A little help with Google Play description - App Stores

Hi! I was wondering if you could help me with some answers at this question. I develop skins and themes for GO applications (GO Keyboard, GO Locker etc), in the personalization category, and i want to put in my google play description a backlink for a font that i've used in my theme. The font is free for personal use but it requires backlinking the creator's website. Do you know if is it ok/legal on Google Play to do this? I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!

Just type the URL in the description. And yes it's perfectly legal to do so unless and until it leads to illegal sites. I'm an app developer myself.
Please give a thanks if you think this post helped you!

[q] List of free fonts?

I know of a "Font Flasher" app that was shown on the frontpage, but it looks quite complicated for a novice Android user.
I'm looking for a list of fonts to be easily installed (either one by one or in bulk) or a way to put my own fonts on to my galaxy s. Sorry if this has already been answerd elsewhere.
Thanks,
Luke.

there are tons of free fonts on the internet, google them
there is an article in the forum that teach you how to use the free fonts to mod your device
link is here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=765081
I've not tried handcents fonts, but I'll look into it.
Thanks for the link, I'll take a look once I'm home. :-D

Change icon

Hi,
how do I change the icons in the menu? I want to put your icons there
thanks
I think it's at a folder called framework or something and then res/hdpi... You should use Root Explorer to do that because you need to access the internal memory of your device.
But I'm not sure, I'm not a themer. There are some tutorials here at XDA where you can find more information about that, with a lot of details. Some people have already made a few good jobs to teach us. I haven't tried those out yet due to my short free time but I'm sure that with a little search around the forums you can get all the infos you need to theme.
Good luck!

Have you tried a different launcher like ADW Launcher or Launcher Pro? They are customizable, there are themed supported. Take a look into that.

[Q] Themes for ADW Launcher

Hi, first of all I want to thank you for everything you give us every day.
I apologize for my english, I'm actually using the google translator.
What I would like to know is how to create a theme for the ADW Launcher Ex since they do not find much information. It is very difficult? I have to have that knowledge?
Best regards.

I would be happy to teach you, but i am busy creating a ROM

Windows 8 Theme :

Hi Friends,
I am really excited to see the mindblowing results of Amnix Xperia theme.
Amnix did an excellent job in making a note to xperia Z edidtion.
just wondering, is it possible to get the Windows 8 live tiles theme in the same way the Xperia theme is imported.
There are launchers availble on google play but that are not user friendly to be used as for daily use. This innovative idea will bring lots of new themes/skins(Sense 4.0/Live tiles/Ios) to our Galaxy Note
I dont know anything about developing. but this really excite me to ask this query. Sorry if my question is irrelevant.
Thanks to all developers for helping us and giving us an oppurutinty to make a different feel of our Note:good:. Hats off to you guys
Thanks & Regards,
Naresh Mahbubani.
There is a windowsphone launcher available on the playstore, other than that i fear youll have to with widgets.

Xperia theme is just a launcher as is touchwizz, launcher7, launcher8, apex, go, nova, adw etc etc. They're all written for Android and often open source which means we can get the source code to port them to our device.
Ios and windows phone 8 are not written on Android ie its they're own os and both are closed source so there is no way to port them ever. The best you can do is try an alternative launcher.
Try launcher7 and launcher 8 they're by far the best windows phone launchers.

Launchers :
I agree tere are few launchers available in Play store but using it in daily use is a pain. Most of the time launcher fails/forced stop.
I was wondering if anyone can create a replica of windows 8 to our galaxy note:fingers-crossed:
Don't know what's wrong with me today, keep creating blank posts :what:

Nexus 6 Organization

Hello guys and girls!
I have a simple question about the state of 'organization' with the Nexus 6 and it's lack of being able to re-arrange the App Drawer/Menu.
I want to be able to move Apps in the menu freely and place them in appropriate folders to neaten and make it easier to find specific items.
Does anyone know of any Apps/Roots which allow this for the Nexus 6?
[Thanks in advance, first post on this site, please move if not appropriate]

Nova Launcher allows for folders I know.

I would also recommend Nova launcher. There are several 3rd party launchers available on play store. That's all you need to fulfill your request.
I'm shocked at how fast and nice you guys are on here, not sure if it means anything but I have thanked you for your help!
Nova launcher worked a treat.

Without going to a 3rd party launcher (which may be a valid solution for you, I'm not suggesting that you don't go that route), the included launcher is designed to do this by means of home-screens. You can "drag" application launchers from the "mess" onto the home screen. If you drag one into a place already occupied, they will join together into a directory, which you can name. Individual launchers or directories can be either tied to a home screen (meaning that you have to navigate to the specific page it is tied to in order to find it), OR tied to the home-button-bar (meaning that it will be visible regardless of what page you are on).
The rationale is that the main drawer "mess" is alphabetical. Makes it possible to find applications by name, rather than having to scan through a hierarchy for applications you don't commonly use that you may have forgotten how you organized.
