[Q] Need help! Galaxy Note does not boot anymore. [SOLVED]

My Galaxy note does not boot anymore. I can boot CWM but when I flash a ROM or format /system the device hangs.
Any help would be greatly appreciated..
Have you tried wipe cache from recovery?
And wat exact happened before error occured?
Thanks for your quick reply
I got stuck on the Samsung N7000 screen after a reboot. I'm running [ROM][04.04.12] imilka's AOSP ICS v08 [IMM76D/4.0.4]
Formating data/cache works but when you install a ROM it just sits on installing update. I've tried flashing multiple ROMS.
If I select unmount /system or format /system it hangs as well. Same happens when I try to restore my backup from yesterday. I can only boot CWM or download mode at the moment.
I've only had HTC phones before so I don't have any Samsung experience.
Which kernel you had ?
What exact error occurs, when you flashing ROM?
I was using the kernel that came with the ROM.
I was just doing a reboot after the device has been powered off for a few hours. Nothing special.
Whe I try to flash a ROM now it just hangs at installing system forever. My guess is that something has screwed up the system parttion because I'm unable to format it now using CWM.
Any other way to try repartition the device?
try using flash with PC Odin
here is stock ROM
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1424997
download N flash using PC odin, you can find installation guide in post#2
Trying it right now. Phone is in download mode. Odin reports:
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..

for about 5 minutes. Is it normal that it takes this long to start the connection?
It seems this is connection error
Try reinstalling driver on PC
connect device to dierct main board USB slot(rear side PC)
close kies/anti virus if running
Problem solved. Thanks a lot for your help!
Selecting 1 option at a time worked (maybe coincidence) Did PDA > Phone > CSC.
Phone boots
N7000XXLC1---------2.3.6-------2012 March----------N7000OXALC1-----------Open Europe----------------------------- Download (wipe)
now and I'll probably keep it that way untill Samsung released ICS.
Learned something about Samsung phones and Odin today. Used to do everything with ADB and fastboot with HTC devices.
Thanks again!!

you won't be able to restore data from gb to cm7, not system data nor app data, so you need to reflash gb and start again
Here's my kit to do that quickly and easily, unzip and read.txt

Hi!
I downloaded your kit. I am having the same trouble as ranejitendra.
I followed the Samsung_Galaxy_S:_Full_Update_Guide. But when it was time to reboot after installing CM9 i just went into a bootloop. When I tried to restore my backup it says it is successfully restored but when it reboots it just stops at the Samsung logo screen.
When I use the kit I firstly let it be in the logo screen and Odin recognizes it becuase the ID:COM turns yellow and says 0:[COM10]
Secondly I tried to start it in recovery mode. Same result. In downloadmode it is not recognized.
when I hit start this comes:

Tried that a number of times with the same result. It just stays in Samsung bootscreen (without triangle) and Odin says <ID:0/010> SetupConnection..
And nothing happens...
Thanks for the tip though.

Try with CWM 6.0.3.2 and then update to CWM 6.0.4.5 via CWM option Install from zip. This 6.0.3.3b2 file have problems after migrating goo.im hosts and don't use it.

Do you have the "CWM 6.0.3.2" ? Where can I get it?
=====
btw I was able to get 6.0.4.5 by flashing clockworkmod-5.0.2.8.tar.md5 first using Odin then installing it as a zip
But 6.0.4.5 is useless for me because whenever I try flashing the rom that I want
I get error: can't mount storage/sdcard0
and If I try flashing the rom from the clockworkmod-5.0.2.8.tar.md5 it doesn't go through idk why

Thank you for your help
I still have a problem tho I tried this one and got the same error
All I want now is a recovery that I can use to flash a CM10.1 ROM on s6500D
I promised my cousin to do it for him when I saw how easy the tutorial was
I can't find anyone else so you'll have to help me
You can use cm10.1 with cwm 6.0.3.3
Try to flash it again on other windows pc, but make sure that you have installed ,,Samsung USB Drivers for mobile phones,, (google it)
If it fails, install stock rom, and try again. Good Luck
Sent from my GT-S6500D using xda app-developers app and cm10.1
i have the same problem , i fixed it by trying :
" cwm-6.0.3.2-jena-build-2.tar "
and i solved this problem
but something is wrong with it , i can't mount sdcard , keep telling me : E: can't mount /sdcard/
Note : I Have an galaxy mini 2 gt s6500d
but at least i can moun phone internal storage so i can get my data
peace ...
I have the same problem... Odin gives the Md5 error.
All other files of TheWhisp work, except for that stable version which is what I want/need!
Can anybody please upload a working copy of 6.0.3.3-b2 ?
Thanks in advance!

[SOLVED] Soft bricked i9000 - already tried several solutions, what now?

Hello everyone,
It seems I managed to soft-brick my i9000 today. I was checking out the list of firmware available here and chose the Gingerbread 2.3.6 MultiCSC ROM for Europe. I also wanted to re-partition the device and I used the s1_odin_20100803 file during the installation process.
With the Odin v1.82 version provided in the topic, I rebooted the phone in the Download mode and it was quickly recognized by Odin. I put each file in place and started the flashing process, and I received the following messages:
<ID:0/008> Added!!
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..

I get the soft brick image when I turn on the phone, and now I have several details that might give you an easier time when providing solutions:
The phone still boots in Download mode and it gets warm while it's connected, so it should also charge.
The phone is still seen by Odin when I connect it in Download mode.
I already had the required USB drivers installed and I have also installed the Nexus S ones after the brick (I've read somewhere they could help).
I tried the OneClick UnBrick tool and I get the "Failed" message.
I tried flashing the s1_odin_20100512.pit file on its own, as I've seen in an unbricking guide here, with no results.
The phone was rooted and it was running a custom ROM, above 4.0.0, although I am not sure at the moment what ROM was installed.
I used an original cable, and tried all the ports on my laptop (the only device I have available), running Windows 10 64-bit.
What should I try now? Thank you all for your help.
----------
Edit 17:39:
The phone started, and I have done the following in order to achieve this, although I am not sure about the fact that I've done the right things:
I decided to go with this guide and performed the steps listed there. First time, i left the "kernel" uncapitalized and the cmd returned the "Partition "kernel" does not exist in the specified PIT. Ending session... Releasing device interface..." message. I discovered that "KERNEL" might be a solution and decided to go with it. This time, the cmd returned the "ERROR: Protocol initialisation failed!" Releasing device interface..."
I took the battery off in order to get rid of the Download mode, and just put it back in. Then, I connected the phone via USB and the charging image appeared. Then, the phone booted normally. I'm still not convinced about what solved this.
