It looks to me that you want to get away from the sweet and come closer to music.
You suggest Lassi or ladoo.I strongly support (do-re-mi-fa-sol-) LA-SI-DO which should be music to your ears and should satisfy every party

Yup!
It will probably be Lemon Drop or something like that.
If they thought Key lime pie wasn't mainstream enough why would they think this is? Good to be proud of your nation and heritage but this most likely will never happen. It's not going to be named after an Indian desert just because he's Indian.

Guys did you hear about android 2.4 for Tab? Is this true? Share your knowledge guys. Thanks...
Sent from my GT-P1000 using XDA App
There is no 2.4 android version announced. The next version is Ice cream sandwich, which will probably have another number, like Android 4. (2.x is smartphone only (at least in google's mind), 3.x is tab only, 4 or another number will be for smartphone/tab merge.)
The next gingerbread version is 2.3.4 already released. Nothing is announced by samsung for a new firmware release yet.
Wont happen until a dev from here does it..

the unifying version of android is ice-cream sandwich which has the designation 3.1

3.1 is the latest update to Honeycomb, the tablet-only OS. It's already out apparently. The "unifying" OS update Ice Cream Sandwich was always rumoured to be 2.4, though it could be 4.0 for all we know (or care). Agree though, this thread should be moved to Q/A.

@OP We probably wont see 2.3.4 for our Tabs unless Tech merges it into his CM7 port. I doubt we'll get any more major updates from Samsung any time soon, or at all.

Cm7 is 2.3.4
I also doubt anymore updates.
I allways say I think samsungs stance on the 7 inch tab is: ' take this horribly written adaptation of gingerbread and be happy some of you got any update.. Honeycomb? You want sweet ass new HC? HA! Tell ya what. Buy our new sweet ass device. We promise to adapt HC just as horribly as FROYO and GINGERBREAD. Oh, and have XDA have to step in and clean up after us. Plus we promise to rip apart the tabs gutts, and only give some countries full hardware. Piss off.'

Android 4.2 will be released to AOSP and begin OTA rollout to current devices when the Nexus 4 ships or shortly thereafter.

Thanks to you both for a bit of polite sanity. I think it's great when folks get excited, some may ask obvious, and sometimes slightly pointless questions. But to become the master of the universe, and declare a thread should be shut down, is plain childish.
The only lesson worth learning if you are an ANDROID user is. Buy a NEXUS device. At least then you have a reasonably good chance of getting a timely update. So spare a thought for the folks who don't own a NEXUS device. LG Optimus 2X users (The world's first dual-core phone), are still running Ginger Bread. yikes.
Have fun. Anil

Has anyone gotten confirmation on when the 3G model will be released? Also, will it be released in stores or just Play Store?
I've read at many sites that it should be out on 11/13, but those sites also said the end of October a month ago. I also read a T-Mobile internal document that said there will be a 'T-Mobile SIM included' version, but that's going to be available only on Play Store. Another site said it will only be available with an AT&T SIM.
So.....a lot of conflicting information. I hope to pick up one a Sams Club on 11/13, but am not sure if that's going to happen.

Trying to get the name out there. This typically strikes me as a desperation move, but in this case Google is already dominating the phone OS market, so it's a curious choice at this point.

The promotion of winning GPlay Store Credit or Nexus 7 is pretty awesome.
I'm pretty pretty sure it's just Google trolling. More so provided that they have such a large index if what's happening on the internet, they would have seen the buzz about KLP everywhere, and especially the hard assumption of next Android version to be 5.0. So they're just playing a card against us.
No way will Google announce the name of Android release so much before it's launched.
If there's something this does suggest, it is that the release of next Android version, whatever it is, must be close. Close...close...close. Ah! October 5th. Android's 5th birthday on October 5th, with the release of Nexus 5 and Android 5.0 would be good.
Google must be putting our minds in a different direction while they prepare for 5.0
Just my over thinking though xD
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Ummm, and now Nestle is assisting Google in trolling by putting it on their page as well? Don't think so. They are obviously in this together with quite a few promotions coming out of it which is why it was necessary to release the name early.
I am just glad I don't have to hear people call it Kandy Kane EVER again because of the stupid easter egg...

How/why this?!...
Oher sources claim that it comes with 4.4.0 and will get update to 4.4.1 (with 50 or 100GB Google Drive offer) straight after activation!

This.
Ships with 4.4 will get update prompt first boot asking to upgrade to 4.4.1.

There's a distinctive smell hanging around this. I call bulls**t. Give us a reliable source and I'll happily believe you to some degree.
Think this is just OP looking for some attention..

I work for a big media company which has got more than 15 apps in Play Store. Most of the apps are in Top recommendations from Play Store.
Our business works closely with Google and we had issues when 4.3 was released. So Google gave us a heads up. Some people from our office are going to Google as well for testing on new device and Android OS.
I cant go into names.
If people don't like it i would suggest don't reply.

Thank you, maybe you should have mentioned this in the original post? there have been way too many attention seekers on this forum with completely unfounded claims. As it goes with this information I believe you.

Thank you for sharing this information. Honestly we do care and are very greatful for it, its just we needed that little bit more info on the source, as you may have seen its very easy for people to just claim they know things and post them publically and with tensions running so high as we are very happy about the device I feel many of us jumped to conclusions.
Yea, there have been many rumours about the release in the past which makes us difficult to believe on any1

Take a chill pill, please.
My suggestion, dont use safe terms like:
"I work for a big media company"
"I cant go into names"
"If people don't like it i would suggest don't reply"
It sounds very fishy and not very convincing
FYI, there are haters everywhere
