Erratic behaviour of Trinity

Is anyone having an idea on how to handle the following:
- Start menu is opening and closing by itself, and
- after a while the device stops to respond to any input on the touchscreen, while other functionalities seem to be OK;
- neither a soft nor a hard reset help. The screen remains 'frozen' until... again difficult to say why, it recovers and then ...all over again as above.
thanks,
Nic
I had the same problem after about 2 weeks of use. Turn off, soft-reset, hard-reset didn't help at all. Leaving the phone off for couple hours helped but the problem occurred again. Very frustrating. I have contacted the HTC support but still haven't received any responses from them. I think it's the hardware problem.
This is either a motherboard problem- it has occurred on some Trinity and Hermes devices and involves the screen controller chip; or it could be a problem with a screen protector (if fitted ) causing pressure around the edge of the screen
I had the same problem. Sent my device to HTC and they replaced the motherboard. When I got it back, I thought all is well. The drop down menu started again so I sent back to them with a nasty message. It is in repair now and hopefully they will fix it again, change the motherboard and the screen!!!
Hello Gilbert,
When you send to them, you had to pay the shipping fee?

Hi,
Oh yes. twice already and this pisses me off. When they sent the device to me the first time after claiming it was fixed, i did not have to pay for shipping costs. Let's hope they fix the bloody device soon or I am going to change brands.
Thanks,
Gilbert
I saw that problem on youtube

Man I really hope mine doesn't have that problem, I wonder what it is? Let us know what happens when you get it back, again.

Hi there,
After having used my Trinity for 4 weeks I am experiencing same problems of erratic behavior, the start menu is activating itself and as a consequence device is slowing down gradualy up to the point where it freezes. I tried, soft/hard resets, removing battery etc. but nothing seemed to work. I have not installed the screen protector yet, so I can rule out straight away the effect of the screen protector. First I thought it could be jog dia lwheel which might be faulty, then it crosses my mind that it could be some virus. I donwloaded some applications off the internet. Before I found this thread I was considering of deleting the ROM and replacing it with another one, but it seem that the issue is more of hardware origin rather than software related. What happend after you got it from the repair? Is it working now? Cheers.

Screen issue

Hey guys.
I bought a used Xperia Z today.
The seller changed the screen and the battery, and the phone was pretty much cheap(130$).
But now,I have a issue with the LCD.
The exact same one this video shows:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DoAF3Ry-CsM
Now,I dont know if it is software related(highly unlikely) or a hardware issue, but could it be that the seller connected the screen improperly?
The back cover glue is bad,so I can check it out,and I will, after the phone recharges.
My thoughts are that I have to get a new screen. Am I correct?
I will wait for the phone to recharge, and then I will try upgrading it to Lollipop with FlashTool, and if that wont work,I will open the phone and look for the issue.
Hello, did you fin a solution for the problem ? I have the same issue.

Any rom without hardware check?

Hi,
I am looking for a ROM without any hardware test on BOOT.
I have a small problem. if anyone can help me out please help.
Recently I cracked my screen and hence went to a local shop to get it replaced. Once replaced my phone was not booting. I thought it maybe a software issue. Later I realized this happens due to hardware and maybe some connection is not made, like the headphone jack.
I opened my nexus and checked. Turns out that guy dropped my light sensor which is close to the front camera. There is no light sensor now in the phone. I cannot go back to him.
Can anyone please suggest me some ROM which skips this hardware test? or any other solution please?
No need to open multiple threads. You already have one here:

Regarding touchscreen Issues;

So my Lg g4 started having touch screen issues (misclicks or detecting no input at all) about last week. I've done a good amount or searching and found out this problem was quite common. However, I haven't seen thing about whether its a digitizer issue or something.
So my question is, if I were to replace the screen/digitizer (maybe both) would it solve the issue? Has anyone done this?

Touchscreen malfunctioning.

Hello,
I bought a used Z1 almost a year ago. Everything was working perfectly, I was very content with my purchase but I broke the display shortly after. I got it changed at a local repairman but ever since then, my screen acts weirdly.
1. When I use the phone for 10-15minutes, it gets a little warm and so do my fingers and then the touchscreen starts acting weird and pressing stuff on its own. If I lock/unlock it, the problem is solved.
2. Same thing happens when the phone is turned sideways for a few minutes and when I flip it vertically, the touchscreen starts acting weird. Lock/unlock fixes the issue again.
The fact that lock/unlock fixes it leads me to believe that it's not a hardware problem. I started a research and found this topic - https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2691849 , however it's a bit outdated and is already edited saying not to try the fix. I'm not proficient enough at this so I cannot really grasp the idea behind the topic mentioned earlier and can't get myself to try it cause it might brick my phone or something.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
Regards:good:
sorry to say you friend but it's a hardware problem it's something related whut the screen contrast I've tried everything the only thing left it's to get an original screen replacement and I haven't been able to get one in my country
Generic Screen, that's the problem, i would never recommend to buy a "new" screen, always buy an used one or a phone with broken motherboard and swap them imo
tbh, your problem is weird to, may be a bad installation, i had the same problem in a z1 that i use for games, disassembly all the phone and now I'm using the screen without gluing to the base and the problem was "solved"
