Help Please

Hey guys,
I have the latest update 2.31.651.7 on my HTC Hero right now. For whatever reason when I try to install the 2.27.651.6 version I get 140 bootloader version error all the time. This is getting really annoying and I have spent countless days trying to figure this out but I got nowhere. I have already rooted the phone by universal androot. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Thanks to all of you in advance

Why are you wanting to go to .6? And if your rooted why are you sticking with the stock rom? Honestly man READ a ton before doing any of this. Even rooting.

I literally tried everything possible and I am pretty sure by now I have gone through all the links and threads here in xda. The reason I wanted to go back to 3.27.651.6 was so that I could load custom roms which dont seem to be possible with my current version because I keep getting the 140 error.

Uh........*cough*....ahem. Yeah. Get it fixed?

so does anyone have any advice on what to do? Since getting the new version and the update I seem to be unable to load custom roms anymore.

It seems like you were rooted and accepted the over the air update. If that's the case then you may just have lost root and need to reroot you phone again. Try the one click root app in themes and apps section.
Root/Hack-Mod-Always*

I believe we are getting lost in translation so to speak, let's try for a little more information.
Have you unlocked your boot loader?
Have you rooted your device?
Have put a custom kernel on your device? If so which?
Have you put custom firmware on your device? If so which?
When you say your phone is buggy, that is very vague. What exactly are the issues your experiencing? Is it rebooting, or is it not making to the boot animation and starting at all? Or is this more of a lag issue, feels sluggish and certain applications force close or cause the phone to restart. Have you had issues with the device prior to flashing, if you have flashed a custom firmware already?
With a little more information I'm sure there are a lot of people on the forums that are able to help, but without a little bit of detail as to whats going on the best anyone can say is the standard tech support response: Did you turn the device off and back on again. And I assume that is not the answer you are looking for.

yes I have is Nameless Rom v7.3
yes I have a hard core at 800MHz
I mean such as logs: twitching, brakes, very long time thinking ...
it happened a month ago, I thought, and did not bother about it, and now I do not like it.

You tried flashing ruu? I also had this problem I solved it with ruu but for ruu to work I had to relock the boot loader! You just have to connect your phone in bootloader mode open adb and type fastboot oem lock. Then just install latest ruu!

Honestly, my device won't run the 806 Kernel, and has lots of trouble running the 767 Kernel, it seems some Desire C devices were made to a higher quality than others, looks like I got a Friday Phone!
Did you have it running successfully on the 806 Kernel previously?
On my device the 722 runs smoother than the 600, so I would try flashing that or the 600 stock Kernel and see if that resolves the issues.

Data Connection Issue

Hi
I rooted my phone 2 days back and installed Trickdroid ROM, since then i am facing issues with data connection... This is what happens:
It works for a while and then just stops receiving data.. the sending data arrow blinks (with HSPDA) but the receiving doesn't. If i turn the data off and on again.. it again works for a while.
To troubleshoot: I flashed the ROM again (full wipe, even at first it was full wipe); nothing changed.> I deleted my APN settings and manually added new settings (VODAFONE), still the same... works for a while and stops.
Then i installed Ordroid ROM... same issue.. tried everything.
This was working perfectly when i got my device and was stock.
i can't say that it's 4.2.2 or anything cause my friends did the same and they don't have issues.
Now need some expert advice as to what went wrong.
p.s.: WiFi works perfectly.

You can try updating the radio firmware as this may be the problem but this may or may not 100% fix it as your case seems isolated (not many other complaints). May just be your carrier upgrading stuff also.

You can try full wiping again. It might fix your data problem.

about halfway down youll find them I just updated to the .24 fw and have seen a slight performance (ATT)
I dont know if you need s-off or not since i am s-off to update these through recovery but even with s-off i couldn't update through adb

I've done my share of full wipes to try to fix this problem... 5 to be exact.. and I am on my 3rd ROM

Which one should i be choosing?? I am on vodafone india. Also can i just flash through CWM? i am not soff.

I'd try the .24 just since its the newest. I don't know if it will work with S-On since I am s-off. You can give it a try but you can easily set s-off if you need to with revolution. I renamed the zip download to radio.zip and flashed it with twrp so cwm should also work. Just check to make sure theres no problem with putting it on your phone which there should be none and this may fix it since it relates straight to the radio.

Flashed the radio. 24. Let's see results now.

I've got the same issues.... I flash the Rom ARHD 10.1 then back to 9.4 be cause i don't like the 4.2.2 sense rom.
I try to change the radio with the 3 .zip avalaible and nothing change. I'll try to full wipe my one today, and do a factory reset..

Sorry its been a while was just wondering have you tried your stock image again to see if the problems goes away when flashed back to that.

Stuck after flashing RomAUR 7.0

Hi Guys, just manage to unlock bootloader xperia z earlier today..and followed the guide by doomlord, flash boot the below files in order.
1)Z_DooMLoRD_CF-Auto-Root-ported_FW-350.img
2)Z_DooMLoRD_insecure_FW-350.img
3)Z_DooMLoRD_AdvStkKernel_FW-434_v4.img
Phone start up fine and am able to find supersu in it and i guess that means the phone is already rooted. Saw an update from sony but couldnt get it installed.
Downloaded http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2167064 , did a install from zip . Everything seems fine till i reboot, it just keep rebooting to the SONY logo..and wouldn't start up. I can still enter CWM or bootloader....but it just refused to boot up regardless of how i try it.
Can someone advise on how to get it up and running again...been searching youtube video and threads..but cant seems to find any guide on how to restore it -_-:crying:

Given that this is the most common issue along with the fact there is a thread a day started asking how to restore I find it hard to believe such statements. Read the stickys!

Ok found the problem..i was on different rom build number...and didnt read clearly that certain specific rom is need before i should install rom.
Issue solved by flashing latest stock rom, before flashing rom aur again.

[Q] HTC One Mini Port

I tried the latest beta version of a HTC One Mini port by nlsolja123 yesterday. It seemed to have flashed with no problem, but then it doesn't go past the "One" screen. I would let him know that I tested it since he asked has anyone done so, but I'm unable to since I'm new. Has anyone else tried it besides me?

it is possible, that something is wrong it the startup or something. did you try both of the ones i uploaded or just the newest? im needing someone experienced to help get a logcat. and find the error

I just tried the second one. I was going to try the first version once I got a chance. However I saw that someone else already tried it and didn't have any success.

OK. At first I thought it was going to take a while to boot up because I've flashed ROMs/ports in the past that's done so. I wish I could help, but the only experience I have is flashing multiple ROMs on different phones. But there's one question I have though: when I flashed the port, it asked if I wanted to fix permissions to root it...are you supposed to fix it or decline? I did both options and came up with the same result.

In the development section, blafree64 has a Sense 5 ROM. Have you tried flashing it? The file is pretty big and took a while to download, but when it eventually finished downloading I tried to flash it. However, my phone just hung on the Facebook logo.
