Problem About Bootloader unlocking - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So its my first time, got it in FastBoot AP Flash Mode (secure boot off)
Have latest drivers, and opened cmd in the Razri_Root_Windows folder and typed the code, it said "Could not get unlock code"
I Still havent download Android SDK..so yeah maybe thats it..

Yes you need either the Android SDK or the root zip that people are using. Have you unlocked any smartphone bootloader before?

Nope not yet. My first phone is a SAMSUNG Galaxy Ace Plus and it didnt needed unlocked bootloader.
BTW heres my screenshot of my build #.
If I flash a new firmware I might be able to get the code.

I don't think there is currently a way to do that. If you were to flash an unbranded firmware onto the phone would that allow you to unlock the bootloader (allowing installation of CWM)? I can't unlock my bootloader due to my PC being broken.

I'm waiting for a solution as well. it should not be that hard as they have a solution for the xperia s with a locked bootloader.
maybe some very wise and helpful dev can port cwm for us xperia t owners with locked bootloaders.

Flashing unbranded firmware will not allow you to unlock the bootloader if you currently cannot unlock it.
Well, no promises of any kind, but there is that one user which claims that after updating to 3.195 the bootloader status changed from non-unlockable to unlockable.
I have to stress out, I cannot confirm nor explain this and I do not propose that anybody tries this.
But we all know where this is going, right...? Sic...

Its safe to try, as long as you have a .ftf made from your original rom or are prepared to flash one the .303 .ftf's found in the all in one thread
I've flash one week later the 3.195 and my statue dont change.

For people with the lock bootloader cant you unlock it through the official Sony site? i thought Sony allows you to unlock bootloaders on their devices...

With the official updating or with a ftf file ?
i have a .303 ftf so i can try et do a updating et come back on the .303 with my ftf ? right ?

I also have this problem, the boot loader is locked and I need to install the recovery. Prompt really working bootloader unlock method, none of the methods I did not ride. Through the website Sony have an error occurs, full of requests to install the update file, it weighs 1.5 gigabytes. I do not have as much Internet traffic to download it.
Currenty is possible if you are both rooted and in FW 303. Try this.

So i flashes the official austrian firmware(hutschison) and if I enter adb reboot oem-unlock it goes to the bootloader but then shuts down itself. so i end at battery loading anim and BL is still locked anyone encountered the same problem ?

Yes, i got the same problem, the only diffrence is that i have flashed EUR OPEN rom. but mij bootloader is 232-10
at least i am not the only one.. Anyone with austrian firmware unlocked the bootloader ?

well, my provider is not hutchison but im also in austria and using euro open version which works without problems. there is no need to use the austrian firmware when you dont have hutchison

these days i'll probably try to flash various versions, with and without sim card, hope to get another bootloader to unlock it !

my experience to unlock it
first I flashed the official europe open firmware. I tried to unlock it and get the LG security denied error(official method)...(I did a clean install every time)
now I am on the official has/hutchison(austria) firmware. I tried to unlock too. with the official procedure I got just the LG logo and then the battery charging logo.
then I tried to unlock it with this commands: "adb reboot-bootloader"....I just got the Lg logo. then I typed: "fastboot oem unlock"...my pc wanted to install the fastboot driver. I installed it. I tried it again. "adb reboot-bootloader"---}Lg logo---} then I typed: "fastboot oem unlock"......on the display I had the option to unlock the bootloader or not. I choose to unlock it. at the cmd was to see: bootloader is unlock now. after that I removed the usb-cable and the battery.
but in the hidden menu stays: it is locked
if I repeat this commands I get the message that it is already unlocked...
I mailed to the carrier (3drei) if there any official way to unlock it because I read that it depends on the carrier if it is unlockable or not. they wrote my back that the give no support for this I should contact LG....
by the way. for me is the europe open firmware better than the hutchison austria firmware...
I can't even install a ROM to get the EUR-XXX version. I flash the open eur version but it still says 232-10. With or without sim card... What can we do?
Unbranded official Slovak distribution ... same 232-10 cant unlock tried fastboot unlock but in hidden menu still "locked"
we dont have many options
1. LG releases a update where they fix this sh**
2. we find a way to flash to EUR-XXX
3. A dev implements a bootloader bypass.
4.If we have the encrypting script of the .dz files we could flash it via lg flash tool i think

I have a 232-10 as well, only a month old or so its unbranded bought from DiTech (big PC and PC Part suppler) in Vienna.
And I'm also eagerly waiting for an unlock.
This is so unfair policy from "Life's Good" ....

Did you also get the ASWSWH (232-10) model?
or the ADEUWH?
I'm asking because according to geizhalts and the sticker on the box (printed by ditech) it should be an ADEUWH.
So i guess they got an other charge in and did not notice the change.

the output on cmd happens before the phone gets really unlocked.. I dont now why they implemented fastboot so ?

Sorry to take this a bit off topic, but what is the output you guys get from this command:
adb shell cat /sys/firmware/fuse/odm_reserved
I get this:
0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000008000000000
Some people are speculating that having that result means that you have flashed the beta and made your bootloader unlockable.
I have never flashed the beta and have a 268-01 branded phone. I'd like to prove that hypothesis wrong.

I never flashed any beta just now (today) the original 20a for my phone with the officual LG tool
when I type

[Q] Cant get the bootloader unlocked, please help :)

I need helpeth! I cant unlock the bootloader, nothing works.
First I cant get the status options from *#*#7378423#*#* , it just says the number isnt working. I got that menu when I started this a couple of days ago but I cant get them now so I cant check if my phone is unlockable.
Second, the command for unlocking the boatloader with the command: "fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY" doesnt work, it says: "FAILED (remote: Command not allowed)" .
Third; I downloaded latest flashtool and tried that but it feels kinda scary since the threads says it only works for x10, x8, x10 mini/pro.
´So what shall I do at this time?? What to do`?

From a unrooted state due to root can change status sometimes

How do I check this out? With this command: *#*#7378423#*#* ? That one has only worked once, when I rooted the phone, otherwise it doesnt.
And the phone is rooted I think, otherwise the TA backup wouldnt have worked I guess

Sounds to me like you bought a locked carrier device, which can't be unlocked.

I must agree... If it's Carrier locked phone, you can't unlock your bootloader either vía flashtools or fastboot.
Sorry, but only sony's service centers can do it...

Indeed you can. As long as they are stock based and planned for locked bootloader...
The only issue IMO is that you can't flash other kernel than mentioned STOCK based ones

If you finally unlock the bootloader, you will surelly face OTA issues, and probably a soft brick. You will have to use Emma from Sony. It's meant for unlocked.devices...
But first of all, make a BACKUP of your ta partition, or you Will loose your drm Keys.

Simple.. As long as you don't tick DATA, your firmware should be upgraded instead of deleted...
You can preserve root If you don't tick kernel also (i think)

You've got a locked, un-unlockable bootloader. This is what you get when you send the unlock command in fastboot in this scenario. The oem unlock command is not allowed. This comes from experience of my C6603 on Three UK. Go check the Xperia bounty thread for a ton of information. ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287897 ) Doomlord is working on a workaround for this when he doesn't have other dev work to do.
Upshot of this is that you can't flash kernels that aren't signed by Sony. This rules out CM and anything using CM as a base. It is very annoying but at present only stock based roms are flashable.

Yeah I have understood that by now :/ I thought this phone was open as was my previous Android phones, even tho they where bought with other operators, not Three tho. I guess Three always locks their phones?

Ahhh...?rooting and unlocking bootloader sucked!

Did something happen?? I just switched over from my atrix hd it's been rooted and unlocked bootloader for over a year. Well my wife thought if I did the same to get atrix she could get more money out of it. Rooting and unlocking the bootloader on hers was one of the most time consuming unlock I've done. I had to use ubuntu and etc etc...wow did she get an update that made it so complicated from when i did mine??

AFAIK The Ubuntu Root method wasn't so bad though. After one or two tries it goes through easy.
The bootloader unlock was rather easy as well.
At least you managed to root & unlock it so it all worked out right? ?

@needleyepoke Myth Tools, which uses motopocalypse to unlock the bootloader and motochopper to root. Takes about a minute each. Or you can download each tool seperately

Is there a newer method for unlocking your bootloader? for system version 98.4.20? Because motoapacolypse will not unlock my bootloader and several pages claim it still works. I need a method compaitble with windows 7 and complete instructions please.

Mythtools/motoapacolypse didn't work? Did you install the drivers and put the mythtool files in the right directories

I just wanna install cyanogenmod i rooted and kept the stock rom cus i wanted to keep using smartactions but after having tons of problems i switched to juice defender ultimate and i see no reason to stay on stock firmware with its bad battery life and excessively high ram usage

Hey guys last days im started looking how unlock my c6602 and i cant find any way that work for me
I tried doomlord way and didnt worked what i did:
1-Got my bootloader key from sony
2-connected my phone in fastboot mode to my pc
3-opend command window in the place i installed fastboot drivers
4-typed: FASTBOOT.EXE -I 0X0FCE GETVAR VERSION then enter i got VERSION:0.5
5-typed:FASTBOOT.EXE -I 0X0FCE OEM UNLOCK 0X************
6-i got that error :invalit id (0x**************)
I checked the number many times and it was currect SO WHY???
I tried flashtool to unlock and i got that (failed remote: command did not success)
Is sevice menu says bootloader unlock allowed: yes
Is there any solution for that??

I said this to you when you asked in the bootloader unlock thread, but you didn't respond or acknowledge my reply.
The unlock key is case sensitive. Meaning that any letters that are upper case (capital letters) must be entered in upper case. So E must be entered as E, not e.
If you don't enter the unlock key exactly how they sent it to you, it will not work.
If it still won't work, maybe you entered your IMEI incorrectly when requesting the unlock key. Try requesting it again and double check the IMEI when you enter it into the form, as a key generated for the incorrect IMEI also will not work.

And also when i request me key i put my full IMEI and click ok and its says YOUR IMei is incurrect (try delete the last charecter) is thats may the problem?

Well, you're definitely doing something wrong. Both Flashtool and fastboot work for unlocking the bootloader for everyone else.
From your screenshot in the bootloader unlock thread, you were entering the key with all lower case characters, which was probably wrong if you're now entering some upper case characters. Enter it EXACTLY how it is in the email.
Anyway, good luck flashing any rom without root. You'll need root to install a recovery.

Now im downloading eXistenZ ultra v6.0.0 they sayed its rooted with dual recovery and i like it so much.:good: the download will finish after 13 HOUR my internet so slow 15kbs

Are you deliberately not reading what I'm telling you or something?
You'll need root to install a recovery to flash that rom. If you don't want to unlock your bootloader, you will need to downgrade to a 4.2.2 stock rom.

Part2:i tried to copy the key from my email to command window N didnt worked.
Part3:i need to downgrade to 4.2.2 root and install CWM then flash rom.:good::laugh:

I guess I'm having the same issue as when I was trying to unlock bootloader through flashtool I used the code from Sony website generated by my IMEI, I copied it Exactly as they have sent it and flashtools response was at first Fail and when I tried to do it second time it happened to work and said 'okay' but after turning my phone on it ended up in endless loop... I tried it on 4.3 and 4.2. The bootloader unlock allowed says yes.
