Ok, first up let me just start by saying what a fantastic phone this is. The design is beautiful and really needs to be seen to appreciate the build quality. I will certainly be keeping this one and selling on my iPhone 5. The screen is fantastic and the sound quality is amazing.
The only issues I have found so far are to do with the bluetooth connection to my parrot car kit. Now this may just be down to the car kit but when playing music every 20 or so seconds the music stops and stutters then kicks in and carry on, this seems to happen 5 or 6 times then it settles. Also during phone calls over bluetooth the audio quality is pretty bad, almost like the reception is failing but it's not as when I try with the iPhone 5 using the same same sim card it's perfect? I am going to try and downgrade the firmware on my car kit but wandered if anyone else had experienced any similar issues?
Overall though the phone is fantastic, and if you are currently waiting to receive one, rest assured us worth the wait.

One other issue I have noticed also is the wifi download speed seems to drop to an almost stand still at times and restarting the phone resolves the speed issues and it downloads at full speed again.

it is probably just your car kit firmware, but i dont know why you think rolling back would help?
surely an update is more likely to fix - have you checked the manuf. website?

Sounds like the HTC One X+ issues all over again...Really thought they would have solved the issue by now.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2001204&highlight=bluetooth
Turn the wifi off to remove the BT audio issues in your car - I get the same problem, apparently it will be fixed in the next fw update.
BT Audio metadata is very spontaneous though. This morning it showed the first track I played and wouldn't update it - on the way home it failed to show anything and I couldn't skip tracks with my car controls, I had to use the phone.
It's a known issue according to HTC, turning the wifi off and on again fixes it for me though.

Don't say that! I returned my One X+ because of that issue and have been waiting for a new phone since December. I really hope this is fixed!

I have. Bluetooth audio is distorted in my car with the HTC One. Really a pain in the butt since now I have to use the Aux cable and can't skip songs using the controls on my deck.
The S2, S3, and Note2 all worked fine with my car. :crying:

Did Whompasaurus come with the kernel or did you flash it after the fact?
I may, because the phone tends to get "stuck" on 1X or 3G and refuse to go to 3G or 4G even if there is a strong signal available. I usually have to toggle data to fix it and it's getting annoying. Other phones, including the S4, do not seem to have this problem.
Apart from that the One is pretty much flawless, so I'm just waiting until the end of the 14 days to see if the irritation of constantly switching data off and on gets to me.

Awesome! I'm running Viper right now. I'll trying flashing over that and see what happens!!
Not at all...this is actually the first phone I haven't had any issues with. Not even considering rooting right now just b/c everything works...HTC One ftw
Had the S4 for less then a week before I brought it back and exchanged it for the ONE. Best decision I have made during my 14 years with Sprint. Didn't like the feel or performance (in my area) of the S4 at all. Lots of reception issues, dropped calls etc. Plus the phone just felt "cheap"

Would never switch to the s4, I have used the s4 extensivly. I updated to viper 1.1.0 and no issues with the back and home button anymore, big thanks to viperboy for all his work. Also a huge factor for me is the front speakers, makes the whole phone experience that much better.

I have both. Im using the s4 but still play with the htc one. I bought both off craigslist for a really good price. They are both amazing phones. I cant decide which to keeo. I love the sexy design of the htc one. The speakers are amazing and i love the music app. I really love fact it downloads the cover art automatically. Then the S4. I love the bigger screen. I love touchwiz. I love the fact it has more features. I looooove the meny button being stationary and not different places dependin on what app your using. The fact is there both amazing phones. I think samsung listened to the consumers complaints about the s3 and note 2 and did its best to put out a product wed all love. I think htc listened to the complaints about tue htc one and the one x and did there best. I lean towards the galaxy only bc all my tablets are samsung and my fiance has the s4 so im just more comftorable with touch wiz. But the htc is super quick very snappy if you know what i mean lol. Uuuughhhhhh which one do i keep!!!!! Lol

Did both of those at least a dozen times, but the issues are still present. It may be a sprint problem, but it only affects the One. My old HTC Arrive did not have these issues, and neither do the s3 or s4.

Try repairing at the longest possible distance while the car is running so it hunts for the best BT channel. Start far enough away so that it fails. Then get closer until it works.
Bluetooth works great for me, finally since it was awful on the EVO 4G LTE. Only problem is voice command prompt volume is too low.

Huh.... I'll have to give this a shot.
Does any one know of any programs that monitor the Bluetooth connection so I can see if it changes channels or even something where I can force it to change?

I have been having the same issue with the LG Optimus G here in KC. It is a network issue. It is how the phone trades off between 3G and 4G. I will be on 3g and my wife is on 4g at the same time. There shouldn't be a difference between S4 and One. They have the same modem.
Already did and I'm happy
First one to 64GB on Sprint gets my business (for the S4, that means 64GB +64GB SD Card).
I've got a New Potato Tunelink I've been using with my old Verizon Galaxy Nexus successfully for about a year. Since that time I've gone through several ROMs and Android versions, 4.2.1, 4.2.2 and now 4.3. Bluetooth audio always worked fine with Pandora, Google Music and Pocket Casts.
I got a Verizon Moto X yesterday and while I can pair it with the Tunelink and it plays, music skips, stutters and is unlistenable. Voices sound worse, they're low or deep and also skip and stutter.
I've Googled and found lots of "bluetooth stuttering" threads all over (like this one) but none of the things I've tried have improved the audio. I've turned off wifi, changed wifi settings, tried it with and without the battery saver turned on. I took it out of the box and set it up yesterday, I doubt a factory reset would do anything for me.
I can plug in the stereo minijack and it sounds fine but the Tunelink was supposed to stop the inconvenience of that and did, until the Moto X.
Any ideas? Anyone experiencing the same issue?
I've been using J3 Bluetooth headphones and the moto x has been performing better than my GS4 did. I can put the phone down at my gym and walk 30 feet away and it doesn't skip or degrade.
I don't think it's the phone.
Have you tries re-pairing?

Just to be clear, I have the Verizon variant of Moto X also. Have you considered trying a replacement Moto x?
Also, the Moto X is bluetooth 4.0 and the Galaxy Nexus is 3.0. Could it be that your headset doesn't play nice with 4.0?

I haven't considered a replacement yet, the fact the stores don't have them is a factor.
Good point about 3.0/4.0, the specs on the Tunelink don't specify, I'll contact them.

I have my Galaxy Nexus which works fine.
I ordered this and it should be here today to test out.
I have the same issue with a Motorola Roadster 2. Static is pretty bad when on the phone with other people.
The Kinivo BTC450 Bluetooth Hands-Free Car Kit arrived yesterday and works great. It seems to be the X with the Tunelink. I actually like the Kinivo better as it also allows phone calls and the remote/mic allows me to start/stop music and podcasts.
I also have a Tunelink and am having the same stuttering issue with the audio. Works great with my Nexus 4. Not so much with the Moto X.
+1 for the diagnosis of the Tunelink not playing nice with bluetooth 4.0
I also am experiencing issues with my Moto X and bluetooth. Something tells me it is due to the custom bluetooth 4.0 implementation that Motorola used for Android 4.2.2. I figure that the only "real" fix will be waiting for the 4.3 OTA to add official support.
I tried everything under the sun to resolve my issues. I did a factory reset, un-paired and re-paired, tested on multiple devices and even did a RMA with Verizon. I called up Motorola prior to the RMA and told them about the issue and they said that it was a defective unit. I'm planning on calling them again today to let them know they have an actual issue with at the very least the verizon moto x.
As a follow-up, while my new Bluetooth unit does not stutter and sounds great, my phone now consistently reboots itself after pairing but not until I initiate playing something.
Thankfully the phone reboots quickly.
I am going to wait till the first OTA is released and see if it resolves the issue or not.....if it still has the problem then I'll have to try a 3rd RMA.
I have LG stereo headset, jlabs crasher speaker, and an eclipse headunit and i dont' have any issues with playback. Are you just letting things play or are you messing with the device while playing music? I know on both my Moto X (vzw) and GS3 i'd get some stuttering some times if the phone was under some heavy usage.
I'm experiencing stuttering on my VZW Moto X DE with my Tunelink as well. I had stuttering on my GNex on one version of 4.2.x but all other builds worked fine and it got much better when I upgraded to 4.3, so I'm hoping a new Moto X 4.3 rom will fix this...
Add me to the list of people having the stuttering issue with the Moto X (GSM Dev Edition) and the TuneLink Auto BT unit. Frustrating as hell. I hope the KitKat upgrade fixes it.
Bump. Tunelink is stuttering for me too. Must be incompatible. My tune link is wired to the headphone jack (not using FM transmitter). Sucks.

Not tunelink related but when listening to my Moto X in car with my Alpine UTE-42BT I notice a crazy amount of skipping/stuttering. Doesn't mater what music player I use. If I turn the device off and restart it seems to fix it for a brief time.
I created a post here about my issues. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48496071#post48496071
Anyone else having the same problems or have a solution it's driving me insane!?
apologies i forgot about this thread. i bought my TuneLink over two years ago. i emailed them and they are honoring my warranty by sending out a new revision of the device. its one they're currently working on releasing and i've been on a waiting list to get it.
so far i've sent in my current device and they sent me the same revision. i'm still waiting on the new device, which is supposed to take care of all issues. I have a Vizio soundbar at home and i have no stuttering issues. looking forward to the update.
Is anyone else having this happen. I just randomly get dropping of my bluetooth headphones when streaming audio. It has happened in a couple of apps, so I don't think it is a bug there. Happened both with Google Music and Hulu plus. Really annoying cause I have to go back into settings and reconnect. I have tried re-pairing devices several times with no benefit.
I also noticed that today when it dropped and I was on wifi at the same time, that my wifi connection also dropped at the same time. It also would not reconnect on its own. Is this a bug or have I got a bum phone?

Yeah see I should mention I have a Pebble too. I did not have it connected to the phone however when all this was happening, although the Pebble app on the phone did say it was trying to connect. I wonder if this was causing the issue.

Ok, after further testing it does seem to be related to the Pebble app. Whenever the Pebble app would try to connect to my Pebble watch, which apparently happens any time there is a change in the state of a bluetooth connection, it would cause the loss of connection. There are a lot of posts about it on the Pebble forums. Unfortunately without an answer. As long as I completely unpair my phone from the pebble, I have no issues. But then I cannot really use my Pebble either. Lame.

I just got my Pebble the same day the SGN3 released. I am pleased with it, but the connectivity is not very solid. I was hoping that since the Note3 supports BTSmart, that the Pebble would play nice with it and not drain the battery. I bought at BestBuy and have 90 days to return it, not sure at this point if I will keep it or not.

I listen to podcasts during my daily commute which is about 50 minutes total. So far no problems. I am running an app called Augmented SmartWatch Pro, and this issue was one that it supposedly addresses. Like I said, mine is new and I bought several apps the same day as the phone and the watch, so I may not be getting the out of the box experience. Maybe some other Pebble user will chime in here as well, or you may want to start a thread for Pebble users.
Sweet. I am gonna check that app out. I vaguely remember hearing about it before. I am coming from the iPhone world so still learning a lot.

I have used a IPhone 4S, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Galaxy S4 and now my new LG G2. All the other phone have been perfect for streaming music through Bluetooth except for the LG G2. The music plays really slow and the songs skip about every 5 to 10 seconds.
I am not trying to complain and in about 2,000 miles I will be getting a oil change so there might be updates for my cars Bluetooth. In the mean time I am using a audio cable to listen to my music thru my car stereo.
Anyone with simular experiences with their Uconnect. I have a 2013 Dodge Dart Rallye with the basic stereo not the touch screen.
This is because Uconnect is not compatible with the G2, or vice versa, I constantly check the Uconnect website for updates but have none so far.
Sent from my VS980 4G using xda app-developers app
Yeah, I kind of figured! Oh well, I love my G2 and my Dart...even if they don't play well together. Bluetooth calling seems flawless though...it seems to be just streaming that glitches out.
I would recommend installing CM11 and see if that fixes it. CM team use different kernels and drivers. Might solve it. Seems like a lot of work and risk losing LG specific features though.
