In all of my photos there is a RED halation (halo) in the center of the photos !
any one having the same problem ?
besides I'm not really satisfied with the photos , specially the ones in low light
I think the camera does not work perfect !!!
Any Idea ???
It's a hardware fault. I'm pretty sure it's in the lens , every Optimus 4x has a purplish reddish circle in the center. Its in the Samsung galaxies too

Hello,i ran into this problem,i was using CM almost the entire time i had lg optimus 2x,but now after #170 update or so i noticed that camera really drops to about 10 fps when not in day light. Any1 experiencing this problem? I would like to know which ROM has the best camera support?
Thank you
Had same issue ... same on miui from 10.14 and up ... good framerate is only on stock mods and cm #160 and down and miui 10.8 ...

This is due to compensation. You trade in FPS for a better image.
The libcamera.so is responsible and has been changed on the 5th Octobre.
See here: https://github.com/koush/proprietary_vendor_lge/commits/gingerbread?path%5B%5D=p990&path%5B%5D=proprietary&path%5B%5D=lib&path%5B%5D=libcamera.so
I think you can just replace it. Just download the old one from the link above.
Though this might introduce other problems like not working skype.
Mate , how to replace that ?

Hello, I have a problem in my camera.
In all the photos show a black spot, someone knows how to help remove it?
Already cleaned, but it does not, check out this video to better understand the problem: http://gustavoluppi.com/video/lgp990.mp4
Better if you post some image samples

Is this fault in the picture or a problem when your phone trys to display them. Can you view them without problems for e.g. on your PC?

Camera Resolution
i getting lot of grains even in flash
(SOLVED) can close 3D
I dont know if its applicable with this version of the optimuos but the lg camera ap was posted in the g2x forums try searching there.
I am very dissapointed with O4X stock camera. Hard to focus especially in night /low light condition (without flash)
Why LG only provide 2 mode for focusing, and those mode works almost the same way?
Manual focusing by tapping on screen doesn`t help improve quality.
They should add more focusing mode like macro etc.

You have the white 4x? I have the black one and you don't notice that black space. Also the latest software improves camera focus quite a lot. Still bad on close up shots but the app cameramx is fixing that close up focus issue quite nicely. Also latest update improves battery. That's the major improvements I can think off. Yes screen is nice. I think it beats the s3 screen and is closely to the hox screen.

yeah, i have the white one.. i figure that the black spot was not to bee seen on the black version. the screen is so impressive. the whole phone is. i think i didnt expect it because it is so cheap compared to the more expensive quad cores. couldnt be more happy
I honestly always thought that lg makes good phones. Even the 2x speed was a great piece of hardware the software was bad. LG made everything better on the 4x and the optimus g is great and also the nexus 4. Those are all lg and since lg has a bad reputation that makes their products cheaper but not less impressive. I didn't keep my s3 or hox. And sold them and got the 4x. The screen is better then the s3 and has not the burnin issue. And the hox has a way worse battery. The only thing is still no software update and no fully root. LG is not good in updating phones.

no doubt. The 4x is my first LG smartphone. i had many phones, ut this phone is so amazingly quick. i can do everything without to mutch lag. i have som problems in games? i dont know why. but i have some small lags. i tried gta3 for the first time on this phone today, and it frozed in the first mission. weard. but i hope we get unlocked bootloader soon, cause this phone with jellybean would be amazing. i remeber my galaxy s2 with jellybean rom was very fast, so i imagin this will bee too. not that it is slow now, but it never gets good enough i guess i contacted lg the other day, and they only said that the jelly bean is on its way. nothing about when or so.
As for gaming. Install if u r rooted something like setcpu set it to 1500 MHz without any lowest 1500 MHz as welland performance and games should be performing fine.
For jelly Bens is supposebly coming 1st quarter of 2013

Check the game on screen resolution again, makes a BIG difference
With ICS my photos end up with a pink/redish sphere in the middle of the photo.
With GB no!
I have view same problem on others phones (Sansung Note, Galaxy II), all have ICS!!
I think the problem is in google camera's code
Does anyone else experience this?
I experienced that also in cm10 camera but mine is purple color even on focus/out-of-focus
I think it's in the flash because i tried to take photos with and without flash

I have downgrade my phone to GB and the photo back to normal, i try to install GB camera on ICS but it's fail.
Of course it will fail we need to wait someone to modified cm10/ics camera
I think it's over exposure because of the flash
Sent from my LG-P990 using Tapatalk 2
It could be the heat from the CPU which is causing this.
No, i haven't any problems with gingerbread, it's a bug software!

I have the same issue, and I would agree with you, because the problem is evident with any of the 6 different camera apps I tried, not just a stock ICS camera. It looks like some OS component providing the sensor data to a camera app is buggy. I am not a developer, so I have no idea what part of code that would be, but to my understanding camera apps don't talk to hardware directly...
And, BTW, this issue has nothing to do with flash overexposure, as previously suggested, because it's clearly visible on photos taken without flash...
Edit: Forgot to add one thing that I find a bit weird... In my case, this "pink spot" is only visible on photos taken in average natural light (like on a cloudy day, i.e. not bright). However, if I take pictures in a bright sunlight, or under artificial lighting (incandescent or CFL), or with flash, they turn our great, with no such artefacts. Go figure...
I tried other phones with ics and seems to be a common problem in low light, does not happen with sunlight.
Should compare the code jni between gingerbread and ics, i think.
I'm a Java developer but i'm develop j2ee/flash web applications.
