KeyBoard Problem

Could anyone pass me the apk for the Incredible S Touch Input? My soft keyboard gives me problems when I'm on portrait mode. The P, 0 in the keyboard and backspace key in the phone dialer stopped working a while ago.
I don't think it's a hardware problem as the P + 0 keys are located differently from the backspace.
Hoping reinstalling the apk would help

This happens sometimes... just lock and unlock again... it should work...

install this htc keyboard mod. works better than the stock one.

However the keyboard is located in /system/app and you can ask anyone using sense rom to pull that out using titanium backup.

try a keyboard mod first.

Thanks guys, it its starting to look like a bigger problem than I initially thought. Downloaded a paint app, tested if I could paint the whole screen. Realised it stopped about 1/5 before the end of the screen on the right side. Did the same test on my wifes incredible s and realised it went all the way. Strange because it does sense my touch on other apps.
Was really hoping I wouldnt have to do a warranty claim, because of having to s on and all, but looks like I don't have much of a choice. But if you guys having any ideas do let me know

I would advise smart keyboard pro from the market, its not free, but has a trial, and its amazing

Or try swiftkeyX, the best keyboard (imho)

thanks guys,but realised its not a keyboard problem. Just restored a backup of my origional rom and realised its got the same problem. Gotta go for a s-on and warranty claim now.
Actually strange after i restored, it informed me there was a system update which i downloaded and installed, waiting to see what its all about

Thanks deeroll, but I think the fact that 1/5 of my screen dosen't respond to a drawing tool indicates it's probably a bigger problem than the keyboard file.
I restored my phones original rom last night, was hoping the problem would go away, but still there. So chances are it could be a hardware problem.
Thank God I was able to find the original receipt and warranty card.
Just need to S-On my phone again and then I can go ahead and make it HTC's problem.

Just wanted to give an update on my problem. I went through the s on process successfully and reverted to the original Rom that came with the phone and was s on. Noticed the problem was still there so I thought I was sure to need a warranty claim.
The phone prompted me for a software update, which I allowed. Next thing you know it works fine.
Just wondering if anyone has any idea how this fixed it? Wondering what the system update would have had that all the other roms I flashed didn't.

if you have. Specific problem from their instructions let me know and I'll help the best I am able,not really a pro when it comes to android stuff, just follow the instructions I find online

in first i'am sorry because i'm not very good in english so i will do some mistake and i'll find some difficult to explain my problem
so i explain my problem
my phone do something alone
he click in lot of place of the screen , he try to descend the notification bar
i tried to solve the problem and i did theses solutions
1 install the antivirus and i scan no virus in my phone and the proble not solved
2 i use an other rom (install with xrevory) problem not solved
3 i use the flash tool to use the official rom and the problem not solved again
please if you have some idea help me

um...phone is not a "he" but a "it".
it got that problem too.. it will subsidize after some time. it is hardware problem. just try to drop the phone on a bouncy surface from a small height (approx 10 cm) with the power button towards the surface (drop it vertically downwards). after some drops the problem will go away... something must have moved the digitizer. you just need to reposition it.
Eh..this is not a troll post. try it yourself. it works

did you charge the phone using non-original charger! the digitizer goes crazy and it gone after you remove the charger, i don't know what the main problem

try the above suggestions. btw, is your digitizer synaptics? that sometimes happen to me. just have to insmod dx's module.

[Q] Strange touch screen problem

I bought recently one galaxy s3 mini with defect from ebay. The defect is weird, because it don´t allow me to press the number 7 8 and 9 (it enters the above or the ones down in the keypad. What I find really odd is that when the keyboard pop-out (browser) i manage to enter all the letters I want in that particular place where it should not recognize touch.
(BTW, When I dial*#0*# and use the touch test it don´t recognize touch in the 6th square in all 3 rows, i never see it say pass).
Is there any way of putting the android with the level of accuracy and precision of the keyboard for all the time and screens?

sometimes wiping cache and factory reset will help :good:

Well, the first thing I did was a full wipe. I´ve already flashed different ROM with ODIN, so that won´t help (unfortunately). I manage to dial, I simply have to turn my phone and I´m able to use it... And when a button of confirmation appear in that area also do that or use the rotation locker app to force Landscape.
But I´m sure there must be a way to put all the touching with the accuracy and precision of the keyboard... The difficult is to find it.

Which rom? Can you explain better?

is our original samsung rom. I do not remember what version. the software was not anything done. everything works perfect only as there is no backlight screen

So, it's better to go where you replace it & talk to the seller. Are you sure you don't change any option (remember that people do crazy stuff in the last night of the year:laugh:).

[Q] Note 4 after Root not calibrated anymore

Hi XDA Forum,
I have a problem with my Note 4. After i Rooted the phone my touchscreen doesn't work anymore. It started when i restart the phone and i couldn't type my code for the sim. With the pen it works fortunately but not with the finger touch. If i am in an App the touchscreens works sometimes correct sometimes not. But in the screenmode it has a deviation of half a centimeter. I've tried anything, also completely back to the initial factory settings but nothing helps. Is there anyone who can help me?
