I rooted my One months ago when I got it, installed viper one, and Ive been loving it.
But I havent been updating it, and my viper one was on version 2.7.
I was going to wipe my phone and install the newest version, but something went wrong with the installation and it wouldn't go through, and it somehow corrupted my CWM.
Now I cannot boot back into recovery, and Im in a bootloop.
I can get into bootloader, but thats about it.
My phone is S-ON, and I can't get my PC to detect it to flash a recovery, or anything else.
Ive updated my HTC drivers, and it doesn't seem to be helping.
Edit: it seems that my PC will detect the phone while it's in bootloop, and will go as far as putting the phone into fastboot.
But once Im in fastboot, it no longer detects my phone, so I cnanot flash a recovery.
When you're in the bootloader with your phone connected. Can you see the driver installed in device manager in windows?

What Windows are you using. Use Windows 7 if you can. Windows 8+ can sometime have problems communicating with HTC drivers..
Either update Windows or make a ubuntu live USB/CD

ok, so my phone is screwed.
Been trying touse this thread to recover it - http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=2325853
I have no SD Card, I can not mount SD Card in Recovery.
I have from what I can tell installed the Android SDK and when doing 'adb devices' I get 'error device not found'.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled HTC drivers and sync, does not recognise my phone. Device manager shows my One but can not find any drivers for it.
I have tried the All In One Tool to sideload, does not work, does not reboot to bootloader etc due to drivers not working.
Basically my phone is dead as, what can I do? Take it to HTC, how much would it cost to fix?
Cheers
EDIT: If i reboot system from Recovery it tells me it does not have root, do i want to root it? I say yes and it reboots to splash screen, nothing else
What operating system are you running?
If you're using Windows 8 search for the thread with the windows 8 drivers.
I accidently formatted my SD card while I had no rom installed. It took a while but eventually ADB picked it up and I was able to push the rom to my device using ADB push (I was also getting the "No devices found" message). This was before I found the windows 8 driver thread, it just randomly started working after many resets of both my phone and computer.
What recovery are you using? Do you happen to have a flash drive and a usb otg cable? This is an other option.

that is easy dont panic
1- if the drivers is not installed properly you cant do anything from PC and send it to the device
if you are using Windows 8.1 there is NO drivers for it,
if its Windows 8 there is NO official driver yet but you can install Windows 7 drivers
if its Windows 7 or earlier make sure its installed correctly if you dont know reply to my comment i will tell you anything you want
2- it happned to me too No Root and NO Rom installed, i simply copied the ROM to a USB Stick and using a USB OTG cable ($1) i plugged the cable to the phone and mounted the cable and then installing it from there,
tell me more about what you have and i will help you
Spent a few hours last night working on this with the help of Matt from here
I have CWM Touch (latest) and he was able to fix the driver issue, and we got sideloading working.
Will push the rom to phone, install, start roms splash screen but go no further. Still no SD Card or missing the mount points to show SD Card.
Attempted to S-Off, failed, unsure if CID 11111111 was successful. (Not CID11111111, was HTC_039 now VODAP21 or similar)
I has told/read an article that if you flash a differnt base (eg ICS to JB) that it will replace a script that handles/writes the mount points..
That worth a try but I believe all roms are JB. Any idea of any ICS roms for the One??
I can not find a RUU for 1.29.980.2 to try, only Nandroid Backups that I can not use as no SD..
EDIT: what does a flashing red led mean too? Cheers
So as I tried to update to new software I noticed it just kept booting into TWRP. So I decided I wanted to unroot my phone. Didn't go so well. I rebooted and now it just keeps booting into recovery. I have no idea what to do now. I have a backup on my computer, but the device is not recognized anymore. So I can't just copy it over to my phones storage.
A tutorial or walkthrough on how to restore your phone from a backup on your computer would be really great. Everything you can do that is help related is appreciated to.

I am not familiar with adb, and im trying to install it now. But just get that the command isn't recognized.
more info on what commands to use would be very useful
http://www.androidcentral.com/android-201-10-basic-terminal-commands-you-should-know
You'll probably want to use ADB push.
update
Yea thanks. I found out a few minutes ago. That I were able to push files from my computer over to the sdcard using the command. ADB push rom.zip sdcard/rom.zip
took a while, and am using a custom rom, which looks to be running pretty nice.
Hello
Few days ago I wanted to flash CWM recovery for my Vivid. Its S-Off and unlocked, running Unofficial CM 11. I wanted to install stock Att ICS version of android but I geting error message on TWR. So my only option is to install CWM recovery. I found a PHxxIMG.zup (xx is number, I dont remeber now) and inside that zip was CWM recovery .img. I flashed recovery with Terminal Emulator and whent I reboted phone nothing heppened. No charging, no lights...Vivid seems dead until I conected to Windows I found that Windows detect device as QHSUSB_DLOAD.
I have found a toturial here on XDA for unbricking Vivid with QHSUSB_DLOAD problem. But, after two days of trying still nothing. Script on Ubuntu Terminal wont find my phone. Evem if I know its connected and Linux see it. Any hope for my phone?
Sorry...
AFAIK your phone can only be helped with a JTAG...

Okay, so I'm pretty sure I can't find this anywhere. I have HTC One M7 International Model (Asia : CID HTC__001). I've root it and S-off it and flash recovery than I installed Sense 6 InsertCoin ROM. Almost every month (once per month I think), my HTC One is suddenly stuck and goes back to HTC Logo and had a bootloop issue. The 1st and 2nd time I successfully unbrick it with force (I wipe all the data and installed a new rom until 20X or more). But this time, I tried to wipe all the data, flash a new rom and even RUU!! When I flash a new RUU, my PC said that "finished. total time : ....." but in my One, it's still stuck at the HTC Logo with the green bar at 90%. Okay, then I force restart it into bootloader and reboot my phone. It worked, I'm in my RUU and everything's is going fine. UNTIL I UNPLUGGED MY PHONE FROM MY PC. It freezes again and had a bootloop issue again. It's always like that, even with new rom or anything. Please help me, after this I'm going on a vacation. I appreciate everything you said, thx.
Are your drivers updated?
Try the debugging mode on and then connect.
Also change the USB cable if the phone keeps freezing.

Hi, I recently bought an M7 which is bricked believing that I can fix it and profit. It boots into fastboot and recovery (although recovery is a piss off to get into) just fine. The bootloader is locked. So when I saw it I tried to do a factory reset through the recovery, but I noticed that it said something like a backup that was already there. So I decided that the best option is to unlock the bootloader, so I went ahead and opened HTC Dev and opened fastboot until I noticed that it wont connect to the computer. I tried a different pc different usb, different port, but no luck. Adb and fastboot wont connect. I checked whether it was the usb port. It charged with no issues whatsoever. So this is definitely a software issue. Does anyone know a way to fix this? I am experienced with the m7 so any advice will help. And yeah I tried to re install the drivers as well. Thanks.

If it helps I'll mention that when I enter the recovery it says "error cant mount sdcard"

What is your bootloader (hboot) version and what is your Computer OS version (windows version)?
