[q] PLEASE HELP :(

Hey everyone, I've been stuck on the g1 "rainbow" screen.
Yesterday, my phone died on me and then i decided to leave it off until the next day. Today, I plugged in the charger but when i try to turn on the g1, it goes to the rainbow screen and displays "serial0" near the middle.
I've tried installing the rc33 dreaimg.nbh ... and it DOES install, but when i restart the phone, it just goes back to the same rainbow screen.
What can i do?!! Please help.
If it's of any importance, the rainbow screen also displays:
DREA100 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.85.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-1.22.12.29

[Q] Cant factory reset

sounds like you have no recovery.. is your device rooted? try holding home and power to turn it on (when its powered off of coarse)
ive tried that, it goes straight to the same creen with serial0 in the middle
oOo uhhhhmmmmm i dunno if that means its bricked..? i hope not.. wat have you tried so far? and wat else does it say when you get it on? it only says serial 0??
anything i try to do, it ends up at the screen that i said before with 4 different setions horizontally, red, green, blue and white. on the red portion there are yellow letters that read as such:
"DREA100 PVT 32B
HBOOT-0.95.0000
CPLD-4
RADIO-2.22.23.02
SEP 2 2008"
then on the middle of there is a white strip across that says "serial0" in black letters and thats all.
i havent tried much, just read a few suggestions on other websites with different button combos to get it to work but they didnt. i also took it to the t-mobile store and the guy who helped me did a factory reset and when he rebooted it, it went straight back to this screen and he said he didnt know what to do

hmmm... try to flash this nbh file.. jus boot up into that screen like usual and have this file on root of sd card. than when it powers up it should say something about an update.. press what it says to press to apply the update.. ( just incase turn the phone on by holding camera button and power button)
http://www.4shared.com/file/9SCWX8Id/DREAIMG.html
i tried that, the update will complete and tell me to press the track ball but when i do it goes right back to that colored screen then the update just comes up again

[Q] Completely bricked. No orange light, can't turn on, PC won't detect it!

Hey guys,
Yesterday I ran RUU to update my phone. After it finished upgrading, I haven't been able to turn it on. My phone has S-OFF and had recovery on it.
i've tried going into recovery (via volume down + power), and have not been able to get into the hboot menu. I've taken off the battery, etc. tried a lot of things, but the phone just will not turn on.
I searched, and some people mentioned the SLCD problem, but the thing is that my phone isn't even recognized.
Any help here plz!
Ed
Also, when I say it doesn't turn on, I don't mean by bootlooping at HTC screen. i mean that the computer is like 100% dead, screen doesn't turn on, no nothing. PC doesn't detect it. I've also tried making it go into HBOOT thinking it's SLCD problem, and seeing if my PC can detect it...but it can't
I have read in other forums that leaving it for a few hours may help
As in leaving it overnight, and coming back to it the next morning
Maybe leave the battery out for a few hours, see if it helps
Not saying it will definitely work, just a suggestion
Could this be what happened?

[Q] Bricked? Or dead? Please help...

Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me.
I have an Incredible S with Virtuous Quattro installed. I did that 3 weeks ago. Since then I experienced 4 freezes and the buttons (although working) didn't light up at all or just flickered. But this is not the problem, I just mention this in case it is relevant.
I put the phone last night on the charger and realized this morning that the screen was frozen again, I removed the battery and reinserted it. The phone seems to start (vibrates and when connected to the PC it also tells me it loads the driver) but nothing else happens. No screen output at all. I tried now umpteen times, removed battery and tried to press power button whilst holding the vol up button, all to no avail.
Do you have any idea?
Try volume down + power ..

Tried that but phone doesn't react at all, doesn't even vibrate as it does when pressing vol up + power or power alone :crying:
But thanks for getting back!
Is ADB working? You can't enter the bootloader?
Some have had success leaving the battery out for a while, and then putting it back in and turning it on
Not saying it WILL work, just a suggestion
And I'll try not to scare you, but it is actually is possible that you fried your eMMC chip pulling your battery Seems to have happened a few times on Desire S and Incredible S :/

Thanks for that, I think the latter is what happened, the phone just doesn't do anything. I think it is time to bin it and to get something else

Before you bin it, perhaps take it to HTC and tell them it has stopped working, and that it happened when you were charging (which is true)
If they can't turn it on, they can't see it is s-off
and will replace the motherboard
IMHO doing a battery pull at the wrong time is all you did mate, its HTC's fault for using faulty eMMC chips. Doing a battery pull is not voiding warranty as AFAIK
Is it under warranty? If it is, then its worth a try instead of binning a $300 phone with one fried chip
Had the Same issue gave it to hTC they Gave me any entire new Incredible s
Thanks guys, I will give this a go.
I do have the same problem now , its not under warranty , any other way to fix it :crying:
Same but different
Well I have the same issue but only slightly different. I can't access the bootloader nor the recovery mode. I don't know why. I'm currently using cyanogen 7.2. At first when I flashed it,everything was fine. Untill one day,my upper screen(status bar) can't seem to respond to my touches. Day after day it just got worst. Till one day,I my IncredibleS just left me a black screen but there were lights on the 4 buttons(home, back key etc.) I tried using the battery pulling method. Sometimes it works, sometime is doesn't. But even so,my bootloader still persist to show up. I'm a S-ON by the way. Any idea how do I solve this? And yes,my warranty has expired last may. :crying::crying:

[Q] power issue after installing Three Musketeers Total Senseless 4.1.1 'WTF Edition

Hi all,
i've recently installed the "Three Musketeers Total Senseless 4.1.1 'WTF Edition" rom without any issues
i followed everything stated in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1532108 and all seemed to be working fine.
However after 2 days i've noticed that when my phone goes into sleep mode, and i try to wake it up again it doesn't immediately do it?
i have to press the power button more then 10 times and then it randomly turns the screen on again, and goes to the lock screen.
Has anyone experienced this too? when the phone is on everything works fine, but after going to sleep mode the same issue again...
The power button of my phone isn't broken or so, as i recently got this phone new, and on my stock rom i didn't experienced this issue at all...

I expected it was a hardware failure until I saw your post.
