My Problem: My Note will not boot. But I can put it into download mode. Then I try to flash a custom rom with PC Odin 1.85. Odin starts flashing but stucks after only perhaps 5% of flashing (factory...?).
What can I do? I tried different USB-Ports and different PC. Nothing helps. Ever the same problem!! Flash stucks after some seconds.

Turn off firewall and antivirus. Make sure Kies is NOT running in the background. If you're having problems flash back to a stock GB rom and try again. Also give it some time. I have a very old PC and it took me 10 mins to flash.
Good luck!
I'll try it.
Edit: I tryed to flash kk9. Flash failed with error : can't open serial(com) port.

Something could be wrong with your PC drivers.
It could also be that your firewall or antivirus is blocking the process.
- Make sure you have the proper drivers installed. Do that by either searching for the drivers on this forum or install Kies
- Put your phone in Download mode but don't hook it up to the pc yet
- On your pc open task manager and kill every process that has something to do with Kies or Samsung
- Start Odin
- Put all the files in the right sections
- Plug in your Note, preferably in a USB port you've not used with the Note
- Odin now should detect the Note
- Flash away
Now I tryed another USB Port. Started flashing kk9 and it went till "nand write start". Then it stucks there for more than 10 minutes.

And flash from another computer ?
Try to flash
AbyssNotekernel42CWTouchOriginalLogo.tar
If it passes you can boot into CWM and flash a rom in your external SD. It worked for my SGN when it get stuck.
Will try this. Report later

Try starting Odin as administarator.
Then flash the new 4.0.3 official firmware and then flash Chainfire's kernel for it.
I had a similar problem.....no boot and only download mode was on...Stupid Note went dead between flashing on mobile odin....
This was the way I did it.
Best of luck to you !
Hello a little help please. I can't install ADB driver so I Can connect my phone in fastboot mode. It happens that installation crashes every time no matter the driver version nor the source I download it from. I think it's related to the fact that the computer I have access to has a illegal windows version 'cause every time it crashes a window pops up with the warning of been victim of software falsification. So, Is there any way of achieve a successful installation in this computer?

My sony xperia z will not power on anymore. If i connect it to a charger, it shows the sony logo and keeps restarting. When i connect it to my computer not much happens. SUS can detect it and i tried updating it, it downloads and installs and tells me to restart my phone but still nothing happens and the same thing as before happens when i connect it with a charger.Sony PC Companion app does not detect the phone.
So i tried flashing with xperia flasher and i downloaded a 4.3 stock rom, flashed it but then at the end it says usb debugging mode must be enabled but i do not think its enabled, nor can i check since my phone does not power on.
Please Help!!!

sorry meant FlashTool. i did flash and it completed it successfully but when i tried powering on, nothing happend. so i connected to charger and the sony logo loop restart happen again. it said at the end of flashing that usb debugging must be enabled so i think that may be the problem why it did not work.
I have tried hard reset. It vibrates once, pauses and then vibrates 3 times and then nothing.

I know, but I wasn't sure if you tried it with the repair method. If you just plug your phone in to the pc, it won't recognize it. But when you use the repair method, pcc tells you to power off the phone, and bring it into flashmode

Is it cause i need at least 50% battery? If so, is there any way of doing so? because if i connect to wall charger it does the sony logo restart loop and when i connect to pc it goes in mtp mode.

If you dont know bootloader unlock, its most probably its locked. Grab an ftf and flash with flashtool. Usually update service works.
Sent from my C6603 using Tapatalk
I have done that before so that means it should be unlocked.
Now what do i do?
I've got a xperia sp, unlocked bootloader device. I've installed CWM recovery. Recently I tried to install CM 11 and I changed the update binary file since I couldn't flash the rom due to set_metadata error. ( A fix I found in a XDA Thread ). Now the device is on a boot loop at sony logo. I had this issue previously and I just flashed my stock rom using flashtools.
Now the issue is, when I connect my device to the pc while holding the volume down key, the green light ( indicating the device in flashmode ) comes up and it stays for few seconds and the device boots normally going into the boot loop.
I have installed the drivers for xperia, since I rooted and installed the cwm recovery on the same machine the day before. I prepared the ftf file and when flashtool prompted me to connect the device I connect. Windows does not indicate a device connecting with the usual sound.
I tried every possible way of connecting the device in flashmode but it doesn't stay for more than 5 seconds. The same for fastboot too.
any ideas on how I can recover my devce without giving it to a service center?
Thank you.

Firstly, power off the device if stuck in bootloop.
Take off your back case. Take a pen, pencil or similar object. Hold the small yellow button at the bottom of the device with the nib of pen or the object you are having. Hold that button until the device vibrates thrice
If you have flashtool.. Download stock ftf from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2311964 and place it in Flashtools>firmware. Connect your device in flashmode( Volume Down and connect). Click on the Lighting Button> Flashmode and flash. [ BACKUP YOUR INTERNAL MEMORY AS IT GETS FORMATTED]
But note that you will lost Root Access. You have to root your Xperia SP again. And if you have unlocked bootloader then it will remain unlocked. No need to unlock again.

The problem is that I tried doing that! when flash tool requests to connect the device in flash mode, I power off the device and while holding the volume down connect. But there is no sound from pc of connecting a device.! The device turns green for 5 seconds, then starts to boot again. I tried installing the drivers again but the drivers are already there!
Are you able to enter CWM ?

Try this. [ I am not sure about this. I haven't tried this ]
Connect your Xperia SP with pc. And hold that small yellow rest button for 5-6 secs. It should connect your device in flashmode.
It just my opinion. If flashmode does not work why not try in fastboot? Just download any custom rom. Extract the zip file and flash it boot.img. Enter the recovery by pressing vol+. Install the custom rom. After finishing you can try back to flash the stock rom using flashtool.

This seemed to be a hardcore drivers problem. I can't pinpoint you to the right direction as I am not a Windows user (and also prolly lazy to reboot my laptop right now lol)
On your own computer
Open Device Management, and uninstall all related drivers of Xperia SP. These also includes flashmode and fastboot mode drivers. Then execute the "drivers" installer within Flashtool install directory (which is default C:\Flashtool). Then attempt to flash again.
Try on another computer.....
...to see if it works. But make sure to install the drivers first, as mentioned above. Attempt flashing again/
fastboot a CWM-ready kernel
You could also alternatively use a quicker flashing process, which is fastboot WIlliams kernel v7 (the kernel's .elf is in the zip). I can assure it only takes lesser than 4 seconds. For broader steps you may refer here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56907083&postcount=3

The thing is for me
1) I cant see the small yellow button that you are talking about.
2) My device is nto connecting to the flashtool, it keeps on telling me to press the 'back button' -which my xperia sp c5303 does not have.
3) your volume down and connect does not do anything. Apparently there's supposed to be a green light as well and I dont see that.
This question is really to anybody knowledgable about this... Can you help?
I have Flashtool. And the stock firmware in the right place as well. But nothing else seems to be working.
My phone shows the Sony icon when I plug it in to teh computer and press the power button, otherwise when turn it on, it just shows a red light.

I think he means the reset button. It's more copper or gold than yellow.
2nd
Don't look for back button. In the SP, vol down is Flashmode, vol up is Fastboot.
3rd
Press the button before connecting USB, hold it and release when light becomes green.

I would recommend the Sony program "Emma". Make sure you get the latest version. Earlier versions didn't support the SP.
Google for "Emma chip.de Download".

one more thing, its says I need an unlocked bootloader but on some other threads where they were using flashtool they said that having an unlocked bootloader was bad and that it can severely damage your phone. Either way I cannot unlock my bootloader so it doesnt matter. I'll try it using Androxyde's Flashtool first and then yours if it does not work.

Didn't read your bootloader is locked. Then forget Emma! It won't work.
The off button is the reset button.
Do the following.
When flashtool asks you to put your phone to flashmode:
- Unplug the phone
- Turn it off if it isn't off
- Press and hold the volume down button
- Keep holding it!!!
- Plug your phone to the PC. Don't usw usb 3 port.
- Light will turn green, flashing will start

Actually to use EMMA your bootloader has to be unlocked, but if you can't use flashtool or EMMA, you can try the original Sony PC Companion. Go to the repair phone section, identify phone, and it can help you to flash your stock firmware. From there you can restart flashing.of ROMs and all. Worked for me

This would work except for the fact that my phone's bricked. I deleted the system part of the phone using TWRP. So yh.
I have used the repair thing before though, when I deleted the download manager on my phone and literally could not download anything. So I can recommend that definitely.

Have you installed all the necessary drivers via FlashTool? All 3 of 'em i.e fastboot drivers, flashmode drivers and SP (huashan) drivers?
I know its a rudimentary question and you probably have but you'd be surprised how often people get stuck cause they haven't installed requisite drivers.
If the above fails, well you already seem to have TWRP installed so why don't you just boot into it and flash a ROM? Unless you really need to return to stock firmware for some reason, that's a viable solution to your problem.

I think the root is gone, that was part of the thing/whatever I did using TWRP to the system. So using any custom recovery is out of the picture anyway cos it wont work without root and then that's without the fact that I cant access the recoveries in the first place. Every time I try and turn my Xperia SP on, the illumination bar lights up red two or three times and that's it. All the time. Sometimes when connected to the PC it shows the Sony logo, in bootloop.
On flashtool, I made sure specifically to install the SP driver and the flashmode driver. I'm still trying though...

Why did you delete the system via Twrp? Also when you say you can't unlock your bootloader, does that mean you don't know how to or its not unlockable at all? Is your phone being detected in fastboot and is it showing up in Device Manager?
Well if your system's gone, root access is the least of your worries. On the bright side though, your phone's recoverable since as you have mentioned, its alteast showing the Sony splash screen occasionally.
You need to get Flashtool to detect your phone cause Sony PC Companion won't work since you don't have a working system and I read above that Emma needs an unlocked bootloader. Also if your bootloader's not unlockabke, you can't flash a custom recovery and what good's a nandroid backup when you don't have a recovery to restore it from?
If you can't get your phone recognized on your PC, get on someone else's, one preferably running 7 if you don't want to go through all the disable driver enforcement nonsense and install FlashTool, install drivers and flash stock firmware. Like I said, as long as you can see the Sony splashscreen, your phone ain't dead.

Me deleting TWRP was an accident, I dont know exactly how I did it, but I'd attributed it to wiping my system. Or by removing root, which I did somehow. I think removing root, kinda makes a custom recovery useless.
My phone's bootloader unlock permissions are set to no. So I cant unlock it.
And every time I try to flash a stock firmware .ftf file onto it, the phone is not recognised and I make sure to press the volume down button when I connect the wire to the phone.
And yeah, the SONY logo shows itself when my phone is charging. It's been like that for the whole time just on SONY. Also the illumination bar is red. But is it not supposed to turn orange and then green if it is fully charged.
And no, I have been able to flash a custom recovery without having unlocked my bootloader. It's how put TWRP on it in the first place- though I need to find it again. Hopefully, soon, Ill be able to install it and then flash my NANDROID backup onto it.
Hey Guys,
yersterday i installed thrue TWRP the LineageOS + LOS Root + Gapps. Everything was fine... till today.
I would like to enter the bluetooth settings. After then, the display recognises no touch, went black. First i could restart the phone. After restart i was going to bluetooth again. But, the same... After that, no more response from the phone. No, Battery LED, No Fastboot, No Recovery. The phone seems dead.
When i connect the phone to PC there is a "qualcomm hs usb qdloader 9008" device listed but no more. Miflash recognises no phone, adb is not showing.
What can i do? In which state is the Phone? EDL?

Going black for no reason is a common problem of Mi5.
It's in EDL mode.
Flash a fastboot rom and you will be okay to go.

Or else try this version

You don't need to flash anything. Just disconnect and reconnect the battery. 2 minutes job. You can find a tutorial on YouTube.

But after then, the warranty is lost...
How often does the Mi5 land in this mode? This is already a risk because of the use in the long term.

I figured that opening up sealed phone might make people scared or worry for their warranty.
Fastboot flash is easier sometimes maybe?

In my case it happened very often on stock Lineage OS kernel. Never happened on Lineage while I was on DragonXia kernel or on MIUI.
OK! What can i do? Is it possible to switch the Kernel?
I have good news! Phone works after disconnect the battery. But this is not a solution.
I had after rebooting to ROM the same issue when i go to bluetooth settings. BT seems not working probably. If i go twice to BT settings the phone will brick.

I had made a new installation with lineage OS without Root and mini Gapps. Now it seems, that BT will work normaly.
