Hello guys!
Firstly, sorry to be asking this, but I'm desperate and have tried a lot about this subject, but could not solve the problem.
I'm from Brazil, do not speak English very well, but I'll try anyway.
I tried to update my Galaxy S I9000B for Android 2.3.3 and I do not disable the lagfix, now the device is stuck on the screen with the name "Galaxy S", and I can not reset the device to factory settings (I think it is because of lagfix, error: E:Can't mount /dev/block/st110
E:copy_dbdata_media:Can't mount DBDATA.
I wonder if there is as I restore the partition to be able to relive my Galaxy S.
If possible, please send me some procedure.
Thank you all!
Think you need to flash again from scratch with Odin with partition enabled

I think that flashing again with Odin is the best way..why don't you update your phone with the 2.3.4 or 2.3.5 with Odin?
Put it on Download mode:
when your device is turned off keep pushing vol+,menu button and power button!
After that flash a firmware with Odin, connecting your device with the USB cable to the pc on download mode!
It's easy
Now it works!
I used these files:
“I9000XXJP2-REV03-PDA-CL464213.tar
“MODEM_I9000XXJP2.tar
“GT-I9000-CSC-MULTI-OXAJP2.tar”
But, now, it is very slow and doesn't enter in download mode.
What I have to do now?
OK, Download and Recovery Mode works again.
But I don't know what is the files that I have to download and use in Odin to resolve the problem of lagfix.
Galaxy S Model i9000B.
I need PDA, PHONE and CSC files.
Help me plz!
Spend some time reading these forums regarding firmware versions. You don't need help, you need to help yourself.

You have to install a custom kernel(like Speedmod for example) to enable lagifix
Here man I think this is the thread you should be looking in. The official Gingerbread firmware for your phone is in the first post. Doesnt look like the same firmware you just posted. Read, Read, Read. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=919219&highlight=i9000b

Here check this link too...looks like a pretty decent mod for your phone once you get back to stock firware. http://www.movilmaniaco.com/android/100-gingerbread-mod-v31-firmware-234-para-los-galaxy-s-i9000b

You might even try using a JVT pda with the phone and csc from the first link, then flash a cf-root and add the ext 4 addon for lagfix.
i flashed a stock KJ1 firmware to root the phone and then i flashed another firmware thru odin. my phone then resrtareted and aftre spash screen showed odin and then it keeps on repeating. im not able to go into recovery and etc etc. please help me!! :
by odin i meant mobile odin...
You have enough posts to know that you can't start Q&A threads in the dev section. Needs to be locked or moved by a mod.
If you splash screen is showing then you shouldn't worry as things can be fixed ...other than that I can't help.

Hi there, first time using odin to flash firmware on my galaxy s (used CWM for everything), and what do you know, it seems to have crashed
Can't link to the guide I was following since I'm new, but it was for XXJVU firmware, I was previously on Cyanogenmod 7.
So now I'm stuck on boot.bin, and have no idea what to do. I read on a galaxy SII thread that if I didn't tick repartition (I didn't) and didnt specify a .pit file (Unfortunately I did this) I was safe.
Should I unplug my phone and try to start Odin again? Or is there something else I should try?
Please help
try
try again.........................1} unplug ur phone and remove battery then again go to download mode......and connect it via pc { note,u must install galaxy s usb driver on ur pc,and remove kies from pc}....now do the process again.
---------- Post added at 11:22 AM ---------- Previous post was at 11:20 AM ----------
have u select correct file in the correct path............in odin
thanks, same thing is happening again, so now I'm downloading XXJVT firmware, as long as I didn't tick re partition I should be able to fix it right?
Edit: Third try is the charm, got past boot.bin now on XXJVU, thanks for the help!
Hey people,
a few weeks ago i grabbed my old phone (the i9000) and thought, let's flash a 4.4 rom, so i did, went great but the phone keeped having random reboots, so i thought let's switch to stock rom, did a full wipe and flashed stock rom with odin. Now i'm havring a bootloop, but i can't get it to go away, i flashed the stock rom again, i went to (stock samsung) recovery mode and did factory reset/wipe cache partition but nothing seems to help, can someone help me?
Gr, Sam
PS: Sorry for my bad english
When you flashed the stock ROM with odin, did you use a 512 pit file and have repartition checked?
You must repartition when going from KitKat to stock. And never tick repartition without having selected your pit file first, because if you forget and start the flash with repartition checked and no pit file added, then your phone is hard bricked.
Was your stock ROM 2.3.6?
---------- Post added at 08:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:09 PM ----------
If you did use a PIT file with repartition checked, then there is a file called dbdata.rfs which you should flash as PDA in Odin which should resolve your bootloop.
---------- Post added at 08:23 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:20 PM ----------
KitKat can run fine on the i9000, but don't flash it directly from a stock ROM. From stock, first flash CM9, then CM10, and then your KitKat ROM usually helps things go smoothly.

Nope didn't use the PIT file, where can i find this PIT file?
But thanks for your help bro, gonna try it.
I am gonna try that too, thanks again!
Once you have the pit file, you flash it at the same time as the stock ROM in Odin.
Do not flash stock ROM in Odin with repartition checked and no pit file selected. You will break your phone!!
Once you have flashed the stock ROM together with the 512 pit file and repartition selected, if the phone doesn't boot then you need to separately flash dbdata.rfs as PDA on its own.
Then you will have a working stock ROM phone.
Just search XDA and you will find links for the pit file and also dbdata.rfs in case you also need it. Most times, actually, probably all of the times I have flashed stock, I have had to flash dbdata.rfs to get it to boot.
Follow what I have told you and it will work.

Download the firmware you upgraded to or the latest firmware for your phone with samfirm.exe or frija and use Odin to flash phone. Make sure to use all 4 files (BL, AP, CP AND CSC).
First try with home-CSC file and see. If it still boot loops go to Recovery mode and factory reset phone (make sure you remember your google account/ password) and then flash the CSC file (this will reset phone as well).
Also try taking sim card out before flashing. (Don't have to but worth a try.)
Thanks again, I have tried the method above - ODIN (PASSED)
but then - boots up until Samsung logo then reboots.
Is there any other solution ?
