how to root android 4.1.1?

Dear all,
I want to root my device galaxy note GT N7000 android 4.1.1 with GL_HYDRACORE_v7_STD.zip and odin 1.85.
i look on net, they guide me to click on PDA and select GL_HYDRACORE_v7_STD.zip file. but it has no available .zip file.
help me, HOW can i add?

AFAIK..Hydracore will not work with leaked TW 4.1.1 or 4.1.2..instead flash Philz kernel from here..

4.1.1 XXLS2 can only be rooted using Philz XXLS2 zip kernel.. download and store the kernel on ext SD and flash from stock recovery.
Hydracore or any other kernel will not work with TW JB

Seems you are on the leak Samsung jb with philz kernel. You can flash cm10 kernel or hydracore and then select boot into recovery and then flash the ROM. Boot into recovery will be under "advanced"

you can use any. and as you are on TW JB phone wont boot on either. so preload all the required files before flashing the kernel just to be on the safe side

Flash cm10.1 from ultimate rom

Hi all, I need help to flash cm 10.1 nightly or paranoid android from ultimate rom.
I've just flashed this:

But I've not understood why I need it.
However, when I try to flash a cm 10.1 I have installation aborted status 7.

You should go here and flash philz kernel v3.99... Now you a ready to go.

you donot need to flash that.. all you need to make sure is you are on Philz 3.99 version of the XXLSC kernel. boot into recovery and check the about in Philz settings. if its not 3.99 then upgrade it by installing the latest..

Yes I was on XXLSC version of the kernel.
Now i finally flashed paranoidandroid but i have 2 problem.
Don't work central key and aosp keybord crash!

Is it just me seeing this thread double times?

Samsung I9000 New rom?

Hello guys! So i have got a problem, i want flash a new firmware but the user that had this phone before has allready flashed a new firmware...
It is an old 2.2 FW but i want a 4.3 FW. However what should i do now? Its rooted allready, and there is a old recovery installed(no option to flash roms)

At first you have to flash a Custom Recovery Mode. For example CWM or TWRP.
Then you can flash your Custom Rom.
Just use Google an you will find an instructions.

For the best experience you can flash it to the latest stock ROM via ODIN, install CF-Root (contains CWM too) and then upgrade to CM 10.2 with fullwipe

Just go to the forum and search cyanogenmod 10.2 from ADC team then they will provide the link to install the CWM. You can install CWM through odin (makesure u got the right odin). Follow strictly the instruction that is provided by the forum

I think there are only Roms by the ADC-Team for the I9001 and not the I9000.

Galaxy S plus i9001-Ican't flash any custom Rom from stock Rom

I'm on stock Rom GB 2.3.6 on my Samsung s plus and I tried to flash any Cyanogen Custom Rom in CWM ( Ics and Jb) and Always i get the same answer . O f course I rooted My phone ,Installed CWM and did all the wipes .Always the same answer no matter what version of Custom rom I tried to flash.What can I do?

Makesure you have to use correct version of cwm to install the cm. I recommend try cyanogenmod 10.1 JB 4.2.x . GO to the cyanogen official rom post (under ADC team).
FOllow all the instruction that stated inside the topic.
Any mismatch of the version of installation can fail to install rom.

Exactly.
Looks like your installation is failing because the file is for an I9000B. If you want to use CM10.1 on an I9001, you'll need to go here.
