[Q] HTC One Dual (802d) not recognized by Widows Softwarees - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

HTC One Dual Sim (802d) is recognized by Wiidows 7. But, widows applications (e.g. HTC Sync Manager, Dr.Fone for android, etc.) are not able to recognize the phone even after enabling or disabling debugging mode. I have tried it by reinstalling drivers, application, changing USB ports. But, application don't detect the phone. What is workaround for this issue?

It's a genuine HTC product. HTC One Dual. It's model number is 802d.

try on another pc, if works, there something bad with ur pc or ur not running programs with admin rights, u have to set up the UAC and/or disable antivirus/firewall. if on a different pc still the same problem, then u have to try a factory reset on ur phone and see how it works

[SOLVED] N1 Brick

Question...
Just upgraded my primary comp and i wanted to mount my Nexus one to try a new kernel.
I plugin the cable but all that happends is that it charges the found, i have no option to mount?
So i look under usb devices at my computer and finds out that it has a "Windows error code 43".
I try and connect it to another computer, its the same.
I just bought 2 new cables, same problem.
OS: Windows 7 64 bit
My Nexus is listed as "Unknown Device" with no option to install the x64 driver.
So my question is... did i brick my N1 so i'm not able to mount it anymore?
__________________________________________
Update:
I sent the device into HTC' repair center, my phone had a Unlocked Bootloader.
Received the phone back today, it had the bootloader locked again and when i turned it on "Update detected" then i got Android 2.2 FRF91 YAY!
Right click on unknown device and select update driver. Then select the appropriate driver either from the SDK or the Android website. It's been discussed multiple times. Search the stickies.
Also if you bricked your phone, you'd be freaking out alot more.
I did -.- I have installed this driver alot of times, and as i wrote, i already tried the x64 driver.
Windows tells me the best suitable driver is installed, which is Unknown device.
I even tried removing all usb drivers to let it search again, i tried adding the driver manually, also failed.
I tried the driver from the SDK and using search/google i was able to find a x64 usb driver, which also fails. Windows error code 43.

Believe me, i am freaked out :/
I have been developing a android app on my laptop for about 2-3 weeks now, and i wanted to mount my phone at my stationary pc.. Now i cannot mount it on either my laptop (with all the drivers installed) or on my stationary pc :/
Here you can see what it looks like
Note: It does not accept any of the drivers posted in the USB Driver topic

Nope... I just installed Windows 7 32-bit, the same issue.
All i get when i try the drivers are:
"Windows has determined the driver software for your device is up to date.
Unknown device."
You may want to try a live thumbdrive with ubuntu 10. That worked for my 64bit system. Also you can boot your phone right?
Bricked generally means that you can not turn on your phone, thus turning it into a useless brick. From what I understand this only happens when you update the radio and remove the battery.
If you have changed your rom previously are you running the Desire rom?
I've been running the Cyanogenmod ROM while ive been developing my android apps.
I have been unable to mount it after i installed my new hardware. I should also say that my comp managed to destroy a USB-stick aswell.
Worked before upgrading comp, now it doesn't.
And yes, i am able to boot up the Nexus
If you can boot into your phone its not 'bricked'. Do you have SD card reader on your laptop or desktop, or another smart phone or device with an Micro SD card slot. If so I'd pop up the SD card and try to read it by itself. If that doesn't work I think its just the card not the phone. If it does then something screwy my have happened to your phone.

My computer also burned out my Cardreader, so that is not a option either.
However i was able to use the MicroSD reader in my laptop.
My SD card works just fine there.
Search for usbdeview, download it , run it and uninstall your htc usb drivers and then reinstall your X64 driver from the sdk. That should solve your problem.
I know this sounds stupid, but are you using a cable to extend the length of your usb? If so, unplug it.. i had the same problems, it was a stupid cable and i was freaking out.
Re: N1 Brick
No, not that either. Also tried formating the SD card, no luck.

Try following this Guide..
http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/index.php/Install_the_Latest_Android_sdk
It took me a few goes to get Windows to LOAD the correct Driver
Tried, didn't work aswell... However i do have another question for you guys:
My teacher got a HTC Desire, i asked him to try my MicroUSB (original) cable and see if he could mount with it, he couldn't either, only charging like it does on my Nexus.
So i decided to buy another original HTC MicroUSB cable but i had to wait for the shop to receive the cable from HTC.
Meanwhile i bought this cable and tried it with no luck aswell: http://www.av-cables.dk/computer_ka...a_microb/usba_han_microb_han_1_m_1888_da.html - This one didn't work either.
New question:
Does it require a original Nexus One (HTC) MicroSD cable to mount?
I mean, the cable must be broken somehow too since the Desire cant mount using it aswell.
The shop received the cable today and i should pick it up today.

This tells to me you did it wrong. Do not search for drivers, do not let let windows determine anything. Tell it you have disk, navigate to your drivers and install them. Give windows a choice and you'll never get anything done.

[Q] HTC Sync Manager not Recognizing HTC One

Hi guys,
Got a T-Mobile HTC One yesterday and I can't get the thing to be recognized by HTC Sync Manager. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it tons of times, restarting the phone, restarting my laptop. Nothing works. When I plug in the phone, I get a drive that has a link to the HTC website to download Sync Manager, which I've done already. And if I turn off USB debugging, I get a message from HTC Sync Manager that says it's unable to recognise the device because it's locked (which is false).
Are there any sort of drivers that need to be downloaded for the phone? It seems unable to "mount" as a drive like my old Google G2.
Any help would be appreciated guys.
I have a MacBook Pro on 10.8.3.

Thanks for the reply,
I turned USB debugging back on, still no luck. And unfortunately I'm on a Mac (OS 10.8.3). Those drivers are only for Windows, correct?
try changing the usb cable

im on mac as well when i plugged my htc in and it told me to get htc Sync Manager, it installed the drivers as it loaded so maybe uninstall Sync Manager plug the phone in see what happens
I tried uninstalling sync manager and trying again but nothing happens. And I don't know how to delete the drivers or install them. I've seen a couple of download links to "mac" drivers for the HTC one, but they actually end up being .exe files. HTC support has pretty much given up and told me to go with a third party sync manager.
Anyone know where I can uninstall or install the drivers? Thanks

I had the same issues and ended up using android file transfer for mac..
google "android file transfer mac" and you'll find it.
it's pretty fast and much better than sync manager.. you can leave sync manager installed, i think it's still using the drivers of the installation.
HTC Device Not Recognized Locked
I was having the same problem, and what solved it are the following steps:
1. Go to settings
2. Click on Developer options
3. Uncheck USB debugging (this was recommended in another forum)
4. I also turned Developer options off
5. Plug your phone back in
6. After I performed the previous steps, my computer installed device software, and once that was completed, the HTC Sync Manager recognized my device and allowed me to sync it.
Operating system Windows 7 with an i5 processor
Hope this helps.

You could try installing the drivers manually. Does a device show up in Windows' Device Manager when the phone is plugged in?

i installed drivers manually and i uploaded photo of Device manager
is the problem from my phone or from my PC ?
thanks for Help
sorry of the bad English not my first Lang.
Your device does show up in the device manager, so that's a good sign! Can you see what the exclamation mark means in the properties?
Same problem here...
Tried with another P880 on same computer and it was found.
ADB works, and access to SD-cards (internal/external) works just fine.
Only thing that doesn't work is PC Suite, it just doesn't find the rooted device.
Any ideas?
Which OS you are on? I am on windows 8.1 and i had to install Windows Media Feature Pack for N and KN versions of Windows 8.1 to manage to access phones memory.

I even tried one non-roted P880 (my gf's) on same computers without any problem.

Problem with HTC drivers

Hi.
Yesterday I bought a HTC ONE.
It's quite diferent to root and unblock than my previous Galaxy S3.
I've found the All In One Kit that seems to be quite easy to use and user friendly.
However I'm facing strange issues with the drivers...
I just installed the latest HTCDRIVERS.EXE and as soon as I plug the HTC on my laptop, my windows tries to install the driver (with USB debugging ON) but without sucess!
More strange is that, a few seconds after a windows pops up showing "HTC ONE" and asking if I want to open files, see photos and so on...
So, what am I doing wrong since everytime I try to use the ALL IN ONE KIT to get a token ID that will lead to unlock bootloader, I get a "DEVICE NOT FOUND" message?
Please help me...

To get the token ID you need to be in fastboot mode, not booted in Android.

uninstall your current drivers and try these they work flawless for me

MD5: e2a21d71954d4164c1a116abb926a363
and don't rely totally on the toolkit for everything
use the included adb / fastboot files yourself and get familiar with them it may save your butt later
It looks like that the real problem is that ADB sees my HTC as offline!
I can't figure out how can I sort this out...

[Q] HTC Sync Manager problem! Phone is not connected.

Hello,
I had sync manager installed and it was working fine. Until I upgraded the phone to the latest os. Which was the Lollipop.
Now what happens is
Sync Manager opens, but says phone is disconnected. I see the phone in windows explorer, I can browse through all the files, I can see pictures, music, etc.. No problems.
I have tried uninstalling sync manager, reinstall. Rebooting many times. I have tried running a driver cleanup of all devices and still same thing happens.
USB debugging is enabled. I would like to root the phone and install a custom rom. But the adb utility doesn't see the phone as well. I have tried Hasoon2000 and it doesn't see the phone.
I have an sdcard as well on the phone and I can see that as well through windows exxplorer. I have tried other manager alternatives such as Mobi, phone explorer and they also don't see the phone but they open up as well when I connect my phone but just can't connect to the phone.
I have Windows 7 64
HTC One M8.
Thanks for any help in advance.
