I'm in US Indiana I have the t-mobile 6606 Z no root.
I have flashed the German, French, Spain, and European roms with the flash tool and LTE will not work with them.
I made sure that the apn settings matched, lte preferred was checked but every time all I get is edge,3g and H+.
I did notice that the flash tool will always flash the hole ftf no matter what I checked to exclude.
I tried flashing the ftf with the t-mo baseband excluded but it always flashes it anyway.
I also noticed that my phone has a 12.8 mp camera so maybe the t-mo phones have some different hardware than the others?
Could anyone with a t-mobile phone US that has had any luck getting lte to work tell me how they did it?
You may do it again.
I am also on t-mobile Z and have LTE with stock t-mobile baseband.
You can download stock t-mobile ftf file and flash your Z with baseband only.
It should contain only 4 files, amss_fs_1.sin, amss_fs_2.sin, amss_fs_3.sin, loader.sin
It should work after you done flashing.

Would I have to pull out the baseband folder and flash it? because when I use the flash tool to flash just the baseband from the stock t-mo Rom with everything excluded but the baseband it still flashes the hole Rom. Just like when im on t-mo Rom and I flash the German Rom I exclude the baseband but it still flashes the hole German Rom. ??

You don't need to.
However, flashing baseband only takes few seconds, while flashing whole file will take more than a minute.
I did mine many times without a problem.

Like I said when I exclude all but baseband it still flashes the hole thing.
Probably be later tonight if I mess with it again.
Okay so I tried it again and it seems that it worked this time.thanks for the help everyone.

I have an Xperia TL I purchased and unlocked, and it works fine making calls on T-mobile, I changed the APN settings so MMS works fine, etc, but I recently noticed that the phone NEVER has 3G, it's always either on Edge or 4G, so do I need to change the baseband to pickup 3G on T-mobile ? I'm guessing maybe AT&T uses different frequencies for their 3G?
Also my wifes LT18i seems to never get 3G after ICS update either. Hers is factory unlocked.
Is it possible to call T-mobile and have them send the correct settings over the network ?
Thanks a bunch for any help!
Flash the European baseband. That enabled the correct frequencies.

So I have a LT30AT from At&t, which firmware I can flash to use it on the tmobile network ? will this "LT30p_9.1.A.0.492_Generic Italy(1265-1589).ftf" work ? Thanks

Sorry for the noob, I've been searching the forum and I assume that just flash the at&t phone with any of the European firmware and I should have the UMTS BC_4 band to work with the 1700 frequency (but without LTE). Is this correct or am I missing anything ? Thanks :fingers-crossed:
Yeah, you should be good to go with any European firmware. As long add it shows band 4 enabled. LTE also works, you just can't access settings from the normal network menu.

I think I did exclude baseband, been so long, can't remember . I think I got the 9.1.A.1.1.40 for my build
hmmm, interesting. I hope someone else can chime with more info on this

Do you still have the LTE bands LTE_BC4 and LTE_BC17?

This is what showing in my working bands:
GSM850,GSM900,GSM1800,GSM1900
UMTS_BC1, UMTS_BC2, UMTS_BC4, UMTS_BC5
LTE_BC2, LTE_BC4, LTE_BC5, LTE_BC17
Phone Software Version:
1262-6309_9.1.A.1.140
GENERIC - user
File System Version:
GLOBAL-HSPA_9.1.A.1.140
So my guess is you can always backup your current firmware and do the flash, see if it working for you, if not go back to whatever you have before and try again...

I downloaded .423 (4.2.2) version of Android for my C6602 device. I flashed it via flashtool. So I think my device will be C6602. I cannot access settings because of this error (process system not responding) and the device restarts in a 20-30 seconds.

I know you have already tried flashing with Flashtool but try following this guide
When you get to step 4 download the two files (Stock 4.2.2) from here
When you get to step 6 tick all three boxes under Wipe and leave all boxes under Exclude unchecked.

Well, first, you shouldn't start a new thread, this is development forum. Place your questions to related thread, rom - kernel - modem - recovery - etc, next time.
I see you are using touchwiz rom. Are you i9305 user for sure? It might be that you have wrong modem.
Couple of questions.
1) Phone model
2) Rom
3) Baseband

It doesn't matter you're from turkey. You must flash this way. Otherwise the situation is this like it's now, no network.
The reason for 'no network' is that because you didn't flash XXUFOA1 modem and default CSC, you have old JellyBean modem which doesn't work with KitKat Touchwiz roms.
So.. Flash that modem (XXUFOA1) and csc (ROM Default)
Then you'll have working network.

Alright. Thank you for the pic. Now I can see you indeed have kitkat modem installed. Sorry for making presumptions so quick.
I checked the rom thread and there was someone with same problem, http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-4-4-4-t3026347/post60493200#post60493200
But the solution was the same I suggested to you, flash latest modem (XXUFOA1) and csc (ROM Default).
Just make a nandroid backup before, so if it doesn't work you can always restore back.
And since your Rom version is 8, you could download v9 and update your rom at same time
I have asked this question in some rom threads, but it couldn't solve.
Since upgrading my xperia c5303 to lollipop rom, my mobile data is always missing, althought calling, messenger, wifi, bluetooth still work. I try many way: Clean flash; flash rom kernel, tangeringe kernel (sometime bootloop) before, after flashing rom; change APN, but nothing changed. But when i flash back to kitkat or jelly bean, mobile data work normally. Did i install lollipop rom correctly or someone can give me suggestion. Please help me ! Thank!

That's a bummer
There could be something messing with your ROM, but I am not sure.
If you use a very clean ROM, does the mobila data works?
What I meant by a very clean ROM is when you wiped system and data, use the default kernel that comes with it and you dont restore any apps at all. Just pure, barebone ROM.

I suggest you try to change a new simcard ( borrow your friend). its the easiest way to test the simcard error or rom error. I think it is the sim error. if it can't solve you can try AICP Rom with full wipe and you should use twrp. Goodluck to you.

Yes, I will test another SIM card, Thank for your advice.
My APN needs to be refreshed every few weeks, and often after a ROM update. My carrier has a number I can dial to fetch a new one automatically in about 45 seconds. On my US Cellular network the code is *228 (then press send or dial)
They told me to reboot immediately afterwards but I rarely have to.

I've already read a bunch of forums on this and finally got into the ims settings but they all say "false" Is there any way with or without root to enable the settings. If I do have to root it, what do I do after to activate these features? The phone has the T-Mobile boot animation and receives T-Mobile software updates. I'm using it on MetroPCS. If I switched to T-Mobile would the features work then? My last phone was a locked T-Mobile S8 and that worked fine on MetroPCS with all the features. Thank you.

When using T-mobile firmware with tmo service everything will say true. If you look in software info it should say tmb/tmb/tmb.

It says tmb/xaa/att. What does that mean?

I'm guessing the phone started on AT&T firmware, and was not correctly moved to TMB. XAA means U1 fw (att + tmb are U). You're using Frankenstein software, suppose that's part of the problem. If you flash the Tmobile fw with your SIM inserted it should fix that.

Also I'm my baseband version is N950USQS5CRK1. Will it allow me to flash the TMobile firmware that matches that version? Thank you for your help.

This was originally an ATT device. That's what the 3rd CSC Code tells you. It can't be changed, but it also doesn't affect anything.
My guess is someone flashed this to the N960U1 firmware, and then just flashed the T-Mobile CSC file. Probably to get back RCS texting or Video calling. But it left you with Frankenstein firmware.
Just flash a full T-Mobile firmware through ODIN. Use the CSC_OYN file, not the HOME_CSC file. Flash all five files. It will force a factory reset, but should get you back on the full T-Mobile firmware.
If it goes right, you'll end up with TMB/TMB/ATT. which is what I also have.

Thanks a lot! For some reason it wasn't working right on MetroPCS but I put a TMobile sim and now all the features work and it says tmb/tmb/att. So I guess I don't have to flash the firmware
