Which are you using on your N5? Dalvik or ART and what are your results? Battery, Performance or stability issues.
Who is using ART instead of Dalvik VM?

Hi all, I've just flashed Nik Trinity to my Incredible S, I've reboot the device and it shows the nik red screen with loading word frozen.
Please help, I can not use my mobile !
Reflash the rom and wait in the loading screen for atleast 6 or 7 mins not more than that... If the problem persists do a full wipe and try again

Did you do a full wipe and clear dalvik cache before flashing?

Guys I don't know how to do a full wipe and clear dalvik cache? any links?

Go to CWM or any recovery and wipe the data, cache partition and in advanced menu wipe dalvik cache..

Hi all,
When I upgrade CM10 from nigthly to nigthly after the 1st boot I got a message saying: "Android Upgrade, Optimizing Applications".
I had the same behavior on CM9. On CM9 I thought it was related on moving files into the /datadata partition app by app.
However on CM10 we don't nave /datadata anymore..
I am therefore curious to know what is this optimization and how can I found more about what happens during the upgrade process.
Thanks a lot
M

Hi I am a new comers
I just wanna to ask
Do I need to make a full wipe when flashing cm10 official nightly5 from nightly4
Hope someone can answer me

If you wish to keep installed apps, just delete cache and dalvik cache (not factory reset) and install nightly 5
But if you do full wipe (including factory reset) and install nightly 5, there is a bit improved performance..
Press THANKS button if helped..
That would mean I only get improvements
If i make a full wipe. Or?

Not exactly. Myabe yes, maybe no. That's the reason we flash the same rom very times.
Wipe just cache, and dalvik cache, if you don't wanna miss your data. You are in a older nightly, there is no big problem.
But, i recomend to do full wipe. Allways.
Hope i've helped.
Since this is the same ROM am I required to wipe/partition or would I be successful by only wiping the dalvik cache and flashing it right over it?

Guys I have being trying to switch to Art runtime from dalvik but after the reboots I check on settings and I'm back to dalvik. I'm rooted lockbootloder running Xpose framework. Any suggestion on what should I look into.

It's because your running Xposed. Xposed is not compatible and will bootloop on ART so to avoid this it resets it to Dalvik on boot. At this point in time you must choose: Xposed OR ART not both.
