This what for a charger u have. With the normal on 3 hours. More mAh faster charging. To much killing the lifetime of the battery. Me i use 850 mAh.

What about just with the usb?

Usb 2.0 charger of 500mA and Usb 3.0 charger of 900mA...

Divide 2370 (mAh) by the mAs of the charger to find the number of hours to charge (usb3 - 2370/900=2.6h)

Guys you cant fast charge Xperia SP it has protection circuit that cuts down extra power.
For example if you put it in a 1Ah charger it will charge in 3 hourse like it would with a 850 one .
Many phones (older ones) dont have that feature so their battery can be destroyed.

Normal it takes about 2 to 3 hours to fully charge my C5303. Pretty fast if I may say. My Galaxy S+ took 2 hours more

First time battery charging woes

Hello all,
So i bought the phone about 3 days ago.
When i took it home, i used it until the battery was around 30% and then i charged it. I charged it until 70% or so and took the phone out with me.
I came home and it was around 42% and charged it to about 80% and then used it until 25% and left it charging overnight. When i woke up , it was 100%, My question is, will this pattern of mine affect the battery because I didn't fully charge it for the first time?
No,don't worry.

Not at all.
It best to keep these batteries between 20% and 80% anyway.
Phil
Charge the battery whenever you want and at any level, don't worry.

Super long charging time...

So I've been trying to charge this sucker for more than 6 hrs, and it's going up 1% like every half hour of charging, this can not be normal.
I was in the phone doing minor things while charging but that can't be this bad can it?
Anyone have feedback to improve the charge time??

I was using the phone this morning while charging and in a little over an hour it had gone from 24% to 29%. So yeah, it's a slow charger
Sad to hear. I'm getting this phone next week. I was hoping it charged fast like my xperia ion, which takes 2 hours to charge
There must be something wrong with your charging port. Remove battery and sim card and then insert it back and try it should probably work or else please take it to HTC service center.

My bad dude... Lol... Forgot that its not s3 where you can remove battery but they didn't let me modify it immediately... Just reset your phone and try and if not then repair center.

Am I the only one whose been getting good charging? I was down to 30%, charged it back to 100% in about 4 hrs? What is everyone using to charge? I used the given charger and wall outlet.

Well s3 is an year old device with a smaller battery. Please refrain from talking about other phone's stuff here, should report your battery stats in the s3 forum.

^^^+10000^^^^ why do these forums have a bunch of S3 owners talking about their S3's? I understand the occasional comaprison between what you're using and what you want but this is not the same.
It's simple. They like to troll. Anyway, back on topic, I think Anandtech mentioned that the qualcomm fast charge was disabled possibly due to fears of reducing the lifespan of the battery itself. Therefore= longer life, but slow recharge.
well mine took 2-3 hours from 5 to 100
Here it is after literally being on charge for about 10 hrs!
Wtf

Count me in on the 5-100 in about 3hours group. Using the oem charger from an old EVO3D. Maybe you guys just got some duds. Try using different charger. Maybe you'll get lucky and its just the charger that's messed up and not the battery on the phone....
It has to be the charger that comes with the phone.... I charged mine from 10% to 100% in 3 hrs with a Gen andru .

I was using a Samsung charger and it took ages and would stay on 99% so tried my HTC one X charger and it was charging to100% after 2-3 hrs

well look at the usage, its literally always on while the phones trying to charge, youre either using it too heavily or somethings running heavily in the background

[Q] HELP please SIR

I have a galaxy note N7000.
From 1 week it is charging slow and when i use it while charging plugged in then it discharges.
I have Tried changing the ROM but nothing happens...I tried Changing The Kernal to the speed Mod Kernal but then also same problem.
I buyed a new battery but it is doing same.
I have no idea that whats going on. Plz Experts here can anyone help me ?
Buy a better charger. Look for apps that are sucking your battery dry... It is seldom the kernels fault.

Still says discharging dispite USB port replacement when plugged in.

So i realise that there are a bunch of different threads on this already however non of which bring up the fact that the phone is still discharging with the screen on when plugged in. I have replaced the usb flex board in the phone. Tried several different chargers and the battery seems find (not bloated)
Any ideas anyone ?

Does your phone get warm while charging? There might be some apps that go heavy an your CPU. How is the deep sleep rate on your phone when it is not charging?

Yes tried 4 different chargers all do the same thing. I can only put this down to the battery. I'll try another one and another USB flex board.
Ok tried new battery and new usb flex both genuine samsung parts and still says discharging when the screen is on. Could i have mucked up the root or something?

i get only 3 hours of SOT max and the real problem is that when the battery goes down to 15% it all of a sudden gives me prompt that battery is low and then in next 3 seconds it says battery is 1% and then mobile turns off and it does not even turn on again!!!
it has happened to me like 3 times now and just now i was replying to your comment on my phone and it happened. from 15% to literally no charge to even switch it on once! this is an serious issue, right?

If your phone and battry are original , the problem maybe calibration

the problem may be battery but it seems ok.
the real issue to me, seems the calibration. can u tell me how to do that? i have very bad experience in past with calibration apps, with my Tab S 8.4 so im afraid of that also. but still if it solves problem i can try/

now work with your phone untill phone turned off , now charge your phone 100%
Finished?
I think you changed your rom with lower than 100% battry , and this problem happend.
