I'm using the latest Honami monxdified ROM rooted[LB], after using the phone for 1 day my power management suddenly malfunctioned so to fix this i need to go to settings>apps>all to clear data of Eco mode controller but it's not there.my question is, is it possible to reinstall the Eco mode controller? i mean only just the Eco mode controller..where can i find that? because i have @Nut's 4.3 ROM too i can extract his ROM to find the eco mode controller but i dunno where exactly it is.. I'll appreciate any help and solution regarding this problem. Thanks! :crying:

GT-S5830V Won't enter download mode

It goes into Recovery mode ok but no download mode.
Power + vol down (or vol down + vol up) + home makes it loope the galaxy screen once then it just loads the built in rom.
After I first bought it I could get it into download mode. But after rooting her so many times she refuses to play ball.
I have tried unrooting it and uninstalling busybox / CWM etc but don't know what else to try.
is there anyway of resetting the "bios" of the phone to default or something?
I tried restoring the stock build.prop.
Dunno what else to do.
Any advice much appreciated.
Regards.
did u tried entering download mode through terminal?
in the terminal :
su
reboot download
and u ll be in download mode n if this doesnt work then try flashing new rom

He can't get into download or recovery because 5830v is an Aussie version with secure kernel. He needs a USB Jig to get his phone into download mode. However he can root the device by enabling USB debugging and installing the latest drivers and then running an exploit like Moto-Chopper (same as I have done). Then I'd advise using Galaxy Toolbox to unlock the device and backup the EFS. Then I would generate the PIT file and use EFS to do all full image backups of the device. I would buy/make a USB jig and then flash a custom recovery. Then flash new kernel. Then after all of that you may now flash a new ROM. Avoid Odin where ever possible. The 5830v is NOT the same as the 5830i. The i can handle software from the v but not visa versa.
Take that as a word of warning.
Edit: I posted in this thread because there is very little information of XDA about the Galaxy Ace GT-5830v

Hey Jarmezrocks!
I have an Australian Samsung galaxy ace gt s5830V. I am finding incredibly hard to find any info on how to fix the bootloop on my screen. As per your advice I have purchased a usb jig ( to get my phone into dl mode). But as my phone is not rooted and I have never put any upgrades or roms on it I'm a bit puzzled as to why it has done this and how to fix it. In your post you say not to use Odin. Why is that and what can I do instead?
Your help would be greatly appreciated because all the info on here is mainly directed at s5830i.
Thanks

Avoid Odin trying to flash a custom ROM, use it only when you need to. Flashing a more insecure kernel that enables download mode without the use of the USB jig in other words.
For you it maybe as simple as booting into recovery mode and simply doing a factory data reset? That should wipe any data that maybe stopping the device from booting correctly? After factory reset you should be able to flash a custom recovery zip from the factory recovery? I can re-upload what I used that was successful with the S5830V if you are stuck?

Guys i really want to use that mobile again
Pls help!!
Try this, remove battery and sim card then hold the buttons to get into download/recovery mode and while your holding the buttons replace the battery. if that doesn't work then try a jig, you can buy one or make your own. info here http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/help/guide-how-to-make-usb-jig-reset-binary-t1604707

Try using the method provided by pryerlee but leave it on download mode. Use Odin or Heimdall to flash a new kernel and just after it reboots, quickly go into recovery mode where you should factory reset and delete the caches. Hope this helps!

This didn't help but thanks for replying!
You should still have download mode as it is hard coded into memory. Maybe try with a USB JIG and you can make one if you don't want to buy one. http://www.xda-developers.com/android/need-a-samsung-usb-jig-build-your-own/
I can get to download mode, but with various PC's and laptops, different USB cables (including the original Samsung) the phone does not appear as a device.
Any ideas?

You used the same root package? If so, then maybe you flashed a wrong kernel.

[Q] Problem with startup screen, what with this?

Hi
I try flash mobile with firmware Lollipop 5.0.2 (CyanogenMod 12.0) from http://novafusion.pl/downloads/
Flash process was a corrupted with error message.
When I then want flash I have problem go to boot menu, but finally I flash to original firmware who was modified by brand operator. But this change disappear on flash mobile.
When I start (restart) mobile, I have broken screen 10-15 second - show on the picture ( i8190n.jpg)
It is possible do with this?
Exist any repair firmware for i8190n?
Thank you
Dwonload the bootlogo from http://novafusion.pl/downloads/ > Extras > Select your model and flash the Original bootlogo with ODIN.
Hi soralz
When I flash "original-bootlogo-nfc.zip", problem startup screen disappear.
Problem is only logo? not working S3?
Thank you
I have the same problem with my s3.
And now i cant start recovery mode and isnt recognized by a PC..
Im dead.. . i dont fine a solution..
Write me if you have a solution.
Hi
When flash and your phone still reboot and phone was not usable I use some steps.
Get off battery.
Most useful is Vol+ + Home + Power (then write me repair....)
Vol- + Home + Power and then flash via Odin
Best regards
So you have screen with info s3mini but no logo samsung with swirl.
Hmm, try in recovery Restore default setting to get rom without any bugs, after this go to download mode, install non branding stock rom by odin - You dont lose anything without addons from cell operator. After install turn off phone, go to recovery and do clean dalvik and cache and restart phone. Now might work properly.
I have a simillary problem in Dec 2013 when Nova fusion bring firsts cm11 releases. It will help me with this.

Hi everyone Im with this C6616 (Bell) Xperia Z and tried to install a app from the store wich Is Lollipop Screen Buttons[root] , after Following the steps in the app I had to reboot the phone and when it light up there was no background (It was black!!) then I clicked on the app's shortcut that just created on the desktop but even tho I pressed RESTORE DEFAULT BUTTONS and restarted the phone again it didnt work . SOLVED**---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here we go
1- Open Backcover with help of a suction cups and a slim screwdriver or any hard slim tool .
Start Flashtool - Connect to usb - Power on device -Test Point(Golden dot between batt. cable and big metal motherboard shield) touching the middle of that metal shield + Volume down quickly - hold until flashtools says Device Conected in Flashmode. DONE you can now proceed to flash it with flashtools - Keep Having a good one !! btw this was random testing after extended hours of research while xda forums were down for maintenance hehee. Ask me if you need details nor files .
