Am unable to pair motortola H-500 blutooth headset with my XDA IIs .While connecting the headset the XA says its connected and shows the signal strength is just right.but when I make a call I just hear some static but no ring or voice when I'am called.
Other bluetooth function like file transfer and private networks between my desk/notebook works fine. What might be the problem? I also triead a whole range of Nokia blutooth head sets and Jabra, sony ericcson but with the same result. any help will be most welcome .

I have no problems with the H500 running on the default MS bluetooth stack (Helmi AKU 3.2). I can hear phone ring & terminate call from the headset.
Known problem of unable to activate BA's bluetooth sometimes happen but once activated & headset paired, a press on H500 button automatically connects it to the BA.
You probably have a headset problem.
Hi
Try to update your radio.
It’s working for me with radio 1.15.0
Hope it helps
When I receive a call and decide that I want to turn on my bluetooth headset, it's not recognized until after I disconnect the call.
Also, anyone know of a tweak so the blue LED for bluetooth only turns on when there is an actual connection?
Hi
My bluetooth headset works fine while on the phone with wifi off, but as soon as I turn on wifi while on the phone audio gets terrible and some static is heard. is there a fix for this? why would this be happening? is there conflict between wifi and bluetooth?
thanks
Not sure what the issue is, I have a blueant q3 bluetooth and it connects fine and I can make calls fine with it, but when I try to answer a call with it connect it doesn't work. I need to turn it off and swith back to phone. Any one else have this problem?
And if so, will it interfere with my phone's hotspot?
I need to use my phone's hotspot to provide internet access to devices in my car.
If "wireless" AA uses wifi, can it and my hotspot run at the same time?
If I'm not mistaken it works with bluetooth not wifi
Android auto works with both wifi and Bluetooth.
Wifi must be used to transfert image and audio to the car as Bluetooth doesn't have enough bandspace.
Don't know how Bluetooth is used. Maybe Bluetooth is used only to track is Android auto is usable or not.
So it may be problematic with hotspot.
I stand corrected.
Bluetooth is used for voice (calls and media).
Wifi is used for the rest (data/video, input and output).

Not exactly.
Bluetooth is used for calls yes, but media is sent to wifi.
It's impossible to have this sound quality with Bluetooth.
A bit off-topic, but maybe somebody can help me:
in my aftermarket Android Auto set-up the head unit has NO microphone input. Phone calls are handled by the built-in car BT-phone (works fine!), but voice connection drops during every phone call once or twice as the phone call's BT connection goes over to the Android heads BT connection.
My question is: is there a way to FORCE phone calls initiated from Android Auto to use the cars built-in BT phone connection instead of the Android Auto BT voice connection to prevent dropping the voice connection duiring phone calls?
It is an annoyance -but a nagging.
