Hello,
How can I completely disable the BLN? Some kind of command in the terminal emulator? Someone might have an idea? I dont need them, at night just burning my eyes..
Thanks.
If you have CM7 or miui the buttons go off after three seconds of being pressed, I don't know how to do it with other roms, let me know if you find out!

Thanks, that was a great info, because i wanna start using MIUI rom I hope someone, somehow can say something about that BLN turn off thing.
Disable it in CWM. If you are on a custom kernel that is...

Hi. I'm new to here.
I have rooted my Gnote, and i dont know wether it is a full root or what.
For maximizing my battery, i underclocked my Gnote by setting max CPU freq to 800 MHz or 1 GHz using SetCPU.
But.. according to the CPU history using No-Frills app, it written there it is still clocked to 1400 Mhz and 1200 MHz sometimes.
Is this a rom problem? Or kernel ?
Btw i'm using stock and SpeedMod k3-3 kernel.

sometimes setcpu seems to not wanna start after a reboot so I really recommend you start the app and see everything is well in the app and see from there that your cpu frequency does not exceed the selected value. Otherwise I recommend using voltage control. I'm using it on speed mod and all is good for me.
Cheers.

Open super user and double check that its been granted permission. If so open your file manager and make sure you can access the data folder in root and set rw priveledges, make sure you have full root.

oops! sorry I didn't read carefully..you are on stock kernel..
GingerDX Overclock Module (x8oc.ko v004) give in the gdx thread should work for you..
I think you can't change the frequency of cpu
Sorry I don't know much about stock kernel
I think you should ask this question on GDx thread
1. Download DX's x8oc.ko (search for it)
2. Push the module in /system/lib/modules
3. Edit hw_config and add the following lines: insmod /system/lib/modules/x8oc.ko # x8oc.ko
4. Download a cpu manager app (i use setcpu)
5. Reboot.
Now run your cpu manager app, grant it root, and set you oc settings.

Only flashing modules for stock in the post of GDX is the download link, along with the ROM
Do not forget to wipe Dalvik cache and cache partition

You can try. But DON'T tick "set on boot" immediately check if it's stable first. My phone crashes above 800 tho. But if yours doesn't then it's your choice.
Sent from my X8 using xda premium
just use freq 720+ and 800- below
it's stable
I normally use 748mhz, any higher my phone reboots after while or even straight away

just dl the x8oc.ko module and push it to /system/lib/modules. then add "insmod /system/lib/modules/x8oc.ko" in hw_config and reboot.

try root explorer. there are some free apps on the market that would let you do that. the zip didn't work for me either. had to use that method to enable oc.

Hi all!
I've been trying to find the way of changing the governor's config and searched all this forum for help and I didn't find it..
So here I am.. Someone can please tell me how can I do it?
Thank you

Download SetCPU, CPU Master or any similar App out of Play Store. But don't use No Frills, it's not fully compatible with the i.

just now i asked the same and was recomended rom toolbox and its very good lots of other options too.
To quote myself, from my infiniROM thread:

To switch to smartassV2 with sio, you can install this zip from recovery: View attachment 1872551 (if you want to experiment with other governors and schedulers, you can edit the init.d script inside the zip). The following zip will allow you to revert back to the default from recovery, in case things go horribly wrong: View attachment 1872552

The above solution is good if you want to set a permanent setting, or if you do not mind rebooting your phone whenever you change cpu governor and io scheduler. If you want to experiment without rebooting though, I highly recommend the free Voltage Control app; once you do not need it anymore, freeze or uninstall it, and use the init.d script instead.
Hello guys
I am again reverting to stock 2.3.6 in few days so wanna ask you one thing that
Which is the best script for stock rom on ace
1 fly on mod
2 crossbreeder
3 adrenaline engine
4 pure performance engine
4 supercharger
Will i have to flash some other kernel to use some of them like supercharger on stock
Please suggest only one option cos i have tried combinations of these on cm 10.1 and phone was half dead
Thanks in advance
All of them require a custom kernel. Supercharger just requires root for script manager to run. Try pure performances x, it works great.
Sent from my GT-S5830 using xda premium
i'd use fly on or crossbreeder.
btw what combinations did you flashed? some are working really fine together lik fly on with supercharger or crossbreeder. you just have to delete some files from fly on before flashing the next

Ya. Deleting some files n then flashing the next script would do but I have not tried it. Happy with the current going. I don't seem to remember what combinations I tried in the past.

For me Fly-On mod is working fine on CM 10.1. I didn't get sooo much boost of performance (I'm using also overclock and seeder). Also Fly-On has uninstaller and a check function. The only thing I don't like about this script is the rng script. So I just deactivated rng from script and using Seeder instead.

The seeder & the script do the same job. If you use the script for entropy, use seeder but only to monitor the free entropy.

I'll get in troubles if I use rng and Seedere because are the same thing. Fly-On is a good script because gives you better performance without sacifice stability. Also has a terminal line to uninstall it and works fine on any rom and any android version. Use smartassv2 or H3 governor to get buttery smoothness and good battery backup
Just use fly on & enable rngd using terminal emulator
