Hopefully this simplifies things for those of you that are trying to get Gingerbread installed. If you need screen shots for certain parts I will try to help out.
Watch Video and follow steps above "http://youtu.be/ExwoHC5pOiQ"
To get back to stock just use the V10e .fls file and then load the stock rom from CWM recovery.

Did you use superoneclick to root it? And do you have cwm? If you do odds are your rooted! Btw I'm loving GB super fast and smooth. I'm using coh'a lite rom instead of the Acura one the only problem I have with it is that Swype keeps force closing so I had to install some other swipe keyboard from the market, but its not a bad tradeoff

Need to restore your phone back to 100% because you need to send it back to Google or just want to get that feeling when you first got your Nexus 4? Use this guides below for Windows and Mac!
This will restore you back to stock 4.2 Jelly Bean, and yes after you fully finish this process you can send this back to Google for whatever reason.

Yesterday i did same thing, only i found some different thread. It must be somewhere on nexus 4 forum. I was on PA 3+ and it worked very well. Only remember what you need to go to recovery and clear catch before booting, because in my case i couldn't boot until i wiped catch. And to enter recovery mode. You need to go enter fastboot, when choose recovery, and when you will see "dead android" you need to hold power button and then press (only one time, not hold) volume up and then you will see menu you can release power button. No need to press vol up and vol down. Just vol up, and press it only one time. Yesterday my mistake was then i always was holding power+vol up and phone was always turning off. Maybe this info will help for someone.
Edit:
this is that thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2010312

It is under step 4.
Is there also a way to just unroot without deleting all data?
All I did was replace the customrecovery.img and installing supersu. Cant I just delete that?
I have a battery problem and I need to send the phone back, but Im afraid they will drop warranty because of me rooting it (only to try to calibrate battery -,- )
And what about 4.3 ?
If you reflash your android device to 4.2.2, will it ask to install the update (4.3?)
So, did anyone tried it? does it works? my friend asks me to unroot his nexus, and i want to be sure, that i'll not kill his device

Tried, and so far it seems like I've bricked mine. When I'm supposed to see a dead Android, I have an exclamation mark instead of the "open stomach Android".
Does this work for returning to stock 4.3?
I created this account just to thank you!
It works wonders! save my life cause my nexus 4 was doomed when I installed Cynogenmod with the Cynogenmod Installer.
My wifi not working. Phone not responding when I receive a call and many more problems! Thanks to your guide I'm able to restore it perfectly.
One small problem when I using this guide is one of the steps require us to type in "4.2UnrootNexus4.zip" (actually just type "4.2UnrootNexus4)
Hello, when y try to perform the point 7 of the following process:
Get RSD Lite 6.14 (recommended version) for Windows only.
Get the stock firmware file, make sure you pick the latest ICS firmware file here (7.7.1Q-144_MB886_MR1-22_SIGNED_CFC.xml.zip) for AT&T.
After successfully downloaded, extract the zip file. And edit the 7.7.1Q-144_MB886_MR1-22_SIGNED_CFC.xml file using notepad, and then remove 2 lines with getvar.step operation=”getvar” var=”max-download-size”
Open RSD Lite, open the XML file that you have edited before.
Turn off your phone, and then enter the Boot Mode Selection Menu by press and hold the following keys together (Volume Up+Volume Down+Power). Using vol down, scroll to AP Fastboot menu, and then vol up to select it.
Connect Atrix HD to PC via USB, your phone will be recognized by RSD Lite as MB886.
Now it’s time to hit the Start button, and please wait for about 10-25 minutes.
Once the flash process done, your device will reboot. Your Motorola Atrix HD (MB886) should restore to stock and unroot now.
I disconnected the cable, and now I receive the following message:
RSDLite: Failed flashing process. 1/23 flash partion \\gpt_main0.bin – Phone returned FAIL.
ATRIX HD: downgraded security version
update gpt_main version failed
preflash validation failed for GPT.
Each time that I turn on the equipment, I need to go to Fastboot menu and select normal boot.
Can you help me?
Regards
You made the same error I did. I tried to flash back to ics which it will not allow. From here you can either deal with the having to turn your phone off and volume up, down and power at the same time to booty your phone, or you can run the latest file that has been uploaded by the firmware team to get rid of it. Unfortunately this will put your phone to unrooted jelly bean with no real possibility of root at the moment.
The file name is MB886_att-user-4.1.1-9.8.0Q-97_MB886_FFW-20-27-release-keys-ATT-US_BuildA.xml.zip .
Good luck.

I forgot you need to edit the xml file and remove a couple lines. I don't have the file on this computer or else I would tell you exactly what they are. When you try to flash though it will say it fails on something like getvar just remove the lines that have getvar in it, there should only be two or three lines that need to be removed.

So this will fix the Atrix HD that starts into bootloader everytime? I just got a replacement through Asurion 3 days ago and I messed up and updated to Jelly Bean before I rooted it. Then the nightmare began. Couldn't figure out the AHD Utility that was supposed to fix this also.
It was suggested I call Asurion insurance in a couple weeks and tell them I lost the phone before I could send it back and switch motherboards from the broken LCD phone with Rooted Jelly Bean. But I think they'd be able to track the IMEI and punish me for keeping it.
Please help!!! I'm freaking out and I'm sick of this black blob in the center of my screen. Thankyou in advance.

I tried all of em for AT&T and not of them will work. The release for the fix is the one that keeps requesting a password when I try to unzip the file.
Is it possible to downgrade the AT&T Atrix HD back to ICS to root? I can't find any solid facts, some places say yes, some say no, some say look around to see anyone else's issues. I don't know where to look. I can't find solid facts and would like an answer.
ReverseZero seems to be saying no, Winiwini seems to be saying no, I don't know what to do. I have the RSD and ICS .xml, but I don't want to risk a brick or anything.

Right now it seems to be mostly people asking others to try some method or other and then waiting to see if anyone reports success before trying it themselves.
If anyone has rooted it, please provide detailed method of rooting with screenshots if possible for this particular phone
@rahulsnair, the method you have posted on various threads does not work. I have tried it multiple times (on S6012), it always gives the

Here's what it says
While searching for a method to root the JB build for the yarvik tablet of my family (usual methods have not been successful), i stumbled upon the following Windows based method that now i want to share and should work with a lot more devices:
On your PC:
1. Install USB/ADB drivers from your manufacturer's website
2. Install & connect via http://www.moborobo.com Management Tools, loads own device specific ADB-drivers
3. Download & install this Chinese piece of software from http://www.shuame.com/
In case you don't understand what you do:
- On Website press blue download-button with arrow pointing downwards
- During Installation uncheck every checkbox except the one that grays out the next-button upon unchecking
the download has been a bit slow for me (10kb/sec), if it fails or the take it offline: drop a comment, perhaps i can share the setup file somehow
4. On your device: turn on USB-debugging
On your PC:
5. Run Moborobo Software, then plug your device to USB-Port, wait until Moborobo has recognized it (in my case i had to click some dialogues...)
6. Run freshly installed software from Shuame.com (titled Ë¢»ú¾«Áé in my start menu)
7. When shuame-Logo appears on your device's screen, head on the windows-software towards the 4th icon in the top row; on the appearing screen click on the 4th icon in the 2nd icon-row (the android with some chinese signs + ROOT as title)
on your device:
8. download SuperUser (or superSU) from Market or install via other sources (if not already done)
9. replace asian root / su files (recognized as older versions) with newer ones by SuperUser or superSU
10. delete 2 chinese shuame-APKs from /system/apps directory or uninstall via Titanium Backup
11. => you're done.
if more than 10 People complain they can't find the right button's to click
then i'm willing to post a few screenshots...
else: have fun!
oh, and if this worked for you: drop a comment and let the others know!
PS: props go out to the yarvik forum where i found this: http://forum.yarvik.com/showthread.php?4243-root-after-upgrade-to-4-1-1&p=12972&viewfull=1#post12972

Ok, I have been reading and want to root this bad boy but everywhere I read I get confused. Don't flash using kingo. Use root de la vega but if your on MJ5 like me then don't use de la vega. So, what do I do? I want to root, and run xposed but I also want to do it correctly. Did I mention that I'm on MJ5?
Please, any help would be nice.
Just use Kingo... I used it with no issues other than the custom padlock showing at boot.
And you can get rid of the padlock after you install a few tweaks using wanam xposed.

I heard about the v2 of the kingo, did you use version 2 or 1? Could you please tell me the thread or guide you follow? Thanks

There is nothing to follow. Just Google Kingo, download the app to you PC, start the app and follow what it says, it is all automatic...

There s no version 2 yet. I think it's up to 1.1.5. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Hi
Please follow the below steps
Step 1. First, make sure you have either SM-N9005, SM-N9006, SM-N900, Korean SM-N900S, Canadian SM-N900W8, Sprint SM-N900P, or T-Mobile SM-N900T model Note 3. If your model is not listed, try CF Auto Root instead.
For AT&T Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900A root method, see How to Root AT&T Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900A!
For Verizon Galaxy Note 3 SM-N900A root method, see How to Root Verizon Galaxy Note 3!
Download the following files:
Download appropriate CWM or TWRP recovery for your Note 3 (Make sure you download the CORRECT version for your Note 3 model!!!)
Download ODIN program and unzip.
Download SuperSU zip file
Download and install Samsung USB drivers
Step 2. Turn off your Note 3.
Step 3. Hold down, Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 2-3 seconds then let go of all buttons when you see a warning screen:
Then hit Volume Up button to enter Download mode.
Step 4. You should now see Download mode. This is the ODIN download mode where you can use ODIN to install custom recovery.
Step 5. Plug a micro-USB cable from your Note 3 to your computer.
Step 6. Run ODIN program you downloaded earlier in Step 1. (only for Windows or use VMWare on Linux/Mac).You should see a yellow-highlighted box with a random COM number in ODIN program. If you do not see it, download and install Samsung USB drivers then unplug/re-plug the micro-USB cable. Also, you may have to use a USB 3.0 cable supplied with your Note 3, try plugging it in a USB 3.0 port first and if that doesn’t work plug it into a regular USB 2.0 port. One of them should work.
Step 7. DO NOT TOUCH ANYTHING ELSE but choose “PDA” in ODIN program then find the CWM recovery .tar file you downloaded earlier then hit Start button.
Step 8. Your Note 3 should now reboot. When rebooted, copy the SuperSU zip file you downloaded in Step 1 to your Note 3 internal storage.
Step 9. Turn off your Note 3.
Step 10. Hold down, Volume Up, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about 6-7 seconds then let go of all buttons.
Step 11. You should now be in CWM recovery. Choose “Install zip”, then “Install from sdcard”, then choose the SuperSU zip file you downloaded earlier.
Step 12. Reboot and your Note 3 should be rooted. You can verify by downloading and running Titanium Backup app from Play Store.
But if you use cf auto root you will trip Knox and you will void warranty.

Just use Kingo, it's safe and it works with no KNOX tripping. You can also revert it if you choose to go back to stock unrooted.

If you are worried about voiding your warranty, then you shouldn't root your phone..
For those worried about Kingo this is copied from their current user agreement. So if they violate it then you have a case for a law suit against them..
5.5 Android ROOT DOES NOT contain any malicious codes aimed at undermining user data and accessing users private information, or any function codes monitoring and tracking user computer, DOES NOT monitor users online and offline behavior, collect any user information of other software and documents, or disclose any private information.
If they where fishy as some around here say they would not include that paragraph in their own agreement to hang themselves with..
Would Kingo work for the att note 3 ?
