Help Please - Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have flashed my phone many times with no issue. I just tried to flash a new rom and am stuck in boot screen. I can reboot into recovery mode and have tried starting the process afresh by loading phil base rom etc, all works but still get stuck in boot screen. Can anyone please help.

Have try with odin too?

No - not sure what rom I should flash with ODIN and not used it before. I don't have stock rom

I don't know if it helps. Whatever rom I try to flash through normal recovery mode, other than phils base rom, comes up with a zip error as it starts to load.

flash only with philz kernel after proper wipes, also you can try to install the stock kernel of the custom rom for eg CM10.1 kernel and then try. Moreover if you would like to go back to stock kernel first and then try the custom rom , you can refer to this tutorial and download link for stock rom:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
edit: forgot to mention, have you tried wiping cache and dalvik cache when you get stuck on bootloop?

[Q] Galaxy Ace stuck in reboot loop

My Galaxy Ace is stuck in a reboot loop after trying to flash 2.3.6 onto it, when it had 2.3.5 on it previously.
I've used ODIN and no matter what firmware I try to flash onto it, it just goes into a reboot loop.
Any idea how to fix it?
Did you try to do a wipe?

press down home button and then power on phone ...--> you will enter into recovery mode .
select wipe with help of volume keys and there you go out of bootloop
My Galaxy Ace is also in some sorta reboot loop.
Everything was working fine with it (phone is rooted and CWM installed) until I did a phone reset because I was giving the phone to my gf. After doing this the phone reboots, the blue samsung logo plays (without sound) and then repeats ad-infinitum. I can get into recovery mode and download mode ok and I've tried wipe and even restored a CWM backup (it says it was successful) but the phone just keeps rebooting. I can see the phone in odin but I've never tried to flash anything onto it and quite frankly I'm unsure whether it would just make things worse (if it needs to go back to Samsung for repair). Any help would be appreciated...
If you have cwm ..why dont you download some custom rom like cm7and flash it ..that would bring your phone back to life ...then you can downgrade to stock rom if you want ...and btw in cwm try cache partition , clear data /factory reset and clear dalvik cache ..see if it boots after you do this ..

when i always flash by odin or by cwm i always do wipe , wipe cache and wipe dalvik, this helps me everytime
I managed to flash a firmware from samfirmware and it fixed the reboot.
Now my issue is when I connect to Kies, it says there's an updated firmware for the phone but it fails every attempt to install it. I went back to samfirmware and found this firmware: S5830ZSKPD ## but when I download and extract it there's only 1 x MD5 file and 1 x DLL file?! The other firmware had the 4 or 5 files needed to include in Odin... any ideas guys?
I think its a "one package file " ..I forgot the correct name but there is some option like that in odin ..dont worry it contains all the required files ..and if you are scared to do it then go to you tube ..there are many tutorials showing it then...

Yep, that's exactly what it was, thanks again.
Unfortunately with this firmware, Kies doesn't recognise it and provides no info.
I flashed back to the older firmware... I'll just have to keep experimenting I guess.

Well I could flash it with Odin if I had the firmware but I don't.
It appears it's not available on SamFirmware.com
Do you know where I can download the following firmware?
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
Thanks
Lol I cant understand those firmwares ..can you tell me which version of android you want like 2.3.4/2.3.5/2.3.6 ...then ill be able to help you wanr

Thanks anyway but I managed to find the firmware online and flashed it using Odin.
Now Kies says I'm using the latest which is a good start : )
Now I just need to find a way to root my SGS2 GT-I9100T
U can try a custom ROM from the Developer's forums here.
I also once stucked in the Reboot Loop..............
But then I installed a custom or if you want features from a official Rom, you can install Stock Based custom ROm from the Developer forums of Galaxy Ace. Really good Rom have been made by the developers
In the chance that someone else is looking for this latest OEM firmware update:
PDA:KPD / PHONE:KPD / CSC:KPC (THL)
It can be downloaded from: http://translate.googleusercontent....flgljh&usg=ALkJrhiMpHV83dugh4RGwhKpyjIrYIgn2Q
It is in "one part file" format and can be flashed using Odin.
whatever may be the problem ......just rem to keep a backup of ur previously used rom and just flash it with cwm...
Progress?

[Q] Galaxy Note TheMIDTeam 1.1 Codename "B&G" Problems

Hi
I had a problem occurring frequently when trying to install TheMIDTeam 1.1 Codename "B&G".
Coming from the GB stock rom that can be directly rooted (Version KL3), I was on step 1. while using mobile odin pro and select install file. I choose the midnote base 2.1 and the kernel image zimage. then i select the all the options(Everoot, su, mobile odin and wipe data/cache). i perform the md5 check and it flashes and reboots into recovery.
the problem is at this point. it reboot into recovery but it reflashes everything that was flashed in mobile odin pro and reboots again. it does this repeatedly. even if i pull out the battery and put it back and boot into it. the only way to get out of in is to use pc odin and install the stock KL3 rom.
Please help in the install of the rom...
Thanks in advance

You can download
lp1 repack from here:
http://www.mirorii.com/fichier/3/501208/I9220LP1-N7000-ICS-REPACK-tar.html
- Put it on your sd card,
- open Mobile Odin and press "open file", find lp1 repack file and select it.
- keep ever root, super user & inject mobile odin checked. Also check "wipe date and cache"
- Flash firmware
Once finished you will be in cwm recovery. Boot your device.
Then open mobile odin again and select the base file, then kernel file then repeat - keep ever root, super user & inject mobile odin checked. Also check "wipe date and cache"
- Flash firmware
Hope this helps

[Q] HELPPPPP please soft brick

Hey peeps iv got a big problem it happened yesterday with my Galaxy note GTn7000. I was on stock ICS LPT and was flashing new kernels through CWM when suddenly my phone just kept freezing on the Samsung screen when I start it up and it has been happening since yesterday. I think it was the speedmod ICS kernel that I flashed that made this happen. I flashed Abys kernel through odin and could get in to CWM. I did factory reset/wipe cache/dalvik/cache and then flashed checkrom which was on my SD card. Installation was fine but then it got stuck on the Galaxy note startup screen. I was searching for answers on the XDA forums and someone suggested that you flash a stock full wipe GB rom. So I tried to flash LC1 open Europe rom and was waiting for an hour the the rom to flash through ODIN which had only a bit left on the bar to flash and it didn’t flash it just froze. I tried 3 times and the same thing happened . I have used the USB jig to erase previous downloads and reset binary count. I flashed ICS LPT rom through odin and it flashed normally but when it starts up it gets stuck on the Samsung screen. Any suggestions? I can get into download mode and CWM so it means Im in a softbrick. Do you think I should download an ICS rom and put it on to my SD card and then try flashing it ? Help would be appreciated thanks.
Here is the video of what happens. Basically i have waited for 4 hours yesterday and it just stays on the samsung screen
Hey, Id recommend you flashing back to GB via ODIN before we continue.
ICS still has a few bugs and that could interfere with getting you back up and running.
Hey thanks i will download a new GB stock rom, i cant post the video link because im a new member dang...

So you've extracted the original tar file, you don't need to, just point the original tar file to the pda section of pc odin, it will sort out each partition for you.

Reflash stock via odin. Your device mightn't boot for the first time. Then reconnect & reflash via odin right away. Your device will boot. If it doesn't, take off the battery & put it back, go to recovery mode & do a factory reset & reboot. It should work. But before doing all this, remember, close all the intervening programs like kies, etc & make sure you have the latest device drivers installed.

[Q] Galaxy Note N7000 Firmware Error

Hi all..
My friend encountered this issue recently..
where the phone cannot be started and the firmware error appears.
I've tried several attemps on recovering it back.
1. it cannot go into stock recovery mode
2. it can go into download mode
so i've tried to flash thru odin:
1) philztouch custom recovery
2) stock rom jelly bean from sammobile.com
both attemps failed.
so my next move is to connect thru kies.
it failed again as it does not detect the device to do the emergency phone recovery.
so now im in the idea of trying to flash custom recovery again and a custom rom. do not know whether it works or not, but ill try.
any other solutions/ideas?
Thanks.

If you cannot get the rom to flash.... You have to go through the philz kernel using odin.. Try to flash philz kernel xxlta version again using odin. Make sure you remove the battery for a couple of seconds. Then boot into odin mode. Use main USB ports and genuine USB cable.
