can't remember what i did wrong.. i then reflashed again and still stuck at Samsung logo. Panic! i have bricked my phone. soft brick....but managed to get into recovery. do wipe data/factory and cache. flashed paranoid android v.2. reboot. now my phone running v2 paranoid android.
i'm so happy my phone survive!
what exactly wrong? pls advise?
rooted
paranoid android v.02
n7000DXLC1
dunno what kernel? stated here:
kernel 3.02.32-CM-g097c55fb [email protected]
(afraid to update to v3 while bug is still around:crying
I think after flashing gb you should go to recovery and wipe data, cache and dalvik then reboot.
yeah i did that. then flashed paranoid android v2. luckly it success and boot. you know what? i found that i'm missing something... i don't check the kernel i used before.. it AFFECTED kernel.. this is 1 lesson for me.. if i want to change to others ROM i should turn to old GB and flash a safe kernel then wipe all.
phew! god know how happy i am. almost brick my phone.
btw thanks for replied
Will im happy for you also.
Hello, I did a bad install of AOKP, and as a result can't get past the boot screen, sadly I forgot to make any backups or recoverys, and because I am using blackrose, there is no option to do a factory reset.
Is there anyway to get back to factory defaults?

What do you mean with factory defaults? On which rom do you want to end up? If you would like to go back to stock rom see this thread.
Do you have a working recovery? In that case you can flash any rom you want and your done. If not you can install any recovery via fastboot.
Hello,
I was using the Classic ROM v5 and decided to give the v6 a try. I didn't really like it, so I decided to get back to v5, that's when my problems started.
I did everything as usual, wipe data/cache/dalvik and flash rom, the problem is after I flashed the rom my phone it automatically reboots in recovery mod. I tried almost everything, I flashed the rom via Odin, I flashed a new kernel, I tried flashing via CWM (it gets stuck in installation). I don't really know what else to do
Some1?
Try flashing a stock Samsung Gingerbread rom like the N7000XXLC1. If it boots, do a full wipe in recovery. Then you have a clean slate to work with.

Ok, I feel like a retarded now LOL I tried flashing a stock ICS rom and it didn't work, didn't even think about the GB one. Thanks.
Unless you have a safe custom ICS kernel, you are risking bricking your Note with a full wipe. Without a custom, always wipe from GB. You are still booting into recovery so I you have not bricked the phone.

Yeah, I got that part covered (few months ago I bricked my phone, had to replace the board. I don't really know what happened, it just kept booting on recovery, but I got that fixed
Thanks.
Can someome please help me?
I have my dad's phone, I clearly installed a rom wrong or messed around with something that I shouldn't have. When I tried to factory reset everything, including cwm, I used recovery manager but I was only able to get back to the stock recovery. Now i'm stuck in a boot loop, with android debugging disabled. And I have tried factory resetting it with no luck
Use this guide.

Hi guys. Recently I have been using my phone and it hit 1% battery then went dead.
I charged it and rebooted it but it was stuck on the samsung logo.
I cleared my cache and dalvic but no luck ):
I also tried to Go back to GB stock and when I did it it works but keeps saying android something as crashed and every time I hit OK, It just popped up again.
I tried using Odin on my PC to go back to ICS but STILL stuck on the logo.
Made a NANDROID backup but still no luck...
Please help me!
are you on ICS now? if so, install philz kernel from recovery , reboot into recovery and perform a wipe data / factory reset. this should boot up the phone. if on GB, just go into recovery and do a factory reset

Hi, I did a factory reset. Although it was my final resort.
Do you think my phone will still be stuck when I recover from NANDROID?
if the nandroid has bad data then it will. but still worth a try as you can do a factory wipe to get booted again

Ok I will give it a try thank you I will report back if anything is gone wrong.
+1 thanks
this happened with me a month ago , i installed an app from store and it asked to reboot my device , when i did so , my note lagged on the shining samsung logo .
All what i did is flashing my note with original stock firmware using Odin , and the device still working perfectly till now ..
** my device version is ICS .
** most devices won't loss their data using this method , 'cuz it's like a software update ..
best of luck
