Bad WiFi thetering

Did some one now how to fix WiFi thetering that it dont stop thetering when Display is off? I am using makay rom 1.5.9. Thx to Kasper_h.

Wifi help

When I'm at or near Starbucks or McDonald's my wifi automatically connects to their router, how can I stop that from happening other than turning my wifi off.

Settings / Wi-Fi then long press and hold the one you don't want to auto connect to and select forget.

Settings, WiFi, Advanced, make sure never Auto Turn on WiFi is checked.

WiFi on off

I'm sure it's simple but how can I leave my WiFi on but have it sleep when screen is off.

Got to Settings>Wi-Fi>Advanced and you'll find the option for keep wi-fi on during sleep, this can be set for always, only when plugged in or never.
I you select never then make sure that sleep mode is on in Settings>Power otherwise it will just use a data connection instead.

[Q] my HTC turn to airplane mode and i can't turn it off

my HTS turned to airplane mode and i can't turn it OFF again,
HELP PLEASE..

What do u mean it won't turn off. So if you go into settings and go to turn it off nothing happens?

yes,
it write "turning on..." and nothing happen..

Obviously you've tried rebooting the phone? If it's still not working well you will probably have to do a factory reset

Why does my wifi keep notifying me when notification is shut off?

I have the settings shut off for notification, but it keeps notifying me.
Any ideas?

Which notification do you mean? Have you looked in Wi-Fi > Menu, Advanced > Network Notification?

Ya. Anything regarding notification is turned off.
I'm rooted on 3.05.651.6 stock rom.

In WiFi Settings, goto Advanced, and turn off "Scanning always available"...should solve your issue.

This is a snap of my settings.
Not sure why it keeps happening. I find my Wi-Fi turns itself on whenever it senses a hotspot even though my settings are as they are.
