Hi, I am currently in ArHD 30.0 (with stock kernal ), if I flash a custom kernal, how can I go back to stock one? It seems that there aren't any stock kernal files.
Can I just reflash the ArHD?

Hi all,
Running ARHD 12.0 and installed the latest bullet proof kernel. Just wondering: if I were to reinstall ARHD without a data wipe would that restore the stock kernel?
If not, what is the latest stock kernel and where can I find it? I understand that there is an older stock kernel floating around that isn't as stable as the one out with the official 4.22.
Thanks as always,
Joel

No
reflashing ROM wont flash stock kernel
Stock kernel can only be flashed by running RUU or flashing OTA or FROM NANDROID BACKUP(made at the time when you had stock kernel)
If you didnt make nandroid before flashing bullet proof kernel then wait till 4.2.2 STOCK kernel "STARTS FLOATING AROUND"!!!
HIT THANKS IF I HELPED YOU

Incorrect. ARHD has a kernel in it; reflashing the rom WILL replace the kernel. OP can flash ARHD 12.0 without data wipe in recovery, or "fastboot flash boot boot.img" in bootloader after removing boot.img from the ARHD zip.
If you have a nandroid, all you would have to do is advance restore /boot partition.

Thanks! This is what I found, as well. I wrote down the bullet kernel ID info then dirty flashed ARHD and found that the kernel had indeed been returned to stock!
Thank you both for the information!

We need more info. What was on the phone before you flashed Pac Man? Also, did you flash anything else with it?

That's all. I just updated the rom. I followed the steps given in updating the rom. No, only the rom.
I think there's no problem in how I flashed the rom. Maybe the rom itself is the problem because after flashing back to stock Gingerbread, I rooted my phone, flashed a kernel with cwm, installed root, did full wipe and flashed the rom but still stuck on bootloop. Thanks for trying to help.

Coming from GB, you have to repartition, which means that you have to flash the ROM twice in order for it to boot.

Like I said, flash it twice in a row. Also don't forget the GApps if it's a AOSP ROM.

Thankz,By the way.. i have suggested that i could also flash pre rooted stock and den 201 kernel.. any ideas on that?
@ OP You have Q&A so quit PM me and ask all your questions here
The quick answer is yes - use your recovery to back up your rooted stock ROM. If you don't like CM simply return to your back up - it will still be rooted.
Alternatively, you have an unlocked bootloader - so you can flash Doomlord's kernel immediately after returning to stock (the kernel is insecure meaning you can flash a supersu zip in recovery to get root again).
Doomlord's latest kernels are decent and I can recommend Williams kernel too - as good as stock.

For some testing purposes I need to use the stock kernel. Is there any way I can flash stock kernel image without flashing the whole ROM? AFAIK the file boot.img under stock ROM is the stock kernel, so can I flash that via ADB? Currently on Faux's kernel.
Flash the system and boot

Use fast boot to flash it . Fastboot flash boot boot.img.
Just to let you know, I've flashed backups in recovery to do the same

Yeah, this did the job. Went back to stock kernel successfully, however the WiFi would never turn on after flashing, no idea why! Came back to Faux and WiFi is back

I am on full stock mate. It's all right though, the testings I was thinking of doing are done with stock kernel, and now I can stay on Faux's.
You have to flash the system.img too along with the boot.img . Remember this for future ref
I recently flashed the Franco kernel on my Nexus 6. I'm rooted running stock. I did not back up my stock kernel but would like to go back to it. How do I go about doing this? Thanks in advance.
2 ways..
1) find a stock ROM that can be flashed from Custom recovery
2) fastboot flash the boot.img from the factory images on the Google website.
Download https://onedrive.live.com/?cid=F1ED4BADFEE3FC02&id=F1ED4BADFEE3FC02!380 stock kernel and flash it in recovery.
Do note that the stock kernel is encryption enforced.
Thank you very much
