So this is my problem.
I have a a i9000 with Gingerbread on it, baseband xxjvt. I root the phone, boot into clockworkmod recovery, do wipe data, delete partition cache, select rom from sd card to install, the install start, appear samsung logo, logo of the mod then it goes to black screen. After a while (5-10 minutes), after pressing the on/off button, the rom starts and it works fine. I´ve tried this with Cyanogenmod 10.1 (jellyBean 4.2.2) and Remics rom. After that, when I turn on the phone when it´s shut down, samsung logo and cyanogenmod logo appear and again black screen without beeing able to see the boot animation. After a minute, the phone starts. And another problem is that I can´t boot in clockworkmod recovery at all, only black screen after these 2 logos.
I hope someone has understanded my problem and will be able to help. Thanks in advance....
flash again after formating system in recovery

So, I´ve done the following :
-flashed with Odin the stock ROM from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1583026
-flashed in download mode with this http://download.chainfire.eu/127/CF-Root/SGS/CF-Root-XX_OXA_JVT-v4.3-CWM3RFS.zip
-entered recovery mode (3.0 was I think)
-wipe data/ factory reset
-wipe cache partition
-under advanced wipe dalvik cache.....This appeared selecting wipe : E: unknown volume for path (/sd-ext)
-under mounts and unmounts i´ve selected format /system
-select zip from sd card ... I´ve tried to install Remics v5 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2075058
-at checking device id...phone restarts, show Samsung logo with the phone model, it show Macay logo, then black screen and that it stays....The back and home buttons light up when pressed. I can only go to download mode, no recovery mode, just black screen and i can shut down by holding the power button.
I´ve tried flashing the same way CyanogenMod 9 and 10.1. Even it´s black screen, it seems that this 2 instal, cause after a few minutes of wait i log press the power button to shut down, the power on and after a time of black screen it goes on the android. And recovery mode don´t work in this cases.
What to do?

I´ve done all of this and follwed the instructions from thread above by letters. After flashing CM 10.1, after a couple of second, I get black screen, the ROM seems to install. It´s boot up with no boot animations and it´s starts. Only CM 10.1 boot, other rom don´t finish installing. And in CM 10.1, I dont have recovery, even if I install CWM again. From the time I power on the phone till it´s in Android it´s only black screen...
Help....

I have a peculiar problem.
I flashed a Doc Rom yesterday. After restarting the phone simply will not go past Black white samsung screen. I thought something might be wrong and flashed JPY firmware using odin. It was successful. But everything is fine except that the phone will not go past the Galaxy S boot animation screen. When I went to recovery mode it is showing an error message which goes something like this" cannot mount media. sd card requires preparation. go to the UI and format and boot options." I have got 3 button recovery as well as download mode. Is it possible to correct this error using ADB? Can somebody guide me. I am desperate as I love my phone very much.
i will not look for the problem cause ... if you have cwm check if lagfix is disabled and flash new rom via "install zip file" in cwm ... don't worry your phone is fine

At present condition, I have no CWM. I have only recovery 3e. Is it possible to flash CVM rhrough Odin?
If you can flash voodoo kernel, that has CMW inbuilt? Then try and figure it out from there?
I solved the problem by doing the following steps:
1. followed this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=807784 and flashed XWJM8 whatever that may mean.
2. Voila after flashing the above with odin my phone restarted with familiar UI.
3. Suddenly I noticed that my phone does not have an IMEI and my sim card not detected. I was tempted to copy my backed up EFS folder and I resisted the temptation. Instead I copied the CWM and Doc's rom which I was using prevously to the External SD and afterwards copied the same to Internal SD.
4. I started my phone in recovery mode and i could see that still the error message was there. But I flashed CWM and again flashed Doc's Rom. After the phone restarted, I found that my sim was detected and everything was back to normal. OMG what a relief it was.
5. Thanks to XDA and it's members for helping me.
if u have root acess (and i hope yes)
u have to restore system, turn off and than turn on pressing home and volume up, 3 bottons in same time, than with volume keys and home choose BACKUP AND RESTORE, than ADVANCED RESTORE and than SYSTEM, if u have maked a backup u have to chose that backup or one of them if u have more. let him restore and choose REBOOT PHONE. now u have phone again.
if u need some help email me [email protected]

Borrowing the tread. I was using CM9 and installed NStools and after a while my phone rebooted and started then froze at my homescreen. I went in to recovery and did a factory reset and the phone worked again. So I tried installing NStools again and got bootloops so I did a factory reset again but now I get bootloops and I can't go in to recoverymode.
My question is can I just flash EZbase 4.0 (Gingerbread) and then flash CM9 directly from it?
Thanks.
Installed firmware drZMIUIv4 beta5. Now the phone bootloop. Can not get into recovery. Instead, on the phone trying to boot.

sorry you lost me with that one??
Flash a firmware via Odin > CWM > STOCK CM7/MIUI (Very important) > Miui ICS
Going from sammy to ICS will not work, make sure you flash a CM7 stock or MIUI stock build.
Also when installing CM7/miui from sammy rom if you get bootloop tap battery out and redo it, problem when updating CWM
I had the same issue.
I flashed stock GB ROM via ODIN, then flashed kernel with CF-ROOT.
In recovery I installed vanilla MIUI, then restored my nandroid backup, but I won't install BETA4/5 until it gets fixed.
on the last pages of the thread is a "zimage" flash this via odin and you have ur recovery back -
i've got a problem with sim-card reading. went back to beta4.
Hello guys, I've updated my SG+ to the latest firmware (XXKQ1) using ODIN over my old firmware (I didn't want to lose any settings/apps, sorry noob). My phone just started giving me forced app ending errors and now it's stuck in the bootloop (animation).
Any sugestion would be helpful! I would love a solution that would not require a total wipe of my settings/pics/etc.
try to get in download mode again by pressing volume button down, home button and power button. Open Odin select the firmware you downloaded as onepackage file and flash again but i think your pics and stuff like that will be gone.
Usually it should boot normally after a flash, without resetting anyway. But it helps in 90% to reset your device, maybe it doesn't boot up because you didn't resetted it. So im sorry to say that but I think you have to do that, or flash the firmware you had before..
For resetting you can go into the recovery mode (by pressing vol+ and power button, then when the "android out of the box" appears release these buttons and press the menu softbutton), then choose wipe data/factory reset or something like this. ^^
This doesn't seems to be solved.
I have the same problem, I did factory reset, formatted /system, wipe cache, dalvik, after updating I fixed permissions, but the phone is still on bootloop.
I did: RemICS 1.3 and CyanogenMod 9 with CWM 5.5.0.4. Always bootloop.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1735976
Any help?
The only ROM that is working is the original one from samfirmware.com.
I'm sorry for post under the post, but I wanted to go this topic to the top, so anybody with this issue would see it.
I have tested one solution and it help with me:
Before uploading CWM into the Phone, format external sdcard. After that upload on external sdcard the zip archive with ROM and upload CWM with Odin.
After going to recovery mode and installing the ROM (I uploaded RemICS 1.3a), everything work just fine.
bootloop

My Samsung Galaxy Note N-7000 is stuck on Samsung logo, I have some photos still not backup, I tried to root my device but unsuccessful:crying:. How can i backup my data? or what can i do in recovery mode?
What steps did you take to root?
Sent from my GT-N7000 using xda premium
Thank you for your reply. Here are the steps i did:
1. I was download a file (00-Note_ICS_Root) on other website. when i unzip this file, there are two files CWM.zip (clockworkmod recovery) & SU-Busybox-Installer.zip.
2. Copy them to external micro sdcard, and boot into recovery mode
3. Choose "apply update from external storage"
4. Go to "00-Note_ICS_Root" folder and choose CWM.zip, the screen show a few lines of texts and boot into ClockworkMod Recovery
5. There are 7 options, (1. reboot system now, 2. install zip from sdcard, 3. wipe data/ factory reset, 4. wipe cache partition, 5. backup and restore, 6. mounts and storage, 7. advanced) I was choose option 2, then follow the steps and choose the "SU-Busybox-Installer.zip"
6. After the phone loading something and show completed, reboot system.
00-Note_ICS_Root attached for your reference, thanks!
ICS and cwm.zip: risk of hard bricking your device.
So, if you only choose option 2 this shouldn't have happened until now.
But stop using this!
First of all get into safety:
Download a JB stock Rom and install it with PC Odin (read here).
If this works then you didn't brick your device.
After this you can try to root your device again (if you really need this and accept to learn and read).
ThaiDai, I have fixed the problem and get back my data already, thank you so much for your help!

How did you fix it?
I recently flashed Paranoid android 3.9 on a Galaxy Note N-7000, was working fine until it switched off. Every time I switch it on, it doesn't go past the "Samsung Galaxy Note" boot page. I can't get to the recovery options either.
Please Help!
Flash a custom kernel tar file from odin (like philz) and thus will give you access to recovery. Then you can reflash the same rom again.
OR
Flash a stock JB rom using odin and phone in download mode.

I had same issue. In recovery mode I did again dirty flashed the pa ROM and then cleared the dalvik cache (which is important)
This should do the trick

Solution
Please do Following:-
Normally such problems occur if Dirty Flash is made. you need to boot into recovery and wipe data, cache and Delvik Cache.
If you cant boot into recovery unfortunately you have to do what i suggest in succeeding lines;
Download Stock Rom and Odin on PC from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
there is also a guideline how to flash Stock rom with Odin.
Home+Vol Down+ Power button will take you to Download Mode. Press volume up button once and connect the phone to PC. Open Odin and Flash the stock rom (Complete Guide on above referred thread)
Once done with it .. let the phone to start
Now download Philz Recovery from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1901191
Please remember to download corresponding recovery as mentioned in Post 2 & 3
Put it into SD card
Now boot into Recovery mode. With Default Recovery Flash Philz Recovery and Reboot into Recovery.
Now your Note is rooted and you can safely install any Rom .. Remember always be on safe kernel before you flash any rom
i wonder if there is a way out of a bootloop that works no matter what, as long as you can enter download mode.
after reading for 3 days and flashing everything i could (flashing stock ROM, WIPE_I8190.tar.md5, PARAM_I8190.tar.md5, "LeFreu" I8190 серв. укр) it all gave me the same result: bootloop.
i made a back up before flashing a custom ROM (Dmod V6 and Virginity V3 as they seemed like the best ones) so if any of u help me access CWM recovery or TWRP i could do a restore and make my phone work again.
NOTE: the only way i managed to use CWM recovery the first time was rooting with odin "I8190XXALL2_I8190OXXALL1_HOME_rooted_by_avicohh" and then downloading rom manager from the playstore
the attached screenshot shows my device info from factory, can anyone help me restore my phone?

i need serious help.
i have a galaxy s3 mini gt-i8190 and im stuck on a bootloop
i bought it in new sealed condition and it came with this firmware (see attached screenshot)
and when i tried to update it a window popped saying that my device was modified and that software update were not available.
i decided to root my phone so i could install a new rom.
i downloaded all the software i needed including drivers dor the usb samdung devices and enabled usb debuging in developer options
then i used odin to flash I8190XXALL2_I8190OXXALL1_HOME_rooted_by_avicohh
then i tried flashing custom recovery via odin also
everything went normal but custom recovery was not sticking, meaning no matter what type of custom recovery i flashed (twrp, cwm) i ended up having 3e stock recovery.. (NOTE: the 3e stock recovery before AND after flashing rooted ROM, had always a broken android on the floor with an exclamationg sign in its chest) so i tried another method:
i downloaded root checker from the playstore and rom manager. after checking i was rooted (wich i was) i flashed cwm recovery and succesfully was able tu boot into cwm recovery. i did a back up in both, internal storage and external sd, and procedded to flash Dmod V6. i followed the aroma installer and when it finished i selected reboot system now and got a bootloop.
i entered in cwm recovery and did a restore. did a full wipe (data, cache and dalvik) and tried flashing another rom: virginity ROM. followed the aroma installer and selected reboot system now, the result was bootloop.
when i was trying to do another restore the recovery told me that the system would try to flash stock recovery again and i choosed to keep the cwm recovery.
at this point my phone was able to turn on and boot normally. tried again to flash via cwm the virginity rom and got a bootloop again. so i went to do another restore and this time i choosed diferently (flash stock recovery) and when the restore ended i selected rebbot system now and got a bootloop AGAIN.
now i cannot enter CWM recovery (i guess that is obvious because i choosed to flash stock one)
i have readed 3 days now and tried everything that the forums say: flashing stock firmware, flashing WIPE_I8190.tar.md5, flashing PARAM_I8190.tar.md5 and still ended with a bootloop. tried flashing I8190 серв. укр (LeFleur) and nothing, absolutely nothing works.
i even downloaded Unified_Android_Toolkit_v1.2.8 and tried to flash stock firmware but nothing seems to work. all my phone does is bootloop, and boot into download mode.
can a serious developer help me solve this? im about to give up.... and that seriously affects me because im not a quitter.
any help would be greatly apreciated...
