you can take every custom recovery you want - it is independent of the ROM you will flash

Otherwise, see if this works. I've repacked the tar.md5

[Q] Question.

I was wandering if anyone could create a backup from from the firmware that I will provide, since I can´t load my phone using Odin 4.07 because it will crash and close on my PC, so all I need is to someone to load it into their Ace, use CWM to create a backup rom, and load it here so I can just use my CWM and load it into my phone?
Here´s the firmware, if any one would like to help me recover my phone to it´s original fw, since this wasn´t in Samfirmware.

Make sure your drivers are up to date. However if you've taken the latest OF2 update that might be the problem as well.

Yes it appears I am on OF3. Not intentionally actually, I don't recall doing any OTA update lately. Regardless, will OF3 prevent me from flashing with Odin?

[Stock Firmware] SM-T807A - T807AUCS1CPI9_T807AATT1CPI9 - Marshmallow

Hello, friends.
I've managed to pay and downloaded the latest firmware.
Please note, that it's not an update, you device will be renewed and all user data will be lost.
To install:
1. Extract TAR files from the RAR archives
2. Reboot the device to DOWNLOAD mode
HOW TO ENTER DOWNLOAD MODE ON SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB S 10.5
You must start by turning the Samsung Galaxy Tab S off completely. You can do that one of two ways: quickly press the Power button and then select the ‘Switch Off’ option from the menu. Alternatively, you can long-press the Power button and it will eventually turn off. Just make sure it’s not sleeping and is all the way off.
Now reboot the Samsung tablet holding the Power and Volume Down buttons. Some version might need the Power + Volume Down + Home button.
Wait for the screen to change before letting go of the buttons. You should see the screen telling you it’s ‘downloading’ .
Press the Volume Up button to continue past this point.
Once you have pressed the Volume Up button you should see the warning message leaving the Samsung tablets display.
Now you are ready to connect the Samsung Galaxy tab S to the computer and use the device in download mode
3. Connect the device to a USB port of PC
4. Download and run ODIN
5. Place
BL_T807AUCS1CPI9_CL9294073_QB11706463_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in the BL slot
AP_T807AUCS1CPI9_CL9294073_QB11706463_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in the AP slot
CP_T807AUCS1CPI9_CL9294073_QB11706463_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in the CP slot
CSC_ATT_T807AATT1CPI9_CL9294073_QB11706463_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in the CSC slot
6. click START

Just don't flash the CSC part to keep data.
Loaded it and working fine here. Thanks!
Amazing
Just wanted to say thanks to you & @ashyx. Made a donation. Unfortunately, I didn't see either of your threads until today, as I had given up some time ago on anyone posting any workable images for the T807A! I do want to say to all that if there is a Samsung Experience Shop inside your Best Buy store they will update your device for free. It took them forever to find out where they had the images stored corporately but after several phone calls the proceeded to d/l & update my tablet. Took several hours but they did do it.
If I had seen your posts, I woud have done it myself. Much more fun to do!! Thanks again!

Many thanks. It's highly appreciated. Merry Xmas!
Excuse me for my ignorance but would this work with the SM-T800? And would I need to wipe everything? I would like to return to everything stock as if it were factory from an old version of IronRom I installed a while back.
Will I keep root?
If I flash this will I still be rooted? Thanks for this info. I was beginning to think I was stuck on kitkat forever.
P.S. I have no problem buying a few beers (or shots, hey its cold out man gotta warm up) for anyone helping me get an update on my device so that i can keep root.

Please Help!!! Trying to Flash T-Mobile Stock Firmware to My Verizon Note 8.

Hey Guys, I just recently upgraded my phone to the new Note 10+ coming from the Note 8. I still have my Note 8 and I'm trying to give it to my stepdad for Christmas. He is on T-Mobile and My phone is from Verizon. So I've been trying to Flash T-Mobile Stock Firmware to the phone so the phone has everything he needs to use it on the T-Mobile network, but I keep getting errors. I downloaded Odin 3.13.1, Downloaded the Samsung Drivers, and downloaded the latest T-Mobile Stock Firmware. I put my phone in download mode, Open Odin in Admin Mode, Plug my phone in, Odin says "Added" and the Device box turns Blue. I Add the BL File to the BL, AP to the AP, and the CP to the CP Line, Click Start, and every time it gets stuck on Initialzation.. for a bit, then gives me FAIL! (DeviceInfo). Tried like 5 different firmwares, they are all doing the same thing. Below I will post the Log from Odin and I will attach pictures of helpful information. My Note 8 is on the Most Current Verizon Firmware. Android 9.0 Pie. One of the Firmware Downloads I've Tried, is N950USQS6DSI3_N950UOYN6DSI3_TMB. Another is N950USQU7DSK3_CL17146873_QB27126819 Not sure if that's the right number set to post, because Frija named the folder something other than the Firmware number. I'm willing to donate $20 on Paypal to anyone that is able to help me successfully get the firmware flashed. Thanks for taking the time to help. I do have USB Debugging On and Uninstalled Smart Switch.

Weird.. The version 7 bootloader should have flashed. Are you sure you're not trying to flash the wrong firmware? Actually in all reality you don't need to flash anything just make sure your Google account is removed from the phone and then do a factory reset and when you add the t-mobile sim card it will automatically change everything including the boot up screen from Verizon to t-mobile. But if you want to try this one..

Also download Odin v3.13.3 not 3.13.1 it's on the same page as firmware in that link

Will that method give him the T-Mobile apps though? I'd like it to be a stock experience for him.

I'm not sure about that question as I've never done that before I just know it switches everything with the sim card but in any case try flashing the firmware you have downloaded using Odin version 3.13.3 instead of Odin 3.13.1.

I downloaded Odin 3.13.3 and retried all the firmware I have downloaded and still getting the same message. I am currently downloading the Firmware you linked above, but I'm a basic user on SamMobile so my Download speed is capped at 15 kbps. So it'll take like up to 5 hours. I will definitely let you know how it goes, Thanks for the help.

Try doing this.. Edit the “UMS/PATCH” of the config file in the Odin folder and edit from 0 to 1 and save it and then add the extracted firmware files for t-mobile in the Odin sections appropriately: BL for BL AP for AP CP for CP CSC for CSC (not HOME_CSC)UMS for USERDATA. Now tap start.

Also, if the last post doesn't help you then do this.
1 - Go into Download mode with the Power+Bixby+VDown
2 - Selected BL+AP+CP+CSC (pretty much replace all) in Odin
3 - hit start, press the Power+Bixby+VDown and continue to hold.
4 - phone might reboot then
5 - Comes back up in Download mode, let go and select download mode again.
6 - once in download, press down and hold the Power+Bixby+VDown and hit start on Odin again (yes ,same as above).
7 - it should start loading the image. Once it starts, let go of the buttons or the phone will reboot again and kill it.
Basically, it fails once then imaged on the second time it goes through. If you let it get to the samsung screen between download screens, you just have to start over.
You should start holding the buttons just right after you press START in Odin(you should be already in download mode of course), really you should start holding those buttons right in the next moment after you click START in Odin, so you must do it really fast. It should avoid that FAIL issue in Odin and proceed to further installation of the firmware. As soon as it finishes flashing BOOT, release those buttons(as I said BOOT is one of the first stages so you will have to release the buttons after a second or two), if you keep holding them it will fail again and it will also fail if you start holding them before you press START or if you start holding them too late. Yes, we are using this combination to go to the download mode but in this case it won't do that, it should allow you to avoid that FAIL at the start of flashing process.
If you can't get this to work then simply just flash ONLY the CSC and USERDATA files from the t-mobile folder and make sure you flash the SAME firmware version! By that I mean only from this version N950USQS6DSI3_N950UOYN6DSI3_TM do not flash the files from the newer versions against the older versions! If this works in Odin then do a factory reset in recovery after the Odin flash and see if you have t-mobile apps.
I got a sprint phone from my brother and I just put t-mobile sim in the phone and it flashed itself to tmobile rom. Now it is a tmobile branded phone. I was shocked when it rebooted. It took a while when the phone restarted though. Everything happened automatically, I didn't have to do anything. It was Sim unlocked though.

See what @SKORPiO1975 just said? I'm pretty sure if you just put the sim card from t-mobile in the phone it'll just change everything.

Did it install the T-Mobile apps though? My phone is also unlocked. I tested the phone with a T-Mobile sim card from my Mom's phone just to see if it got 4gLTE and it did, but I didn't let it restart because I was still using it at the time while I was waiting for my Note 10+ order to be ready.
