after i got the OTA update, the phone finished downloading and started the installation process, the phone rebooted into that screen with the 3 green arrows (2 circling and 1 down). i left the phone on that screen for more than an hour or some and that's it it's stuck on that screen.
i tried the pull out the battery and put it in again and when i boot the phone it goes back to that screen.
plus i'm not able to boot into hboot nor doing anything and when i plug the usb to a pc it wont detect it.
i have tried everything i know so far :s and still no luck .... i would be glad if anyone can help me.
not a single reply !!??
i should throw the phone from my window then

You did not give enough information to even try to help you. As markj338 suggested, if you have modified your phone by unlocking the bootloader, flashing a custom recovery or rooted the phone, it will not apply the OTA successfully.
So what was the state of your phone before you attempted to run the OTA?

So we are clear, your phone was completely stock? Or was your bootloader unlocked and you locked it before checking for updates?

the bootloader was unlocked, i relocked it then installed an original RUU after that everything was working normal, i checked for updates so i got the OTA update, then installed it and then my phone stuck on that screen.
What method did you use to lock your bootloader?
thanks guys for everything, i found a store to fix my phone, and they fixed it with jtag box and now it's brand new.
Hi guys,
I am having trouble restarting stock c6616 into recover mode?
Read so many articles, watched several videos on YT, but i cannot get it working.
Most of instruction will say TurnOff phone, turno on, wait for led and keep pressing volume up, problem is LED is not lit at all on my phone.
I also tried to reboot to recover via ADB , phone will just restart.
Any ideas?

You need to have a custom recovery installed to access that feature.... Do you have one installed?

Tried to install dual recover for locked bootloader too,.. same thing, flashed successfully (at least it was saying that) and cant do nothing.
This is my 5th Android phone, and it is biggest pain to unlock/root/flash so far.

Ok ok,.. looks like i got it working, i re-flashed that Dual Recovery and i was able to start TWRP now.

No you can't. Custom roms like PA, OMNI, Cyanogenmod need a custom kernel. It is not possible to flash a custom kernel on a locked bootloader. You can still flash stock based roms though. If you search in the development section you will find some. They are marked with "LB"

Correct.
You can check it in service menu if you bootloader is unlockable. Open dialer and enter *#*#7378423#*#*
Go to service info > configuratoin. If it shows "bootloader unlock allowed: no" you won't be able to unlock it
Checked that! , out of luck for me :/
Ok, trying to figure out LB Rom installation instruction.
I will give a try http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z/development/rom-existenz-v5-0-0-ultra-edition-10-4-t2349656

Hi
I just got a XT1094, with the chilean carrier Movistar everything was great until I installed a leaked new version of google seach, the phone stop working and when I turn it of and turn it on again gets on a boot loop hole.
I can access the fastboot mode but when I use recovery appears the android robot wih the warning sign for a few second and then it goes to the boot loop again, factory reset dosn´t work neither.
The phone isn´t rooted or have the bootloader unlock.
Please I am starting to get kind of desesperate.
You have the XT1094 ? Odd, i bought it on release on same carrier and it is the XT1097
If its not rooted or unlocked, just go to Movistar and change it, ill do that since if you mess up something you might lose warranty.

Actually I assume that was that version but I cant confirm, I cant return it to movistar one of the first thing that I did was let it escape of my hands so it now have a few scratch that will avoid the warranty I am sure.
I dont think that a few scratches will void warranty, after all the problem is "software", just go and say that it doesnt turn on and it goes to bootloop
Especially when it is THIS new, and its not the hardware that it fails. I assume that since its unrelated it should not void it
I will try it, I don't know what else to do I will have to go tomorrow.
In the worst scenario if they tell me that my warranty is voided, What sould I do?
I think you could flash another stock rom trough ADB, look for a pure edition (Brazilian should be ok)... That should work.
By the way, in the base of the phone is the version of your phone (next to where you charge the phone)

Yeah I haven't noticed it until a few minutes and you were right is a XT1097.
I have downloaded a few stock roms called moto x pure KXE21.187-42 and a Moto x pure multi tool that in the post said that work with XT1097 also but I need to have the bootloader unlocked and I don't know if I can unlock the bootloader in this status.
You can access fastboot, so yes you should be able to unlock it (search the FAQ in this forum for more info on how to do it)
BUT go to movistar first, keep this as a backup plsn, if you mess something you may lose the phone.

I have a Nexus 6 that came rooted and with busybox.
how do I know if the bootloader has been unlocked?
You can't root it without unlocking the boot loader, so if its rooted then that's all the evidence you need

Also, as soon as you turn on the phone, the black screen with the white Google logo comes up, on the bottom of the screen should show and unlocked padlock. That also means your bootloader is unlocked.
do you see an open padlock on the bottom of the screen while booting? then it's unlocked. also, you can boot into the bootloader, itll say unlocked. but if you already havd root, its probably unlocked, or he relocked it. if you have root, you can use an app to re unlock it.

I suggest you start with this, to learn adb fastboot and flashing.
https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images
If you run into the missing system.img problem here is the link to fix it:

This way you can start from the beginning.

Last question : is there anyway to change the icons colors and shape on the notification bar like wifi, signal etc?
Hi,
I have absolutely no idea on android so need help. I have purchased a faulty Moto G (dual sim) 2nd gen and it just gets stuck on the blue moto logo screen (powered by android) for a few seconds then just switches off. I can get into the recovery screen but that's about it.
Any help would be hugely appreciated.

If you have not done anything to the phone, like trying to unlock the bootloader or things like that, then yes, just return the device, you got a bad apple.

It is repairable but if you still haven't unlocked your bootloader then you can just get repaired free of cost from the service center but if you decide to do it on your own, you'll have to void your warranty in order to do that!

If you bought the phone second hand and have no chance of getting your money back then you can follow these instructions.
https://motorola-global-portal.cust...il/a_id/99825/p/30,6720,9151/kw/factory reset
This will perform a factory reset on you phone and hopefully restore it to how it was.

Just beware that unlocking your boot loader voids your warranty.
I think you should seriously consider just doing a factory reset on your phone.

Moto g 2nd gen stuck in boot
Hi everyone,
Sorry for reviving thid thread. I have a moto g 2nd gen with unlocked bootloader status code: 3, it wont go past the boot animation with the globe and Motorola logo then shuts off, screen turns black with faint backlight and i have to press the power button to completely turns it off.
What i did so far.
I booted into recovery and made a cache and data wipe, didn't work.
I flashed a stock firmware. (5.02 btw) through fastboot with bootloader relock, all steps were successful but same result, wont go past animation boot.
I noticed when i issued bootloader lock command, log says successful but bootloader is still unlocked.
Also noticed phone is not detected by my pc except in fastboot mode.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Same Problem
Hi dichar,
I am having the same problem as you had. Did you ever get it resolved ??
If so, how?
Let me know please.
