I have a Rogers HTC Dream. I've had it for months now. I recently upgraded it to the newest version (1.86).
I was just fiddling with a new app I downloaded - "shake alarm" (where you need to shake it to stop the alarm) from the market. to test it, I set an alarm within a minute. after I closed the phone, I put it on idle. then it started to restart itself and it won't stop!
I've taken the battery out many times to stop it but it still won't load properly!
can someone please help me?
Well, I think the only thing you may be able to do is to do a wipe. Turn on your phone by holding home and power. Release when the recovery screen comes up. Open the keyboard, press Alt + W
When that is done, you can press Home and Back to restart. This resets everything back to factory, you'll have to set everything back up. I think that your downloads will be saved the first time you load up Market, but they'll be gone after that, so try to install them all at one time (that's if they are saved).
hm, I tried but it won't let me past the HTC loading screen.
Urgent!
My HTC dream has the same problem, its keeps on restarting and doesn't let me get to the recovery screen. Can't downgrade using fast boot as well, as it from Singtel. It used to happen before but used to get ok once i'll take out the battery and boot it again but now it just keeps on restarting. Anybody with a solution?
Or can anybody tell me why its happening?
Hello xda
I've got a problem with my i9000 with stock ROM.
Sometimes when I close an app, the icons on my homescreen keeps blinking. I mean they disapear and apear all over again in loop. I can't even open menu.
Sometimes it stops after few minutes but sometimes I have to reboot my phone to get it work normal again.
Do you know what's the problem and how to solve it?
Thank you in advance.
Greetings from Poland and sorry for my bad English.

Hi,
from time to time I had similar issue: When I closed a call the contact list stayed open and could not be closed (with the BACK button). I think it was due to the fact that the phone did not have enough memory available. I had to kill some processes (press and hold the HOME button). have you tried killing some processes when having these blinking icons?
Yes i still have the exact same problem! Does anyone know how to fix this?!
I have an HTC One M7 and it just updated the start screen...and is now frozen on "Update HTC BlinkFeed", "Please don't turn off your phone during installation". It's been like this for over an hour and I have actually tried restarting and shutting down, without any success. I really don't want to have to do a hard reset, but has anyone else had this problem? Do I just have to wait it out, or is there anything that I can do?
My HTC one M7 is restarting again and again. I kept restarting until the battery got over. I tried to get into recovery mode but it would restart before i could select the option. Can anyone help me out, what should i do ? My phone is not rooted, no change has be done to the phone. Its genuine.

I am seeing exactly the same problem. A few seconds before it started happening it presented the message "Hold power button <X> seconds to restart your device" after which it entered the boot loop. It is acting like the power button is permanently pressed, but it doesn't seem to be a mechanical issue. At this point I do not care about saving the device, but I would really like to get the data off it.
send me ur email address I will mail u the link to the solution of ur probs
