I've recently got my hands on an unlocked Sprint HTC One. I've done several searches to see if Sprint's version is compatible with TMO, as that's the carrier I want to use it on (I also wanted the black version which is why I went with Sprint). I'm able to have a steady signal connection while at home, however, I am unable to get any mobile data to connect. When I turn on mobile data, it simply says "disconnected", Furthermore, whenever I leave the house, my data connection would drop, and I would have to re-register my device under TMO. Is this behavior normal for an unlocked phone? Also, is there a solution for the phone not able to recieve any mobile data?

I turned my phone off before boarding a plane, and then when i turned it back on it had lost all the data connection info. Now it doesnt see the phone network either. I am using an unlocked phone on t-mobile in the US...It has worked fine for the last 6 months....
I tried re-entering the data connection info, but i still down get either a connection to tmobile gsm or edge or gprs. When i go to manually select networks, it only sees att, which of course i cant connect to, cause of my sim card being tmobile.
Any thoughts ?

Is it possible that the phobe can lose the unlock ? Would only seeing ATT be the a symptom if this were the case ?

3 weeks ago my 3G connection stopped transferring data.
I can get a 3G signal, make calls in and out on it, but if I want to use any app that requires a net connection, or the phone browser, I have to put it on the 2G/Edge network.
I've..
Uninstalled all my apps. Reset my phone to state it was in when bought new. Pulled the battery numerous times. REbooted the phone. Used my phone side by side on someone on same carrier, T-Mobile, while their 3G connection would work, mine would not. I finally waited for Android 2.2 update, and my 3G data capabilities on this phone are still not working.
Time to call HTC for service?
Best way to get questions answered is to post them in the proper Q/A section. This area is for news and tips only.
Harvey you tried using the web browser? What does it say?

Hello all,
a while back i had a tilt and found a program to turn off internet data services on the phone so i could still use it as a phone, sms, mms device, and not get charged for internet usage on the phone.
i'm now looking at the tilt2 from at&t and wondering if the same is available. i don't want to pay for internet service on the phone through att. i just want to use the phone for phone, sms, and mms. if i want to use the internet, i'll just turn on the wifi on the phone.
is the program still out there to turn off the att internet data services?
thanks
Call AT&T and turn data service off
It is easier than that. Let me tell you what I did. When my AT&T account, like most accounts, was created it was set up with the data server turned on in a pay -as-you-use-it mode. I never got charge for the data service because I never used it. I called AT&T and had them explicitly turn off all data services. So if I try to use the data service I now get a no network error. (I use WIFI for data service.) Now I can use any smartphone I want that uses AT&T frequencies without incurring any data charges. I did this for all our lines. I have the Tilt 2 and love it. No extra data charges on my bill. My phone picture on AT&T's web page automatically changed to the Tilt 2, so AT&T obviously knows I have one. My son got an iPhone. The same for him for his AT&T webpage phone picture.
So I recently had to flash a new radio to work with Cyanogen 6, I've flashed Radios before so I know the ropes, but now I have connection and a full signal but it isn't receiving data, it's only displaying the up arrow when I'm trying to access the internet. I'm kinda worried.
Mine did the same thing and I'm on T-mo US. Check the APN you probably need to edit it.
I'll keep it short. I have rooted Sprint Note 5. Currently with TWRP recovery and MOAR rom. I called Sprint to "Unlock" the phone for me (wasn't financed, I purchased it outright on Swappa...previous owner apparently used it on Ting) and the unlock went through. Now, I'm not sure whether the unlock I did was a domestic unlock or just an unlock to use the phone overseas. My fault for not finding out.
Fast forward. I went over to MetroPCS yesterday with my Sprint Note 5. The sim card was accepted and I called MetroPCS so that they can register the IMEI of the phone in their database. I quickly tested data and sent a text but didn't bother making a phone call. Long story short for the life of me I cannot get a phone call to go through.
I've tried two different MetroPCS APN settings and messed with Network settings (LTE/CDMA and Automatic) The best I can do is get data working and text messaging but not phone calls. I went into MetroPCS today to see if one of the morons could see if they could do something with it. The guy went into Network Mode and changed it to the GSM/whatever option (don't have the phone in front of me ATM) and sure enough the phone was able to make a phone call and the data worked!
However, around 30 minutes later I try to use data to update an app in the PlayStore and I'm notified that I have no connection. I go back and forth between Network settings and I'm back to square one where I can only get data and messaging. The GSM Network Mode no longer shows a signal.
Soooooooo, if anyone can get me through this mess I will give $20 for your time and energy! I'm about to just flash stock Sprint firmware and sell this piece of crap on Ebay and get different phone for MetroPCS. This thread is my last attempt at finding a resolution!
@SantinoInc, have you checked with Sprint if they have locked the device?
What bands does Metro use for 4G/LTE and is it compatible with a Sprint-based device?
Try using 2G/3G mode instead of the 4G/LTE mode.
What rom are you using?
