Hi, i have galaxy tab:
PDA: XWJMG
PHONE: XXJMA
Now i started ODIN 1.7 and selected p1000-mck-r3-ext4-cwm.tar in PDA. I didnt select Re-Partition and did not tick anything and did not select PIT file. Now when i connect it says 'added' and when i click on start it goes through the process and says "failed' in the end. Now my tab shows yellow triangle on it. Help
Do you by any chance have locked bootloaders? Anyway as long as the computer recognizes your tab you can fix it. Just use search.

I dont know about bootloader, its an untouched piece. Please tell me how to fix this tab... :-(
Look at the stickyes in the gsm tab development. Just download a rom that doesn't contain bootloaders and flash it via odin. Again you can find such roms in the development section. Read read and read again and you will be able to fix your tab. One question, why did you flash your tab in the first place?

Download this firmware http://files.deodexed.com/ModADroid-Galaxy-Tablet/Rotohammer/JME/
Then goto http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=932082 & read the bit where it says if your tab does not boot...
Hope this helps
Mark
You need to dload the P1 hidden pit & full J4 version fw
Is it maybe because the rom you selected says cwm? Isn't that supposed to be flashed in clockwork mod?
Thanks guys for all your help, i flashed pit to my phone via ODIN and piece is alive and working now and gave the tab back to my friend. Now just need to know for the future i have ODIN v1.31 and P1_EUR.pit. I selected pit and P1000JPJJ2 on PDA. Now just need to know before flashing do i need to select repartition?
As i read through the tutorial you only select repartition when you are flashing with the pit file!
If you are installing firmware, Flash the custom kernel that is linked on the same page as the overcome rom 2.13 without partition, Then hold vol up and power will put you in recovery mode, You can flash the rom through there useing the install zip from sdcard option but you must copy the custom rom onto the sd card first....
Regards
Mark

I had the same problem earlier and then i learned that bootloader for stock JM is signed so it show error ... completion (write) failed ... when you try to upgrade or install custom rom using Odin. I reverted back to resurrect my tab by Odin with pit (follow pit version) and check repartition, auto reboot. It works for me but not sure if it will work for others. Good luck.
Hello Everyone
I was using crom bean v 1.4.0. To try another rom I factory reset the phone, did wipe cache and dalvik cache and also format/system. After that the phone didnt boot but could enter recovery as well as download mode.
I tried flashing xxjw4 stock firmware but it enters recovery with errors and then in a boot loop. I have read a bit and I guess I need to flash a stock firmware (with 3 files). I am currently downloading xxjvu4 firmware but would prefer if there is some direct link for the same as the current link is quite slow.
Now when flashing a stock rom should I have repartition ticked or not. Some posts say is should be ticked while others say it can brick the phone!
I am not sure what to do and how to recover the phone.
Help would be appreciated.
Regards
Every other article on net says repartition should be ticked but this article says
DANGER: Re-Partition Option should be “UNTICKED” or else your phone may get bricked.

Is it safe to downgrade from crom bean to xxjvu gb 2.3.6? Read somewhere there can be bootloader issues? :-?

just use a downgrade kit or rescue kit from MY Android Collection , links below ..you only use repartition when using a PIT file, so no need to tick it IF you don't use one. At the same time MY Android solutions ( link below) , have solutions for your problem too

I read somewhere there can be issues because of jellybean using a different partition layout?

you are downgrading so nothing to worry about except you should save your important data , if any and also save you efs folder. just follow the guide at samfirmware or at RAMADs thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102881

Though I do not have any important data How would I save it (If I had) since the phone is in boot loop? And also what is in the efs folder and how to take a backup of it?
After reading many threads the procedure seems to be like. Open odin. Select corrosponding files for csc pda and modem. Select pit file and select repartition and start the program.
I believe there is nothing more to it or is it? And no issues about what kernel it is and what partition it is if this method is followed?
Thanks

yup, just flash it with Odin as you have noted . As for EFS read this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=26827676&postcount=4512"
you only need to read your phone WIKI to know everything about your phone
I was able to recover phone by flashing stock xxjvu. Thanks for the help.

To unbrick the soft-bricked Samsung Galaxy GT-I9000, I used Odin3 v3.07 and s1_odin_20100512.pit file. By mistake I checked Re-Partition and now I'm facing trouble.
1. I cannot boot the phone.
2. The phone does not start in recovery mode.
The only thing I can do with the phone is to stat it in downloading mode.
Could you please suggest me the solution of described problem?
there are many ways to fix that, if only you had used search Immma do my best to show you a few or how to search for them
1. the ezbase kit complete with info http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2095519 (the link is there somewhere)
2. download a stock firmware and write with odin without ticking repartition. select pit file but do not tick repartition
basically that should help your issue, considering you still have bootloader (and I assume odin still detects the phone) it should be fairly easy to fix.
cheers and good luck with it

repartition ticked in odin doesnt kill ur fone....if u have all the necessary file needed
pit, modem, CSC and PDA loaded, tick repartition and ur fone will b on da way to factory setting based ROM
unless u stop da process halfway
I am very familiar with the hole ODIN&Root&Flash system with the Samsung Galaxy devices and my friends see me with my super Galaxy S3 overmodified and think is just plain easy so a friend of mine tried to root his Galaxy S3 Mini L version (Central and South American version) and after I don't know what he did his device just didn't woke up and is just trapped in the Galaxy Bootscreen, not even entering into the boot amination.
I kinda had a suspicion that he flashed a rooted ROM that was for the international Mini (the one without a L) IDK if it changes something or if the versions of this smartphone have something different in the insides, but I already tried flashing the WIPE_I8190.zip with ODIN and it failed to pass the bootscreen, I also flashed the Stock Firmware from SamMobile that is for the Mexican Version which is this smartphone (IUSACELL) and it passed successfully but it is stuck again
Do someone have any idea of how to save this poor smartphone?!
Try this, flash in PDA in Odin. Hope it helps you.

Hello dears! i have the same problem, my samsung GT-I8190L stays in the samsung logo (bootloop),
I tried flashing PARAM_8190.zip, wipe_8190 an original firmware and custom firmware.. and nothing.. is staying in bootloop. I was told to install from odin the bootloader, pda, phone, csc and PIT file. Then I have a problem, where to find these files for my Samsung Galaxy Mini GT-I8190L s3?. thank you very much! :fingers-crossed:
Flash the PARAM in PDA in Odin only. Don't mess with the PIT file.

just download your stock firmware from here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-I8190L&pcode=0#firmware
put it in pda. no need for pit file. make sure re-partition is unchecked.
if you stuck in bootloop after finishing, flash param as pda.

I have some service firmware for i8190 and i8190N, but not for L. I'll see if I can find any..
So my phone is constantly bootloping and it seems I cant find any solution for this. I have tried to flash with stock firmaware, flash with Bootloop fixes found on this forum, with some other ROMs. But not any of these helped. And the worst part is, that when I go to Recovery I cant do anything because it proccess some code and after few seconds it reboots. Thats a big minus because I cant install any Kernel. Its just f. up. I also managed to do a hard reset with phone dial code, it didnt fix anything. Ive also tried to flash broodROM but when I load ROM inside Odin, Odin just crashes immediately.
1. How to fix Odin so it doesnt crash when I load broodROM?
2. Is it possible to flash a kernel with Odin for Gingerbread 2.3.5?
3. Any other solution?

Hi,
what do you mean by that? Usually I would select "One Package" with newer version of Odin, but with 1.85 there is no such an option and I only have one file, which is tar.md5... Are u trying to say that I should load that file under every section or what? Because I dont have PIT file.
Thanks
