well, technically, you unzip the CWM backup on your PC, which would give you a "backup folder" (usually yyyy-mm-dd.hh.mm.ss), then you put this (adb push) into /data/media/clockworkmod/backup/yyyy-mm-dd.hh.mm.ss, and then choose RESTORE in CWM recovery.
EDIT: if you are going from the updated firmware 2.xx back to a 1.xx ROM, your touchscreen drivers won't work, and you'll need to use an OTG cable + mouse to be able to make it work!!

[Help] My o2x doenst boot, keep rebooting

Well, my o2x keeps rebooting, and stucking on boot.. i tryied flash v10b with nvflash and v20l with smartflash and its keep rebooting.. the phone doenst boot, i cant get into home screen.. anyone knows what can be? how i can fix it?
Thx
Have you come from a custom ROM before flashing v10b? If you have then you will probably have to use Paul obriens backtoext3 which is just flashed in cwm.
If its not then that's as far as my helpfulness can go...

i was on modaco, then i restore back the original backup with cwm.
after i tryied install v20l, phone doesnt boot, then i tryied v10b and phone doesnt boot..
now i cant install CWM since the android system doesnt up.. any other idea? maybe a backtoext3 without cwm?
You should still be able to get cwm even in a boot loop. Keep holding power and volume down until you get to it and then flash backtoext3.
Was it boot looping after you restored your original. If it was then you might only be able to nv flash an original rom.
If it wasn't then you should be able to get to recovery and flash backtoext3

Install CWM via NVFLash. Follow the first 3 steps of this guide to install it.

No. He said he smartflashed 20L, which means CWM has been overwritten with the stock recovery. All this will achieve is a wipe.

Yes, it does. I suggested you install CWM so you can restore a backup or flash a new one.
Both of the flashing procedures (NVFlash, Smartflash) should have restored your phone to a working state no matter what, so either your phone is faulty, or your USB-connection is flaky, lets hope its the last. (I assume you have read how, and most importantly, how not to connect USB when flashing.)
So run back2ext3, install a ROM and see if that works.

Primarily it was a hint to go search and read about how to flash before you flash. But since you ask:
Do not connect to USB via a hub, always connect directly to the computer. When something doesn't work, try a different cable. Do not use an overclocked computer to flash. etc. etc. etc.

Try to flash a rom or restore a backup via CWM. Doing the same thing over and over is not likely to help.
Download one of these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1328656
Put it on your sdcard.
Install CWM via NVFLash. (If not already there.)
Start CWM.
Wipe/Factory reset.
Flash it.

[Q] Can I create full nandroid + stock recovery from stock phone? ROGERS

Hi Guys,
I currently have two HTC ONE's on Rogers. One is totally stock, and the other is unlocked with ARHD. What I'm looking to do is return the unlocked phone to totally stock without an RUU since it doesn't exist for Rogers yet... I want to do this not only for myself, but a good handfull of other users on here who want a stock Rogers nandroid + recovery to return to stock.
My logic says that on the stock phone, i should
1. Unlock the boot loader
2. Soft boot to CWM recovery
3. Take a full nandroid
4. use ADB to backup the stock recovery
5. restore it all on the unlocked device
Problem is, I really don't know how to do steps 4-5 technically. I can unlock and softboot into cwm, but how do i backup the stock recovery from there? and then how do i flash it to my ARHD phone etc? I've searched and searched and searched and really can't find all of the answers and i don't want to piece too many things together and screw it up.
Need some help, Thanks!
In the stock phone, after flash of CWM, do a nandroid backup, this is saved on sd.
You can mount the sd with CWM copy the backup to pc and after restore it in the phone with ARHD
I would suggest you read mike1986 guide

I've read Mike's guide, its good - but doesn't touch on backing up a stock recovery from a stock phone. Doing a nandroid backup doesn't backup factory recovery either, as far as I know.

I thought CWM didn't backup stock recovery partition? The whole goal of this is to have a copy of the original Rogers recovery that is unavailable to us at the moment.

[Q] USB not working, just charging. Bricked or damaged by wiping system or data?

Hello guys, you're the only hope to fix this, I'm sure! I'm facing a very annoying issue, (I'm having an old BL) mine USB cable is not working properly (just charges the phone, and nothing more happens, all drivers are up - to-date. Strange bug, happened after few days while being on CM 10.1. I don't know if that is related but while using CM10.1 I used battery calibration app , tried to solve that long charging issue D) after using cm10.1 I have advance-wiped not only cache, dalvik, but also system, data , etc..then moved to 7.2 stable, still got no USB functions, computer just does not see my phone(tried 3 computers using windows 7 32/64 bit,Nvflash is also not seeing the device.) I wonder if someone could help me to fix that mess. Really would like to flash a stock rom, but nothing except charging is working. I forgot to mention that while being on Cm10.1 I used this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1800935 to mount storage, also some google mounting apps with no luck. CWM also does not mount mass storage. What could be wrong? Help will be appreciated ! :good:
If your cable is not working properly, only charge your phone, then there is no way to use nvflash, smartflash or cwm to copy rom to your internal sdcard. What you can do is that you buy a new cable or borrow one from your friends or from someone. If you have external sdcard then use a cardreader to copy rom to your phone.

If it is the cable what is broken just simply change to another cable. If it is the usb port itself on your phone then use sdcard to copy rom to your phone. There is no other option

Oh okay okay I got it now.
You were on old bootloader right? If so then I am uploading a backup of gingerbread v20s.
Do you remember what version of rom did you have before you flashed cm? So We could match up the baseband and the rom.
Do you want to replace cwm recovery with stock recovery?
What version of cwm do you have? It is essential to know, because backup formats are differs between cwm versions

Yeah, Im on an old bootloader, because lots of roms use this BL. I flashed Gb V20 d or e, i don't know now, because these days I'm not at home. Tomorrow will be able to look at my computer and tell you the exact version. Probably its v20d.for baltic countries.now just need to backup it, remove Root, clockworkmod and take a phone to warranty. Its the only way to do it. Very change how these chips go out. Confusing . after all, very thank you for your help!
*Okay, I watched the version which was flashed previously CM, it was BIN_LGP990AT-00-V20c-BAL-XXX-MAR-16-2012-0. I'm uploading it to the dropbox, it will take time, because of the DSL upload speed (76 kb/s). Can I ask you to make a backup of this ROM, using CWM 6.0.3.1 with a root? Here's the link, it might be uploaded after 3 or more hours. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/64768144/BIN_LGP990AT-00-V20c-BAL-XXX-MAR-16-2012-0.zip very thank you if you can !

I am trying to install the BM____001 nandroid with CWM. I put the unzipped folder in the right location and cwm does see it. I tried flashing the straight zip and it fails. I try flashing through ROM Manager and it fails. I will re flash to get error codes for you.

You can forget about the rest of your attempts. CWM nandroids are not flashed. Just report back the error you got when you selected the folder to restore.

I thought you said CWM could see it? Was that a typo?
I'm guessing you're on a 4.2.2 ROM? CWM still thinks your sdcard is at /data/media not the new /data/media/0. Move the clockworkmod folder into /data/media and CWM should be able to see your backups.

Got it, and have restored with the CWM backup. Now once it boots, the touch screen does not work. Previously i was on GPe 4.3 and have since updated the firmware.
Downloaded the appropriate BM OTA from the RUU collection and tried to install it and it gives me CID missmatch. I changed from CID 1111111 back to BM___001 and it still gives me the same issue. So i pulled the firmware.zip from the OTA and flashed it via rebootRUU. It flashed sucessfully (both times) and restarted. Still the touch wont work.
I am at a loss with this thing.

[Q] How to backup stock recovery from my One?

Hi,
I had some trouble with updating my stock rom because of custom recovery, but now I got it managed. Now I want to backup my stock recovery, which is on my HTC One right now, before I install cwm again. How can I do that?
I found out, that you could remote boot cwm with fastboot (fastboot boot cmw.img) and finish a recovery over cwm, but remote booting seems not to work anymore. Are there any other ways to backup it either? It was such a pain in the ass getting the stock back, don't want to loose it anymore because of cwm.
Regards,
m00h

What's your mainversion? You can find plenty of stock recoveries here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2463387
I'm on 3.62.401.1 right now, the latest stock OTA. I'm not sure which recovery this is, that's why I would prefer to backup the one I have flashed right now.
