Hello
guys I am in real problem.I bought atrix hd few days ago and i was able to move apps 2 sd but than i flashed custom 4.3(carbon,pa)but there was no option to move app to sdcard any help.
Moving apps to SD doesn't work on this phone unless you use the script to switch your external SD to internal but that can cause issues if your SD card gets jarred.

That script only works for 4.1 and (I believe) 4.2, so Carbon won't work unless you use the 4.2 version.

Im so hopping for a fix for 4.3. This is a great tool to have specially if you are a game fan like me. My favorite games are over 1gig of space. Lol

I really don't think it matters if it goes to internal or external. could be your signal was a little wonky and you got a bad download. always a good idea to check the md5 against the source before you install it. easy enough to do through root explorer.
In relation to this thread i just want to ask how can i update into JB coming from Overcome rom, what is the best custom ROM so far for the P1000
Any success, djerk?
My Tab2 7.0 is a GT-P3113 also, (rooted) and I would like to install Jelly Bean. Hoping to find someone who installed a stable JB version on same. Were you attempting JB? Did you find a way?
Note: You need root access.
As you know, all big games are installed automatically in you internal SD (phone memory), I try a lot of apps (link2sd, etc) but it doesn't work, the solution: use this app developed by an XDA member:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1410262
It's very easy to use, the only trick it's that you have to maintain pressed the path field to browse your phone folders, I recommend that recreate the folder structure of your internal SD in your external SD, copy all the data files and create the binds.
I test this app in stock ICS. and stock JB 4.1.2.
This is too old and bugy
Use foldermount for better result

It work flawlessly to me and it's free, foldermount free version have the restriction of 3 binds.
Just curious as to why the SD card swap feature is not baked into any 4.2 ROMs?

Is it not advisable to install (or at least try to/force with 3rd party apps like AppMgr III) apps on SD card? I've read on cyanogenmod forums that Google doesn't support SD card manufacturers thus this feature has been removed from the latest android versions. I have a 32 gb class 10 microSD and I would rather use this one for most of my apps, since the (usable) internal memory of S III mini is only 4.65 GB. What do you guys think?

Work fine for me with cm11 even with gta sa. Try this trick (works for me): move the content to the external sd card with any root explorer, then pin in FM (foldermount).
Thanks, but what's the steps? What should i do first?

Ok. Move you folder game (Example: gta sa- For me is external sd card-android-obb-com.rockstargames.gtasa) for your ext sd card. Then on your internal sd card, create a blank folder named com.rockstargames.gtasa on android-obb. Then go to foldermount & follow the steps that you usually did to create a pair. But the game won't move cause you already did it manually, get it!?!. Then you just need to pin it as you do normally & play the game. I hope you understand this trick. It's working for me, enjoy & happy holidays

Hi all, so far I am a little disappointed in CyanogenMod for 10.1 for the nook HD. The main reason I rooted the nook was so I could save apps to my SD card (8gb internal doesn't cut it). Also I have been having problems with the tablet now getting stuck in a lock screen cycle. Does anyone know how to move apps to the SD card, or why I get stuck in the lock screen cycle?

Apps2sd is not supported in CM10.1 on the HD/HD+. But you can go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature and flash my SDswap zip for official CM10.1 and it will make it so you can have your media files on external SD by default. That will give you more room.
And the lock screen issue is probably the magnet in your case. There is a bug in CM10.1 where you must open the cover twice before the unlock will work.

Man that's disappointing. I have two users are can't fit all my apps in. Why does Cm10 not support apps2sd? I feel like that should be a standard thing.

No, CM10 or CM11 don't either. To get more room for apps, move some of your media files to external SD. That is why I suggested the swap. Media files and apps share the same limited space on emmc. And for the 8GB HD that can be tight.
And the reason apps2sd is not supported is the default sdcard (internal) is emulated and is actually a part of /data on internal. That is why it shares the same free space as apps. So it would not free any space to put apps on the emulated SD.

You have 5GB of apps installed? That's how much space you should have with no media files. You could have some big game apps that store their game data on the internal SD. Those count as media files and can be moved to external SD with the swap.

Looks like I have to be rooted to install your file. Is that true? I haven't rooted anything since, I think it was a Samsung Hero.

Well, then yes, you have to be running CM to install that file. But I have a version for stock that does not require you to be rooted. Go to my HD/HD+ CWM thread linked in my signature.
