Yes, it gets better score than Z in Tutu record. If you keep it in low temperature, it can be even better score. The score will drop for overheat.

I wanted to know if stock rom and cm makes a difference.

My score ; 20800.
Before upgrade antutu 4.0 21800.

Going for the record!
For Antutu 3.3.2
I got 20999 in my first benchmark on new C5502 ZR.
Later, I got 21942.
If the battery temp (and hence the phone) is cool, benchmarks are better.
Like many other phones, ZR throttles CPU clock to 1026 Mhz when battery temp goes above 40 C:silly:.

haha! then run antutu while deeping it in icy water!!

i only get 16000 something.less than z

After updating to 10.3.1.A.2.67 JB 4.2.2 something strange is happening.
My 2D score in Antutu 3.3.2 on JB 4.1 was always ~1600 even when battery temps were 42-43 C and CPU throttled.
Now in 4.2.2 the 2D score always comes out to be 800-1100 even when the battery temp is only 30-32 C.
Similarly, average 3D benchmark score also reduced to 5100 from over 6000(always) in JB 4.1.
Can anyone else please run the benchmark and post the 2D and 3D score for JB 4.2.2 and 10.3.1.A.2.67 firmware?
I locked the GPU clock to 400 mhz(max) during the benchmark but still got lower scores

Latest score of mine got around 20k, still in JB 4.1.2
Previously around 21k, but I think it was normal due to daily usage so far

i get only 19.5k on antutu, but perhaps all those dropbox/skype/whatsapp/copy crap running in the back ground is taking my score down? also 16GB class 4 sd card. might not be helping?
also on .67

Thanks man.
Running the benchmark after a cold start gives me 1600 on 2D but later on heating up it drops to ~800. Maybe SONY decided to throttle the GPU too at high temps. In 4.1 only the CPU throttled.
I will try resetting the phone and report any changes.

I've more than 20300 every time :good:

[Q] Question about low benchmark scores.

Just for the fun of it I asked a friend to benchmark our devices , both 4Xs.We used geekbench 2 .My friend got a score of 1160 and I got 1214.
The thing is when i searched in google , I saw that the 4X had achieved a score of 1661.I tried with various apps to set the cpus at max frequency and with performance governor , but nothing changed.Still over 30% down from the max score shown online.
Is it possible ,the better battery efficiency we got in V10h, to be originated from downgrading the performance of the cpu ?
What do you think ?
Hey! Not sure about question in general, sorry. But my Antutu benchmark did go sown by over a thousand when I upgraded to v10h. I did start a thread on it, had a few responses from similar. Search forums for v10h and Antutu. You may be on to something. Sorry couldn't be of more help.

Ι'm not worried about this matter at all , but it was a big suprise to see such big difference.A friend of mine who has a xiaomi M2 scored 2070 with his s4 krait cpu.Almost twice as much.It makes you wonder...
Thats a pretty big difference, I'm scoring about 1600 on geekbench.
Maybe ur having a faulty device?
i dont think so .On quadrant i get over 5200 score and on antutu over 14000.
Many of us in a 4X forum , we get scores in antutu from 13900 - 14200 so there arent big differences between them.
What rom version do you use ?

Xperia z Antutu varying benchmark scores

Antutu benchmarks score gets reduced after installing the latest update from Sony.
i have run the benchmark soon after unboxing the device.. and it gave me a score of 20707..
and there was an update from Sony which after installing for some reason locks the processor speed when its heated up.. when i run the benchmarks now it gives me a score of 16080 with a processor speed of 1.2 Ghz while the processors actual speed is 1.5 Ghz.
even i did a factory reset and tried running the benchmarks.. but still the same results in 16k-17 window..
is any one else facing this issue after installing the update
Isn't it affected by the numbers if apps you have on your phone? And it's always better to do a restart and run the bench mark right after before running any other apps.
And btw, those numbers means nothing. Don't get hooked onto those apps, it doesn't mean your phone is any slower than others.

Yes, those are just numbers .. but still i was puzzled if it was happening after installing the update.... otherwise the phone is fine. except for the known heating problem :cyclops:

But the fact that Antutu is showing he has a 1.2 Ghz processor, for me is a reason to worry. Even if the numbers are lower, it should show 1.5Ghz.
So, maybe there is some overheating problem on his phone.
Antutu has recently been updated - refer the comments on the Play Store. Seems other people with different phones getting high scores before the update and then lower scores post update.
I think this is the solution to the problem...... Mind you I just ran Antutu and got 20656

When the XZ heats up, the processor throttles down. That's why it shows you the 1.2Ghz.

AnTuTu is kinda generalization of hardware accessibility and performance
So i think it almost depend on Kernel, after that update all kernels updated to Feb. kernel (a kernel with different date)
and Sony said will update xperia Z to 4.2.2 with 3.6 (*nix) kernel
and it can increase performance and higher AnTuTu benchmark
:good:

As far as I am concerned, I think these are all crap in reality. Because you can run these benchmarks over and over again and keep getting different results, even after disabling things like autosync etc.
In theory the phone should run benchmarks faster when it is colder, but when I ran these tests they were much worse.
My phone didn't change much after updates for bench mark scores.
Phones do have a thermo throttling of the CPU to stay within the SAFE temperature ranges, so the 1.2GHz will most likely have something to do with this.

Yes, indeed the benchmark programs depend on many factors.. i had factory restored the Rom from Sony Pc companion, and again the first time i run, it shows me 20k number.. and then it gradually decreases when i run again. i wonder if its the same with other phones which have the same processor.

partly true.. but it the difference is way too much with others scores then points to a problem in the device...

Don't think so, every device I have used has done the same thing, find it impossible to believe that it is a problem device. The problem is most likely to do with the way that a phone operates, if the memory does a garbage collection event while you are doing a test, is going to throw a ridiculous result

My Optimus G would score over 17,500 on 4.1.2, unlocked, non-rooted. I've read somewhere that Google hasn't calibrated the N4 right. The screen, for example, is the same IPS+ (4.7 inches, 768 x 1280) that's used on the Optimus G, yet the Optimus G produces a better output owing to a better calibration. I've used the Optimus G, so I can say for certain it's got a better display than the N4. But, benchmarks don't mean much. The OS is very smooth, I've experienced no lag whatsoever, and that's all that matters to me.
How is this score special? my (stock, rooted) N4 scores the same on current 4.2.2
The Optimus G does indeed have a nicer screen yet a far more bloated UI (Ram would be running at 1gb with no apps running compared to about 500mb with tons running on my N4)
Owned both, like parts of both!

Still, it ran pretty smoothly, aside from the occasional, minor hiccup. But I do agree with you on RAM usage. I've got the same applications installed on my N4, and I've got a good 1.5 gigs free.

Exactly my best score on rooted stock 4.2.2 was over 17900.
I got 24351 (antutu) with Franco Kernel , Performance Governor , Overclocked to 1.7 Ghz , Increased the thermal throttle threshold to 90 C for the duration of the test , closed all apps.
With a decent GPU overclock , some more CPU overclock , couple of i/o tweaks from me , i'm pretty sure i would get something close to 27000-28000.
Which is actually more than Galaxy S4's scores.
It overheats though , you wouldn't wanna use it like that all the time.

[Q] Mini Performance

Hey, i think i have a big problem.
Im using a new ROM (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2622069) and i changed my Max CPU freq to 729Mhz and Min freq. to 122Mhz using ONDEMAND. So i decided to run a benchmark test using Quadrant Standard Edition and i got around 800 points i was kinda shocked because i saw many screenshots from other Mini Users with 2000+ points using an old ROM in this post -> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437030.
I dont know what i have done to get so low score, i only have facebook and skype installed and greenify. I think my phone is faster then before but with this Benchmark Score i think my phone is in a pretty bad condition
Any suggestion?

Well, what you're running is a Jelly Bean, which is NOT officially supported by Galaxy Mini's hardware.
Also, if you think your phone is already fast, then DON'T believe benchmark. I never choose benchmark for testing phone's smoothness, instead I use the ROM around 1 week, then see how does it responds. If it's faster, then I would say the ROM is good.

Antutu 55k 5.1.1? Did Antutu change scoring?

So I was playing on 3c toolbox for kicks and did an Antutu test after some tweaks and came up with this 555214, I thought Sony z3c was in the 45k range? This can't be right, did Antutu change things up in the way it scores because I did get an update and then had to download some 3d thing???
Anyway on slim 4.1 rom.
Who gives a **** about synthetic benchmarks.
Hi, i'm on 6.0.1 575 and also i get 55700 on lasted antutu version.
Edit: i'm on stock ... no preroot, no slim, stock cus De. locked bootloader.

Maybe it's the Antutu version, fluffi444 mentions a long lasting bug in Antutu?
