, I really need the 4.2.2 update. I have some problems with the current one.
Anyways, When I use fastboot, I get CID HTC__001.
Thats USA so I'm guessing it'll be a while for the update to come out huh? But my phone is not locked to any carrier.
How long do you think itll take before update OTA is available?
Thanks alot man

what is your device's MID ..? you don't have to mess with it if it's already PN0710000, changing the CID to HTC__Y13 should be enough to get 4.2.2 .. you can get your MID by typing fastboot getvar mid adb command ..

Thank you so much.
I started doing what you said before you put this post.
I did the same thing but in step 3 I just changed the CID to HTC__Y13 instead of fastboot oem writecid 11111111.
When I rebooted I got the update for 4.2.2 and downloaded it too. But when installing it reboots into recovery and says aborted.
Do I have to to steps 4 5 6 7 8 or is there way to just install the downloaded OTA?

You don't need to relock, if you're s-off you can run whatever RUU you like.

Where was the phone purchased and what was the carrier? It's possible your CID was changed.
Assuming htc__001 is correct, the RUU collection is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39588860
There are no RUUs for 4.2, so this would mean downgrading. But you should then start getting OTAs.
Note that running a RUU will fully wipe the phone. So back up anything on it you want to keep.

You have superCID, which means any RUU will run. You have the generic European model. CIDGetter is pulling the original cid from some system file, but it doesn't reflect the actual cid.

That is a bit trickier and riskier since you don't know what was done to your phone before you bought it. I don't recommend going back to s-on because of this. However, running the correct RUU should put you back to safe stock.
Once the RUU has run and you've confirmed that the phone boots and is back to a stable stock configuration, you need to reboot and run a series of commands in fastboot:
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
This will restore your stock CID. Note that there are two underscores there.
fastboot reboot-bootloader
Confirm on your bootloader screen that the CID is correct.
fastboot oem lock
This will relock your bootloader. Reboot again and confirm that it says "LOCKED" on your bootloader (Not "RELOCKED"). Boot up your phone and confirm that everything seems to be running correctly. You may want to give this a few days. Then reboot to bootloader when you're comfortable with it.
fastboot oem writesecureflag 3
This will put you back to s-on. When you reboot from here, your bootloader should say LOCKED and S-ON as if it was out of the box.

I too need to put my T-mobile HTC One back to stock somehow, but don't even know where to start, I saw this thread so I didn't want to clutter up the subforum, and thought that maybe I should ask here. You need to s-off first or it will say "RELOCKED" on the bootloader. Problem is you may or may not be able to s-off right now. There is a new T-Mo exploit that supposedly works but I know nothing about it.
Once you do that, you can run an older RUU, which will remove the TAMPERED from the bootloader, then relock and s-on as described above.

Crap. [SOLVED] Achieve S-OFF with 4.3 GPe Rom

Not first time flasher, I installed a stock GPe 4.3 rom on my One and now I want to fully convert it. Right now, the device is:
- CID = TELUS001 (Telus in Canada)
- Bootloader: Unlocked
- HBoot: 1.44
- S-ON
My attempt to achieve S-OFF with Revone, in order to proceed to the first steps of the conversion, was unsuccessful because of my 4.3 rom. My question is about my next move. As I am unable to recover a non corrupted Telus RUU, I was wondering which option would best suit my needs:
1. I flash any 4.2 rom and then achieve S-OFF using Revone.
2. I get it back to stock using the Easy Stock Reset tool. Although I guess it won't work because of my CID but I probably miss something here.
3. Anything else.
I would like to have an advice/thought/coment on that.
Thanks

Hi guys, you are on
1- hboot 1.44 (and check the date in bootloader screen to make sure it's before June 2013)
2- your firmware is 1.xx
3- you want to use revone to get s-off
if yes to above, send me a PM with title "Request for 4.1.2 ROM for revone", and I'll reply to it when I can.

I too am in boot-loop hell and need the 4.1 Stock rom
nkk71 said:
Hi guys, you are on
1- hboot 1.44 (and check the date in bootloader screen to make sure it's before June 2013)
2- your firmware is 1.xx
3- you want to use revone to get s-off
if yes to above, send me a PM with title "Request for 4.1.2 ROM for revone", and I'll reply to it when I can.

Use Guru Reset ROM: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/
flashable through CWM or TWRP, select WIPE, select ROOT, unselect "stock recovery"
then use rumrunner to get S-Off

[Q] can somebody please help me to go back to stock?

At first, my english is not so good and i'm a noob with computers...sorry!
I will try to explain as good as i can what my situation is about,
I have a HTC One and have to go back to stock for warranty.
The problem is that i really don't know what to do because i bought the Phone that was allready root and the firmware Android Revolution HD.
here are some screenshots in my dropbox, but can't find the main firmware in fastboot because the field is empty
EDIT: can't upload screens because i am new here
What else can i do, there are many, many ways and they are all different, don't know what to choose or do.
I am searching last 2 weeks every day at least 4 hours but till now i didn't do anything haha.
Can someone please help me with a step by step tutorial, and if you need more info, tell me what you want and how to do it.
Steven
On my bootscreen (volume down + power) is the following information...

-eMMC-boot
-Apr 12 2013, 12:10:45-1
On the computer in fastboot usb (fastboot getvar all)
it will not show me the main version when i type "fastboot getvar version-main" it is empty.

( there is some more info but i don't think it is important?)
I believe it's easy for you to go stock. Use revone to gain s-off and then flash the 1.29.401.7 RUU. Lock bootloader and you 're done

can i use revone from the m7 all in one toolkit?
and then also lock from the toolkit after flashing?
thank you for your quick response.
Now i am S-off, thank you!
but can't find the ruu 1.29.401.7 to download, where can i find it?
And is it possible to flash it with the "All in one toolkit" ?
and after that i have to lock my bootloader or before flashing?
sorry for all the questions but i'm a total noob with android and rooting.
Thanks
And what i found on google is for HTC one X, is that not a problem?

My bad. You need 1.28.401.7
Here you are http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_...1-27_10-31-1131-05_release_310878_signed-exe/
Thank you, no problem.
I am downloading the file now, is it okay to flash it with all in one toolkit, because i think that is the most easy way, or do you prefer another way?
Thank you very very very much for the help

it's a signed EXE file you run from a windows PC
Thank you all for the help.
It didn't work for me that way, but from the site you have given to me i get it worked.
It was another ruu that i had to download, but then it worked fine and i'm nou at stock rom.
I could do the ota's and now i am on android 4.3, sense 5.5 and software 3.62.401.1
But when i want to go back to s-on, it says that when i have the wrong stock rom my device will be bricked.
How do i know if it really is the same rom it was before rooting?
Or is it not a problem because everything works now fine, included ota update?
I want to thank the people that helped me so fast, while it was my first post here.

DO NOT GO BACK TO S-ON. There is no need to do that. Just be stock with LOCKED bootloader and you re fine.

Telus RUU HTC One M7 Error??

Good Evening:
I have a HTC One M7UL with Telus (Canada). I have been having problems with the phone charging while it's on and my last ditch effort is to go back to stock and hope something that's wrong will correct itself.
I have HBoot 1.44, S-Off, returned recovery to stock, relocked bootloader, 1.29.661.
I tried using the RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_TELUS_WWE_4.19.661.8_R_Radio_4T.24.3218.09_10.26.1718.01L_release_351500_signed_2.exe to update and return to stock.
Everything goes fine until the RUU asks me to upgrade from 1.29 to which I select "yes" and then I get an Error (158) and it tells me to find the correct RUU.
Anybody have an idea what I'm doing wrong or if they have a different RUU that I should be using?
Any assistance that gets this working might receive a "donation"
thanks in advance.

Looks promising, do I flash this from recovery, or do I do an ADB push or is there an exe in the zip I can run from the PC?

install from recovery, you'll have to unlock your bootloader again though :/ and re name it to rom and just use command adb push rom.zip /sdcard

Just want to make sure, I just go into recovery, wipe and then install the file via recovery? Seems to easy. I don't have to relock bootloader or flash the stock recovery first?
