Hello guys.. I have a big problem here.. I fell my C6903 last Saturday from 3 feet! D'oh! But surprisingly it survived! It's even not powered off when dropped! No dead pixel, camera is OK, everything is fine. But my ASF is totally broken. It's only cracks along screen, after I pull it out, here it is.

Today, I wonder if my phone still survive underwater test, so I test it. It's just 5 minutes. Everything is fine. Untill...
1. First 5 minutes -> Something wrong with my light sensor, screen is dimming and brightening randomly. D'oh! :silly:
2. 2 minutes after first 5 minutes -> Volume up and down randomly. D'ooh!!!
3. 2 minutes later -> Hard camera button going crazy!
4. 2 minutes later -> Screen totally dead! Nooo!!! :crying:
I bought this C6903 at December 2013. These are my C6903 condition
1. Under warranty
2. No ASF (no Sony logo anymore)
3. Bootloader has been unlock (Without TA Partition Backup!!!)
4. It's still alive, I can charge and my Laptop still recognize it. :highfive:
5. It's INDONESIA - JAKARTA
My question is
1. How to claim my warranty? I know about "playing fool", but can you give me suggestion to talk to them without look suspicious. I'm sucks at talking
2. How if I hardbrick my phone? So they can't trace my bootloader status.
3. If hardbricking is a solution to avoid me looking suspicious, HOW TO HARDBRICK my C6903?
Need help ASAP. I need my C6903 this weekend.
----
Update
1. Volume up is always pressed, so press and hold power button actually will hard poweroff the device
2. Since volume up is always pressed, I can only go to flash mode
3. Connecting my devices to wall charger won't make it go to normal boot (it stuck on something, IDK)
what you have in your hand, isn't the asf. It's a glass protector..
As far as im aware you have no possible claim there at all, if the bootloader was unlocked without ta backup thats you instantly screwed with warranty, if youve removed the asf also voids the warranty and last of all if theres water damage inside the phone that voids your warranty especially if its been dropped

Sucks..... -_-
I think I have to upgrade to Z2 this month -_-
I will take this to Sony Service Center, and see if I could playing foold with them and I get my warranty
You are left with very few options, none of them very appealing either.
1. Pay Sony to fix the damages, if they do then expect to pay a few hundred (£ at least)
2. Pay a third party to fix the damages and pray that they're not brainless idiots.
3. Buy a new phone, with what you've done to it, it's going to be a small miracle if it ever works as expected ever again.
4. Claim on insurance, if you haven't got any then speak to your bank and get some.
For future reference, never unlock a phones bootloader without allowing yourself a backdoor, your TA partition although in this case doesn't matter could have been your saving grace, you could have argued with Sony that you simply water tested it and the rest is history, but I highly doubt they'll entertain that notion.
If it were me i'd get what I could from a phone shop on trade in and wait for the Oneplus one to come out properly. £269 not too bad and more than likely cheaper than you'll pay to get this phone fixed.
It's been a week! Almost everything WORKS fine. Except
1. Backlight is dead, buat the screen isn't
That's all. Tomorrow I'll bring my Z1 to Service Center after I unlock my bootloader. I'll update this soon

So here's the deal, I have been having random shutoffs for a while now and they are getting worse no matter what rom I am on. I plan to return the phone for a replacement, but there are two problems. One is that the phone fell out of my hands onto concrete and made a TINY crack on the buttons part of the glass. And the other, is that I am a flashaholic and want to be able to flash it as easy as my 1007 model. So my question is, will At&t provide me with a new phone despite the crack and if they do, what are the chances I will get a 1009 (or whatever the regular odin3 cutoff is) model or higher?
Bumpety Bump T_T
Id take it to the store to ask mail it in and they see the crack and you'll get auto charged. Take a picture of the crack and upload it. Dont worry about the Odin issue there is always a way. But that power off thing is so awful I wonder what causes it and why it gets progressively worst.
Call the warranty dept adn talk to them. Flash it back to stock if they are going to take it back. Make sure your IMEI number is the same inside the phone as it is on the back. Make sure your product code is good. As far as what series you will get, who knows? My fourth phone is in the mail and I've had a 1006, 1008, and a 1007. This last one they sent me was defective. If the crack looks like a scratch, call it a scratch. Give the reason some frosting and make it sound good, but don't lie and say its not there. Be nice, tell them you know that its a known issue from ATT and Samsung and you would like to have it replaced. Took me all of 20 min on the phone. Doesn't hurt to play a little dumb too. No big words that reference to flashing or bricking. Just it keeps shutting off and I don't know why! lol Good luck!
Ill upload a picture so you guys can see. I've been a customer for like 7 years so im thinking i can maybe play my aggrivation up a little and try to get upgraded to the infuse when it comes out on the 10th

I had a 1007 and had to exchange it because the 3.5mm jack stopped working. I checked and what I found out is that, it's a total crap shoot as to what you get, you can ask for a specific build, but if they don't have it, you don't get it. I ended up with a 1008, no 3 button recovery PITA

Hey guys
Just simply sharing something very useful. I did not try this since i dont own a N4 but simply sharing this article for the love of the XDA community.
So you got a dead or worn-out Nexus 4 battery ? Replacing the defective battery is dead-simple – simply crack your phone open, pry the old battery out and pop in a fresh one. However, unless you want a broken hunk of glass, take a little time to prepare and buy some cheap tools, before getting started.
ALL CREDITS AND THANKS FOR SUCH A GREAT TUTORIAL TO www.MakeUseOf.com
I am just giving a simple overview of their article so, if you want an in-depth tutorial visit the website I mentioned above.
What You Need
T5 Torx screwdriver
#0 Philips screwdriver
Replacement battery
Pry tool or guitar pick (or thumbnail)
Anti-static gloves or wristband (optional, but recommended)
Hair dryer (optional, but highly recommended)
Anti-static pad (optional)
The total amount of this operation costs $30-40, including tools. It should take no more than an hour, if you’re super careful.

Where and What to Buy
Battery: You can find OEM Nexus 4 batteries for ~$20 USD on eBay.
Another possibility: Batteries sold on eBay could be used pulls from broken systems, so PLEASE be careful before buying.
The eBay seller listed it as brand new. Also, the date-of-manufacture showed it as a very recent build, so it might actually be an OEM component.
Does it void the warranty?
Yes. However, LG can’t tell if an N4 has been opened, unless you somehow damage it (quite easy to do). If you somehow caused physical damage while opening your N4, then you’ve voided the warranty. Please, for the love of god, take the following precautions :
Conclusion
Despite the rumors, the Nexus 4′s battery replaces easily. It simply requires a few simple tools and a little bit of computer disassembly knowledge. Even an idiot who slashes his fingers every time he opens a computer, can do it.
Anyone got a battery drained Nexus 4? You should simply return it instead of doing above stuff, if it’s under warranty. But if you’re no longer under warranty or out of the country, you may have to rely on yourself. In such an event, please exercise the greatest care, as potential for disaster abounds.

I've always wanted to replace the battery of my Nexus after 3 years of use, it looks already worned out.
Is there any recommendations for the battery itself? Which brand and model to buy as a replacement?
Thanks

I've bought one from ebay but do not remember the seller, i saw that it has the lg logo, replace ones doesn't.
Have anyone succeeded to repair the device under warranty after this operation?
Hi guys, I have sent my phone off for repair to HTC as i have had WI-FI issues basically since I bought the phone last year, the wi-fi disconnects at weaker areas, whereas the other phones i have tested work fine..I have only recently realised that thi was a manufacturing issue after reading reviews online. So I have decided to send the phone off for repair, a week later (today) I get a quotation from HTC of £187! Bear in mind I still have warranty on my phone..HTC initially did not state the reason why I have received the charge, they just claimed that the work required was caused by the damage that isn't covered by warranty. So i went onto HTC chat and spoke to someone called Wioleta, she eventually told me that I have installed "unauthorized software" on my phone. Now I PROMISE YOU guys, i have not done any tweaking on my phone for a long long time...before I did install a ROM rooted my phone etc, but i had to set everything to default settings as i have sent the phone off before because of a different issue ( coloured lines on my phone - if you guys remember), I have done the procedure correctly and HAVE NOT been charged by HTC for the repair,so it was done free...ever since the repair I have not done any modifications to my phone or downloaded any illegal software...So I would like to know why they said i have done this and is it possible that they could have done this?? I have attached a picture of what Wioleta has sent me on chat...I think there is a mistake somewhere because i am innocent...and I have already sent them a complaint about it, but I really need my phone back... please can somebody give me some advice on how to tackle these twats! Thanks for reading.

I think you are in the wrong forum, this is for HTC One not for One X.
Hi guys,
I bought my phone about 2 weeks ago. In the first week I noticed a problem in my phone; there's a missing area at the bottom of my LCD (below soft keys). The area shows some noises (something like the reflections of the pages I open with my phone, e.g. Settings menu, Walkman app, anywhere in my phone). Actually this problem is so annoying and I'm gonna send the phone back to the Sony (The phone has warranty). Here's my question; does Sony replace the phone? Or it just repairs it?!
Thanks in advance

Try one of the following:
1. Do a factory reset from the phone (Setting - Backup & reset)
2. Use the Sony flash tool and try a manual flash of your ROM
If the above does not work then you will have to take it the Service Guys. They will check the piece and then replace it if required. I had my phone replaced as I had camera issues in less than 2 weeks of my ownership post which I have not had any issues.

I tried reinstalling firmware via PC Companion and it didn't help... I was afraid flashing the phone might void the warranty... Does it?

(the area below soft keys is missing...)
A few more things to mention:
* When I take a screenshot, everything is fine and the area below the soft keys isn't missing!
* At the first days, the missing area was appeared when phone was heaten a bit... But now (for about a week) the area is permanently missing!
It's much like hardware problem, I guess.

It's look like a line of dead pixels or LCD but in this case, if that is a Hardware problem you should see in that part of the screen problems in any conditions. Can you do a test, reboot your phone and look at the bottom of the screen where the line is, do you see something wrong?
If the LCD is dead but you take a screenshot logically the line is missing because is not recognize as the LCD is the problem.
I think you should send it to repair via Warranty, just to be sure.
BTW, you can also flash a Stock FTF from different region but for your model only, to check if it a system failure, using flashtool v.0.9.16 (it will not void your warranty).
My Z1 is broken after a major fall. It is outside the accident damage protection of six months but inside overall warranty. I get to understand that I will have to pay to get it replaced. Any idea on the price that I have to pay? If it makes sense I will get it replaced or else will buy a new one considering the price drop.

My LG G Watch R is stuck in this screen. After I did a restore the other day the screen has been stuck like this. It managed to come back once for about a minute but then went right back to this screen. The watch was a gift to me at Christmas this year so I'm not sure about returning it. Anyone else have this problem and managed to fix it? Help would be very much appreciated.
I've got the same problem with you, hope someone can help me. I appricate.
If you hold the button down to reset, does it change anything?
I would occasionally see this on my phone after a bad ROM flash. Can you get to the bootloader or recovery and see the screen fine? If so, you try a factory reset from there, flash the factory images here, or install an Urbane port here.

It vibrates, powers off, then turns itself back on with the same image.

No, the screen does not work whatsoever, so I am unable to get to the bootloader.
Same issue here, then screen would only light up with pink pixels, and some black. would boot on the dock in the same way. Sent into lg, waiting on the diagnosis currently. not sure if it is fixable or what. I will update when I get some news. One thing I can say is they paid for the shipping there, so at least that was covered.

Could you possibly give me the info on how to contact LG about this same issue so I can send my G Watch R in to get diagnosed? Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.
Got my watch back, looks like the guts were replaced, my screen was scratched, it is no longer. It was repaired under warranty which I was surprised as I had no receipt anymore. My only problem is I sent it all in the original box, they only sent back the watch and band. I have been waiting over 2 weeks for them to see if they can find my charging dock and original box. I am no longer holding my breath. I bought a new dock from amazon, and if they send my original, I will just have a spare.
to send in the watch, google lg repair, then you can fill out the form to get a RMA. They even pay the shipping both ways. Takes a while, just be forewarned.

do you know how the process when when you called in to get it fixed?
Just call or fill out the form, tell them it is broken, and go from there. pretty easy process. Whatever you do, only send the watch, no box or charging base, I went through hell and 2 months to get them to send me the base they claimed they never received. I ended up buying one because I lost hope. I now have 2 charging bases, so I guess it worked out.
