I am trying to use the 16 digit unlock code from Mobile Unlocked but it doesn't work, not only that but the unlock process is going very strange on my phone. when I first put the SIM in it said "pin is incorrect wait for penalty timer". So I waited and then put in my code, but when I pressed to enter it a message flashed for a split second, to fast to read, and it reset the typing field to blank again. Then when I reset the phone it gave me the same "penalty timer" message. What is going on? Have I hard locked the phone, is it faulty?

So I tested the Tilt without a SIM card it booted up just fine and all, then I shut it down as per the enclosed instructions. I inserted the SIM card also as per instructions, and then the phone failed to turn on. So I was forced to soft reset the device (now after an hour of waiting) it is stuck at the AT&T screen. I tried a second reset about 10 minutes back and again stuck at the AT&T screen. Any idea whats wrong with the phone, I assumed that this should be a simple procedure of inserting the SIM, and restarting the phone. Since the enclosed instructions (with the phone) give me no answers, any idea what I should do now?
Thanks,
ERIC
make sure the sim is in, it won't hurt to charge it, and try a hard reset.

First of all is ATT your service provider? If not you'll have to unlock your phone before using.
For your issue...
Try taking out Sim card, and starting up your phone.
Once it starts, it's will load the setup wizard asking you to tap the screen: at this point do a hard reset (a hard reset is done by pushing the two soft keys (these keys are located to the left of the end button, and the right of the talk button with a "-" on them) at the same time and while holding these keys, push your stylus into the softreset hole and wait until your phone flashes and brings you to a white screen with instructions.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
After your phone resets, power down, reinsert your Sim card and it should be ok.
Post back with any Qs
Hiya,
So I've put a simple PIN on my device, I know exactly what the PIN is, however, when the device last booted up, there were lots of random keypresses (I'm guessing some software was trying to do something which kept interfering with the PIN entry screen) and it came up with a prompt saying please enter a1b2c3 as lots of failed attempts have occurred.
After giving up on this, I reset my device, the (software initiated) key presses were gone, however because of multiple failed attempts, when I enter the real PIN, the device wont accept or reject it, when I enter the PIN and press unlock, everything just stays the same.
Is there any way around this???
Hi all,
First of all, I would like to say that as a new user, I am not sure if this is the right forum to post this question at. If it is not, I would be happy to be redirected to an appropriate forum.
I have a Moto 5G plus phone. About 4 months ago, my power button has died. All attempts in fixing it have failed, so I ultimately downloaded an app called "Volume unlocker" that allowed me to lock/unlock the phone using the volume buttons. This allowed me to keep using the phone for the next 4 months without a problem.
4 months later, I encountered a new problem: when I try to unlock my phone, when I enter my (correct) password, the screen goes black for about 2 seconds, and then I am asked to enter my password again, in an infinite loop. Note that if I enter a wrong password, the phone says that the password is incorrect. This happened all of the sudden, without updating anything or installing a new app. When the phone is locked, I am able to do some stuff like using the camera, activating the torch, and using the Assistant (basically, all the stuff I can usually do without unlocking the phone). If I enter the assistant, and while I am at the assistant I am trying to unlock the phone, once I enter my (correct) password the phone says "System UI has stopped".
All the solutions I found online required either restarting the phone, doing anything that requires the power button, which as previously mentioned does not work, or having debugging mode on, which unfortunately is off and it doesn't seem like I am able to turn it on without unlocking the phone. So I am stuck locked and have no idea how to fix that.
At this point, I guess that any solution that would at least let me extract my personal data e.g. personal photos would be enough for now.
I have also talked with Motorala but they were not helpful at all.
Thank you very much!
Hello everyone,
today I updated my phone (security update from xiaomi) so i had to restart my phone.
After restart it asked me to insert my PIN instead of Print, so I wasnted to put it in as usual but the pin is just never correct.
IS there a way to go around this WITHOUT LOSING DATA if im the true owner with correct fingerprint, all accounts verified etc?
The phone is not rooted neither with custom recovery.
Method 1:
1. After typing wrong password continuously for 5 times, you will see a screen with message “Phone has been locked” with “Forgot Password” option at the bottom.
try that
