Hi guys ,
Trying to install Andriod 4.4 but not getting baseband . After trying several methods , I read somewhere that installing perseus kernel can solve the problem. So download and flashed the kernel . Since then phone boots upto S3 logo and dies .
I have tried booting up in recovery but does not happer . please advise what shall i do ?
Thanks !

Flash stock firmware via Odin to get a bootable phone first .
Then read the network efs/ imei stickies .

Thanks , yeah figured that out after reading for hours. tried searching for stock image but was unable to find one that works in odin.
Found one but that was over 1.1 GB but download server did not allowed free download for that.
BTW I can access download mode and have installed Odin 3.9 successfully , just looking for stock image to try flashing.
PS : Mine stock is Australia S3 4G telstra , not sure if other stock images would work or not but really appreciate if someone can refer to me stock image that can be downloaded.

Have you had Perseus kernel installed previously?
EDIT: Oops, not quite used to the whole 2015 thing yet, sorry for necrobumping.

[Q] GT-P1000 stuck at Samsung boot logo after Clockwork Euro backup

Hi, I have searched the threads and found similar problems but no solution appears to work for me.
I took delivery of my GT-P1000 UK model today and everything wise fine, rooted OK until I installed Clockwork Mod's Euro backup from the market. I let the euro reboot the tab and perform a nandriod backup that backed up Ok and verified but the tab would not reboot after that - only the Samsung boot screen and no recovery mode via the power and vol+ buttons.
I flashed the euro firmware pit, PDA P1000XWJMI, modem and phone but still no joy just the boot screen or download options. I do not know what my original firmware version was so I just chose the latest 2.2 available in this forum (P1000XWJMI).
I am pretty much stuck at the moment and would appreciate some help to get my tab back into working order with the stock froyo 2.2 Uk 3G+WiFi firmware.
Also tried firmware P1000XWJMG but still no joy :-(
Cheers
Tony

Thanks for the pointers but I tried both methods and they failed to work. Overcome failed to flash via odin and Stock Gingerbread installed OK butfailed during recovery:
Upon installing update assert failed: getprop("ro.product.device") == GT-P1000 and so on for each GT model and then Error in /cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip (status 7).
The wipe cache fails with E:format_volume: rfs format failed on /dev/block/stl11 the wipe data/factory reset also failed on /dev/block/mmcblk02p , stl10 and stl11.
I am no expert but it seems that my filesystems are read only following the attempted ext4 conversion by the Euro clockwork recovery app yesterday. I have tried to flash at least 10 different firmwares but all fail to boot I am beginning to think that I have a brick and should return to Samsung service centre...

if your tab still can on and go through download mode is not bricked ...
what you need is pit and stock froyo to get back your SDcard .. after you do this step u can flash the gingerbread , this problem happened to me from 2days back , i flashed back to rotohammer rom then i flashed gingerbread , and got no more Error msg like you got up there ...

I know this is an old thread but what was the outcome?

No recovery but i still can access download mode

ok So any help will be greatly appreciated.
THis is what the issue is:- I am able to access download mode and via ODIN i can patch any firmware on to my phone but after ODIN is successful the phone Start with the SAMSUNG boot loader Splash screen before the kernel loads up and stays there. it doesn't go head . hence i do not have recovery mode. i have tried patching with stock firmware with PIT 512 . This didnt make any difference. I have tried DarkyROM 10.2 Resurrection and that hasnt helped either. I cannot for the life of me get the freaking phone to start up with a boot loop . Once i have a boot loop i can move forward and patch the kernel and get recovery mode . so is there any one out there who can help me with this issue. I have a USB jtag cable so getting into DOwnload mode is not an issue even if i lose 3 button combo .But i cannot get the phone to boot up with any firmware .
thank u in advance . I have a Samsung Galaxy s I9000

did both didnt help . the deal is i am able to run all of this but the freaking phone after patching does not go beyond the bootloader splash screen . I would also like to mention that prior to this i was running miui 4 ICS . my phone screen cracked and hence i gave it to fix the screen . when i got it back the phone guy fix the screen and ran a default samsung gb firmware on it after this the phone does not go beyond the Samsung Splash screen after which the kernel splash screen start and u get access to recovery mode.
Did you try flashing different ROMS, kernels or custom recovery? Since you can get into Download mode you could flash custom recovery and do factory reset from there.

well if u come from ICS ...then u need to re partition ,when going back to stock!! very important
search threads for : Going back to GB from ICS i9000, this should help u gl
The easiest thing I have always done then that happens is to flash a kernel for that version that comes alone (like semaphore kernel) with Odin/Heimdall. It will come with its own recovery, so you have a starting point
Flash stock firmware and then do a factory reset from stock recovery since odin doesnt format back to rfs for you on /cache and /data i believe. Fixed it for me.

Your problem seems to be partition related. What I do is use ODIN to flash Mily's Rom 1.2 - this one repartitions your phone (must have it checked in ODIN). Phone takes about 15 minutes to go through repartition and startup process.
After that flash any newer GB from recovery menu ...

Go to recovery and do a factory reset and reboot. If that don't work u ve to be more specific about what custom rom u are on and what stock are u on
I can't go to recovery mod only on downloading mod N7000DDLSC_N7000ODDLSC_N7000DDLS6_HOME.tar.md5 this is the firmware i'm using via odin
and I used custom rom jellybam 8.0 .
This is the JB boot loop bug, just install the stock JB for your region and then flash the PhilZ kernel, you can find it in the original Android development forum. And after flashing the PhilZ kernel you're ready to go...hit thanks if i helped.

I did and didnt find anything helpfull for my situation.
Also tried to root again but again its stuck on downloading... do not turn off target screen.
Boot to download mode and it says as it should Downloading do not turn off .
You are now supposed to flash the firmware via odin .
You should flash your stock firmware to get the phone working .
Then read the basic faqs and guides before you flash anything as its pointless flashing without reading the basics .
Or take it to a service centre .

Thanks for the reply ill consider doing that

Clear data and cache then reboot you may not have to reflash the rom. if that doesnt work tha use odin to flash stock rom. good luck

Is there a way to know my version/pda since i have no idea what stock rom to download
Device model no. in recovery mode
Hi,
Sorry to ask a random question. I Have my device model no. as S3 I9305 when I go to download mode and in my phone settings I can see my device model as S3 I9305T. I have recently installed Australian official firmware(XSA version without any career bloatware) in my phone, which is the S3 I9305T. I found it weird to have two different model nos. in 2 different places. When I first bought this phone it was the Telstra version, which is S3 I9305T. After that I changed many firmwares and installed S3 I9305 version from optus and other country's S3 I9305 version as well. Could you please tell me why is that?? Is this because I once installed I9305 firmware once? If that's the reason, today I flashed I9305T official firmware again with Odin. Is there any way to reset the download mode as well?? Please reply. Thanks.

Not unless you know what it is or saved the original .
You can just pick a stock rom for your area/ network .
If you bothered to read the basics their would be no need for all this ratting about .
@JJEgan I need some help, Ive got device, with same problem (i9305)
the donwload mode (which it defult boots into) does not show any device infos (which normally shows on the upper left corner)
Ive tried flashing latest stock rom (4.3) it gives an error (NOT "error pit file partition" but error flashing. failed it does not go beyond sboot )
any help? I am looking for 3 or 4 part firmware for this model, so that I could flash with pit.

So you run odin in windows.
Boot your phone to download mode
Connect device and wait for confirmation of connection in odin.
And then you click pda and choose a stock firmware.
And click start.
@tissot Odin gives fail error as I stated before. Am going to try 3 part odin package ive downloaded,.

not stable

In combination with your already closed thread from before I do not really understand you.
What Rom did you have before? What did you do? What was the problem before?
But: if you can switch to download mode then you can install a stock Rom (see the link I gave you in the other thread) with PC Odin. Do this first and check if you succeed or if you get errors.
HI Thaidai i downloaded latest samsung original firmware and flashed it whit odin (N7000XXLT9_N7000HTSLT1_HTS) and its succed.
but still same problem. And dont be angry Thaidai.
Maybe its the battery?.
One more question triangel counter shows 1 is the warranty gone then?
regards wikings1
If you are really sure that your flashing with Odin was a success:
Try to switch to recovery now and make a factory reset.
You installed a kernel with Odin - resulting in a raised counter. You can remove this later without problems. But first you should get a booting device again.
yes iam sure it flashed oki but still same problem.cant boot to recovery. i Think firmaware was original no root from sammobile
shall i try Another firmware from the link you gave in Another tread?

In your posts from last year you used a Custom Rom.
So I think you do not really know about the state of your device and so also you don't know if the flashing with Odin was really successful.
So: yes, download another stock Rom, check the MD5 hash to be sure that the download was correct.
Install it with PC Odin AND make a snapshot of the ODIN window after flashing was completed and post it here.
i had custom rom but i tryed to flas original thats why changed rom
i will try whit rooted rom ilbe back
thanks for help thaidai the battery was broken. replaced it whit new one and Everything is ok
