Sorry bumping an old thread but I too am looking for the Galaxy Player rom (yp-g70). I am willing to send a donation through PayPal if someone is able to send me a stock rom.
I was messing around and accidentally deleted something that completely messed up my tablet.

I have a Chinese ROM that will at least get you a mostly functional device. I used it on mine after getting stuck in a SAMSUNG screen reboot loop that I could not fix by Wiping DATA, CACHE and restoring to default. It has Market and G-Apps but is missing support for Kies which may affect your ability for upgrades in the future. Let me know if you are interested.

Samsung Galaxy player 5.0 Stuck on Samsung logo loop PLEASE HELP ME!!!
I root my galaxy player using superoneclick and it worked, I had the superuser and installed the root explorer to change the screen density from 240 to 200 and when I reboot my device it is stuck on a samsung going to black screen with vibrations on and on and on and on.
I am able to get on recovery mode but I have tried all options without success and even I am able to get it on downloading mode but I need to returning to life, please can you send me the rom you were saying, please?????

YES,YES,YES, Please send or post the chinese rom, I am stuck on the same samsung loop on and on and on, after rooting my device andchange the screen density from 240 to 200, I dont even know how to turn my device off now.

This maybe off topic but i've run out of ways to solve it. So basically i just got my WIFI 5.0 ( YP-G70EW 16GB). But the trouble is i cant connect it to my wifi where all my other gadgets-sgs2&tab 10.1 have no problem. Now i read from previous post that this is due to froyo 2.2 bug. My wifi connects then discoonects then wont reconnect again.
I've tried to update mt tab 5.0 using kies but i should've known better. It's total RUBBISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I just wasted 3 hours of my life!!!!!!
I see two solutions:
1) Can someone tell me a workaround the wifi issue thing or
2) Can i update my tab 5.0 using Odin? If yes, what firmware can i install keeping in mind that i have a YP-G70EW.

I use it. It seems stable for me, but somebody wrote that it rebooted 3x in 1 hour and sound options missing as well like when you choose big bass it will say "Speaker not supported" and options on the user are gone.
I didn't check the sound option yet, but will in the afternoon.
The bugs what I found yesterday evening:
The main screen and the applications menu doesn't turn if you turn the device
If I start the galery the moving of the pictures (the animations) too fast
Some people did not wipe the device. I will check too in the afternoon.

I am having the same problem - stuck in bootloop. Plug it in usb to laptop and laptop does not recognize player. How did you load?

[Q] Bricked note, what to do?

I bricked my Note due to the EMMC bug. Even the screen does not turn on when I plug it into the power. The Samsung repair center here in the Netherlands said it cannot be repared under warrenty, so if I want it to be fixed I have to pay 321 Euro's. Is there anything I can do to either fix it myself or to get rid of the (imho) way to high price?

send it to your most popular phonemenders(the one sammy uses) tell them you were on kies , it uploaded drivers and was acting strange so you factory reset it then it went black, no response.thats what i did and i got it fixed for free even tho i bought it second hand with no warranty

+1 yes you could have said to the samsung service that you had upgraded to ICS and the phone was acting weirdly so you factory reset from the menu and the phone went blank after that blah blah blah

You can try this here, but i would try activating the warranty by telling them you made a Factory reset!!

They said it could not be fixed due to illegal software (aka the binary counter or they saw the custom rom. I have no idea how they got that info since I cannot get in the device, it doesn't even boot download mode.

I had same issue too..I sent to Samsung and they had it fixed without any question..

Samsung just have to boot download mode and they can see how many times you have flashed..

How do they boot into download mode when I cannot get in?

i just rooted my tablet 8.9 (GT-7300) long time ago.and now,i wan back an origin firmware...here's the prob..

when im using odin,its said failed at connection com.

If connection fails the USB driver is probably not loaded correctly. To obtain the drivers, easiest way is to install KIES from Samsung. After that when you connect the tablet in download mode, hardware is recognized by Windows and you should be able to connect via ODIN.

I can't get "S/W Upgrade" mode

You were on Official ICS?

O2X has many ways to be switched on... it can also boot without battery ... if you are running stock rom (it doesn't matter much which one) then try to pull out battery (2-3s), place it back inside, then press and hold volume down button and power button till something happen... if you tried that, try to pull out your battery for longer time (i am not sure how long it has to be out but 24h will be enough), is is another way to factory reset your phone.
If that above didn't work you will have to do dirty job - flashing new rom via pc. If you never did that then find out some more info abou it first, but it is absolutly save. O2x is un-brickable phone...

I have same situation.... Friends O2x just stopped to work a week ago... Before that it was freezing and rebooting (i assume the reason is broken digitizer, although functional, but freezes mostly occur in temp changing.. for ex: leaving house....)
i cannot enter in recovery, i cannot enter in SW upgrade... every attempt of turning it on, or trying in recovery mode results with LG logo and than black screen (turned on, but black)...
SW is 2.3.4 stock... Is it possible to reflash, via PC, phone in that condition? (i didnt try yet, cause friend is in different town, but will send me phone tomorrow, and I'm now in stage of learning how to with LG (i own htc, have experience in flashing and stuff with samsung and motorola))

As i said above o2x can be booted in million ways. One of them is polling out the battery, holding simultanously volume up and down and connecting it to pc... your phone will still look like dead piece of useless garbage but it will boot up in some kind of emergency mod. You will then have to download any custom rom and flash it to your phone.
... and again, as i said above, i recommend you flash one of these roms... that GB one o had for 1 month really good battery life and RAM management. Second one JellyBean is extremelly smooth but less battery conservative (as all 4xx+ roms), i have the JB one 3rd day and till now no problem

Yeah, ive just found that way... I hope good will come . I will try to flash stock ICS v30b, as i saw it is OK for normal usage (he is not "hardcore" android user )

Oh i forgot to tell you that the JB rom (the install package not the rom itself) has a bug. It contains invalid META-INF folder and you would be unable to flash it. First you have to take meta-inf from version 3.2.0 of that rom and insert it into 4.0.0 archive but everyting is written in that forum thread

And to inform you all 4+ roms are less conservative ICS included... tried TOPOGIGI ICS rom and although it was better then most Cyanogens it was still a lot worse then the GB i posted and if he really isnt that "hardcore user" then try the GB one... my o2x survived 8 days without charging and i was surfing on net about 2 hours per day .

Samsung S5 won't recognize in download mode

Sorry ... I'm a newbie to this "root-thing" ... I'm trying to root my Samsung S5 (Rogers) ... in following the instructions from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2293800 I followed the second post to the letter. When I plug in my phone after running Odin, my computer doesn't seem to recognize my phone as a device and there doesn't seem to be any communication between the phone and the computer. However, when I plug in my computer, but not in download mode, it registers find and I can use file explorer to look at the contents. Do I need additional drivers ? I don't understand while the phone won't be recognized in download mode ...
Any help would be appreciate.

That thread you linked is for the S4. I font know if it works for an S5...but I'd be careful in the future about following procedures or flashing files for different devices, as it could lead to serious issues.
So, for your S5, I will have your thread moved to your device section so the experts who own your device can suggest any working root methods for your device.
