Problem
i have I9070 8GB.
i flash with odin and in the middle, odin get error and stop.
and the phone is freeze in download state with blue status bar on half.
so i remove the battery.
and when i insert the battery back, the phone have no response at all.
No power up.
No start up vibration.
No charging (either with computer or wall charger)
Not detect with pc.
Not detect with Odin.
No screen power up.
so, plz help me with this.
thanks
If you are unable to access recovery or download mode then you probably hard bricked it.
If you are able to access download mode, then flash stock jelly bean with odin for the time being. Before all this make sure you installed usb drivers and use a good quality usb cable. Anyway good luck.

I decided to upgrade to Cog2.2beta5 from Cog2.1.4 today using ROM Manager. Everything seemed to go well but after install and reboot all I got was a black screen and subsequent reboots landed me at the same result.
So I thought restoring back to stock with Odin One Click from this forum, the one with all the ROM files built right in, was the best next step. I downloaded Odin and followed the instruction to the T and it got stuck at the PIT step. After a few attempts at it now my phone won't even power on. I've let it sit without a battery in for several minutes and even charged it on a wall charger for 30 minutes just to make sure it wasn't a dead battery. Still won't power on or respond at all.
I'm fairly new to all of this... Any ideas on what would cause a total melt down of the phone to the point of not even powering on? It has been flawless for me since launch.
Didi you download the drivers? also did you unplug the phone while doing the flash>/
pull battery sim and sd if you have one
Wait a minutes or so
plug in USB
hold vol up and down
put in battery
If the phone does not immediately go to download mode, you have a fancy paper weight that doesn't even weigh that much.

I did download the drivers and from everything I could see, my system and Odin recognized the phone without issue.
I had to unplug it during the process because the process froze in the same spot for well over an hour. I didn't see any other choice.

Guess it's a paper weight then because the phone won't power up at all let alone go into download mode.
Thanks for your time guys.
sounds like you might have done exactly what i did with my first captivate and yes it IS bricked! i know you will read "its impossible" to do that but i "thought" i followed the correct steps and flashed only a pit file. what it does is repartition your file system but apparently nothing is added after that...
not sure what steps you took on odin but it sounds like you got the same error i did and then the same issue so im going to assume the same thing has happened here...sorry matey

I had mine hosed for a while and this is what I did to get it back.
When it is unplugged and everything is out of the phone (sd, sim, batt) , hold the power button down for 10 sec, then release.
Put in battery, hold vol up + vol dwn, Plug into different usb port, Plug into phone.
That should get you into download mode
Mine did this too and the steps mentioned fixed it for me

I too accidently only wrote the pit file and it wouldn't do anything at all just blank screen . Make sure you remove everything open Odin one click, plug in your phone with the USB cable, hold down volume up and down and plug in battery it should start in download mode. It does work.

What did you try to flash with Odin? (with version, variant #, with/without bootloaders)
What was the Odin log?
nothing, no roms yet. i was in the first part of the instruction. this is what i follow
1. Download and install the correct drivers below (mac and linux don't need drivers)
2. Plug in your usb cable to your phone and computer
3. Open Odin
4. Enter Download Mode (see below)
5. Click Start
6. Be Patient, the first boot will take a while
where can i find the odin logs?
While flashing back to stock using Odin, something happened after the install and my phone ended up rebooting, and I have not been able to turn it on since.
-When attempting to power on normally, phone shows white AT&T screen and hangs there
-When attaching USB, phone shows battery screen but battery is all grey and rotating progress icon is frozen. Does not appear to be charging.
-Computer does not recognize phone in any state. Latest USB drivers are installed and I have had no issues connecting via USB previously.
-Cannot get into download or recovery mode using any volume/power button combination or through adb. Also tried attaching USB with ODIN running while attempting button combinations, inserting/removing battery etc, still nothing.
- I have tried removing battery, plugging in usb, hold down up/down/power, plug battery in, let go of power, and it still goes into a stuck grey battery charging screen.
Has anyone else experienced this? Anything else I should try?
Usb jig to force download mode
This package after that
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=995143
So all I need is a JIG to force download mode and flash ODIN until it works?
That's what I said
I mean I can try and come up with more complicated directions if you want a harder solution?

I dont think you are supposed to use power button here. Try again with out it. If you are on Gingerbread, hold volume down and insert usb from the phone powered off, you'll get dl mode.
I made the JIG, got into download mode.
I followed the instructions using JF6 Odinv3 1.3.
Is there supposed to be a PIT file or only TAR? Because after flashing I still get stuck at the battery charging screen.

No pit file. Only tar, it goes into pda slot.
ok I got into download mode using the jig and I found out that I had to follow the instructions for models that are over 1010 and those instructions had a PIT and TAR file. Worked like a charm and I am just glad my phone has been saved. Thanks for the help!
I am having the same issue, regarding the battery screen and AT&T splash screen.
I'm having trouble getting my computer to recognize my phone after running it through Odin. Odin claimed to be successful in restoring the phone, but I'm not sure what to do to get the computer to recognize the phone.
Thoughts? I'm running Windows 7 on a Dell Inspiron duo-core desktop.
okay from what I can tell just make a jig. I am no engineer but the instructions online are really easy to follow. Just go to radioshack and buy the 100k ohms resistors 1/4 watt 5% resistance. Make the jig and follow the instructions on how to force your phone into download mode. Once you enter download mode, dont plug in the usb yet. Open Odin first, THEN plug in the usb. Have you also updated or installed your samsung usb drivers?
Has anyone tried to hard reset?

Hey,
Take a chill!
Yes you have bricked your tab. No worries happened with mine too. Just install all the required drivers in your PC and when you get that logo connect your tab to computer and Odin will recognise it.
It is basically stuck with download mode with different logo.

Samsung Drivers Are Installed in Computer with ADB,SDK,Java But The Problem Is The Logo In Attachment Above Should Stay Constant It Appears For Sometimes Gets Dissappear Again PLZ Do Reply
The thing is that it does not charge in the mode you are in.
If you know someone that has another Tab dismantle both and use other battery? Or charge your battery on another Tab... Or take your Tab to some kind of repair center and tell them to charge your battery outside of the Tab
Then you should be able to connect in download mode and restock.
What wrong files did you flash?
This is why you don't flash while on low battery, but yes you should be able to recover from odin still when your tab is at that stage. I used odin to recover mine when it was only displaying logo for a few seconds, once odin download begins it will lock your tab into a certain screen and be okay.

Hello,
I have a Samsung Note N7000, the phone is off and it hasn't been working for about 2 months, when I charge it the green battery comes up on display and charges to 100 percent but when I go to turn it on it does nothing, the screen goes black and then the battery with the circle in the middle pops waiting for the charging status to appear and then the green battery pops up.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Unplug from charging and try to boot into recovery (volume up+power+home button) and also see if you can get into download mode (volume down+power+home). and give details what did you do 2 months ago that it stopped powering up.

When I unplug from charger I can not do either of those things, all though when it is connected to the charger and I can boot it into download mode. I dont think I was doing anything to it at the time, I think the charge just dropped on it

As you have not provided details, i am assuming that you downloaded the stock rom and followed the instructions from the link i gave you and odin gave message success?
Connect your phone to pc open pc odin and flash philz kernel (.tar file) in download mode and once it is finished try to boot into recovery.
Hi. Guess I brick my S5 Mini G800F. I root it couple days ago and everything worked fine, but this morning the display was black and the keys light, so I put the battery out for a restart. But there was no restart, phone is completely dead. Couldn't even charge the battery inside of the device. It was out from it for hours, but when I put it fully charged back into the device nothing happend.
When I try to flash any firmware Odin just say "ID:0/0006 Added" but then it stuck during "SetupConnection". Anything else I could try to bring it back to life?
Nobody?
If device is completely dead, how do you get the blue icon in Odin showing that device is connected and ready to flash? Are you sure it's in download mode? If yes, try another Odin version, cable and computer.
But it looks like a hardware failure, you need to send it for repair, unfortunately.
I don't think it's in download mode, but when I connect the phone Odin only show "added" if I plug in the battery to the phone. If I take out the battery it show "removed". ID:COM field is blue when it show "added".
It's Odin 3.10, which version should I try?

Was just able to flash a new firmware. I pressed the right buttons and bringt it to download mode. Then Odin starts flashing. But the display and LED seams to be dead. I hear the boot sound and Odin say Pass, but display doesn't show anything.
Any chance to delete all private data from the device without display, which keys do I have to press for that?
