(TL) Rooted, Can't get CWM installed - Sony Xperia T, TL, TX, V

Hey guys, I've rooted my Sony Xperia TL (geohot's root. SuperSU installed+working) running the latest official update (JellyBean). I can't seem to get CMW Installed. I've run the script for CWM v9i JB on both windows and Mac OS X. I've gotten them to run successfully a few times. When I try to boot into CWM, it just boots the stock ATT Jellybean. I've tried repeatedly pressing the up/down volume keys on boot. I've tried holding them. It's just not booting for me. The bootloader is locked and is not unlockable(I think).
Any suggestions? Am I using an outdated version of CWM?
I just bought this phone second hand. Used to have an HTC one X+. I am really looking forward to Cyanogen mod and custom kernels.
Thanks guys!

[Q] N1 won't boot into recovery

I installed CM6 stable on my N1 after performing a nand backup. I restored to the original rom today to check something out. Now I can't boot into recovery. I get the exclamation android Guy. I used amonRA. Any suggestions?
i've got the same error and i tried with awrecovery.img instead of recovery-RA-nexus-v1.7.0.img and its working
forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=636795
I think the stock ROM flashes stock recovery when you reboot. You are actually in stock recovery when you see that screen. Try hitting the volume down and power buttons at the same time. Same exact thing happened to me.
I just decided to skip the stock ROM for that reason.
I bet there is a workaround for it though.
One work around would be to flash recovery using rom manager.
pwig is right, you replaced your recovery with the stock one.
You need to re-root (if the stock isn't rooted - which I believe it isn't, since the only builds that include recovery are completely stock), and after rooting re-flash the recovery with Amon_RA's recovery.

Entering recovery phones stuck HTC Logo

Whenever I try to enter recovery on my HTC vivid all I get is the HTC Logo. I can press buttons, they vibrate, but nothing changes.
I've rooted and unlocked the bootloader. Everything else on the phone seems fine and works properly.
I was reading somewhere it might be due to having version 5 of clockwork. It wasn't the same phone though. Is anyone else running into this issue with the HTC Vivid At&t?
I had this happen once , and it seems like relocking the bootloader and running the stock ruu file is almost a fix for every thing I've ran into .
So that's what I would try .
I've used ClockWorkMod v5.5.0.4 (it's non-touch) since I got my phone (about 2 months now?) and I have flashed a few roms (and backup/restored many times) without any issues. Is that the version you are using? (Or is yours the newer touch-style one?).
If you want to try manually flashing 5.5.0.4 via fastboot....
Filename: CWM-beta2.img (inside the below zip)
http://www.4shared.com/zip/tAZgjz25/CWM-beta2.html
I have the phone that's completely touch. I'm using version 5.0.2.7 of ClockworkMod. I'll try using the version you posted and if that doesn't help I'll re-lock the bootloader and run the stock ruu file.
For some reason when I installed the Rom Manager it chose to install that other version of Clockwork Mod which was giving me issues I assume. I reflashed Clockwork Mod recovery with the version you mentioned 5.5.0.4, and I'm able to boot into recovery now :] Thank you both for helping.

Stuck on Boot Screen (HTC Quietly Brilliant)

Hi,
I got my brother's old HTC One M7 and tried to flash the ROM.
I have experience with Samsung Devices so I figured it worked the same way.
I install cyanogenmod using their installer. It worked, but dreadfully slow (slower than the stock rom).
So I downloaded Android Revolution 53.0, put in the /Downloads folder and went into recover and tried to install from zip.
It appeared as if the installation went through, and now the phone is stuck on the HTC quietly brilliant screen.
I can go into HBOOT, FASTBOOT, RECOVERY.. But I can't seem to get past it.
Just went into recovery and see "No OS installed! Are you sure you wish to reboot?"
Please help!
Thanks.
First question....what version recovery are you using
Sent from my HTC One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
To revive this thread.
So, I was able to figure out the original problem or at least get around it.
For whatever reason Android Revolution HD wouldn't install despite trying to flash the ROM using TWRP or CWM recovery.
I was able to get CyanogenMod and LiquidSmooth to work without issues.
I later used a Nandroid backup of a Bell Mobility (CID BM____001) and return it to "stock" JB.
I'm trying to get KIT KAT on it, I get the OTA update notification, but after it initiates the installation, device reboots into my custom recovery.
So, I tried to flash the stock BM recovery, and BM Stock KitKat install starts, but then I get a teal and pink screen back to back and get stuck on the HTC / Beats screen.
Any help is appreciated.
OK, your first problem sounds like you didnt flash the Boot.img first through fastboot, before trying to install the ARHD Rom, extract it from the zip file you downloaded and flash it through fastboot, then flash the rom, I believe Sense Roms (ARHD) will not work on non sense rom boots like CyanogenMod.
Post 3 problem is you need to install the stock recovery first.
Thanks for the quick response.
I've gotten further than where I was about an hour ago.
I realized when I flashed the stock recovery for BM_001, it was an older version (mismatched my ROM).
I flashed the the stock recovery version of my stock ROM, and I was able to get KIT KAT.
Now, it's doing a 2nd OTA update to get SENSE 6.
Will post update as soon as it's done. Hopefully it's successful.

[SOLVED] [Q] Z1 custom ROM

Hi there,
I've got a problem with my Z1. I am with 14.4.0.157 stock ROM, and locked BL.
I rooted it (working), then added Dual Recovery (working).
Then I tried to install DStriker ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z1/development/rom-dstrikerz1-kai-rom-1-0-t2928666).
With TWRP, at the end of Aroma installer, I unticked 'reboot now' then bim, black screen, nothing possible to do, nothing worked : stucked at black screen. I pushed hard power off button, then at reboot : stuck at Sony logo.
I searched this forum and found how to make it back : I went to flashtool then reflashed stock, all was working again.
I made all the root and recovery operations. All was working. Then I tried with CWM Recovery. After install/reboot (as asked in the installation instructions) : stuck at Sony logo.
So I made (once again) all modifications to flash stock/root/recovery. So I tried another custom ROM : iHAckers one (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2716182). Aroma working well, install OK then reboot : STUCK again at Sony Logo !
In conclusion : only stock ROMs seem to work on my phone (or the ones flashed with Flashtool), I can root and install Recovery, install ROMs from recovery too, but impossible to boot on these new ROMs.
Searching for a solution to install a new custom ROM.
Any help ?
I guess I found something :
- I changed the Dual recoveyr script with the last one (I thought I already had) : I used the last one from http://nut.xperia-files.com/
- I loaded and rooted before with 14.4.A.0.108 stock version.
I don't know which one solved the problem. I guess it is the recovery script, but I will do more tests, I believe it can help someone...
I will keep you up-to-date.
i've had the same problem. The solution i found is that i should start the operation from stock 14.1.G.1.534. whenever i used another stock version, phone got stuck at sony logo.

I think Xperia Z1 is against newer stock firmwares when we want to update.
So till I installed iHackers with the method I explained above (other stock firmware), I've never met the problem again.
I then flashed to Dstriker and no problem. I think there was something wrong when coming from stock/rooted/dual recovery/locked BL 14.4.A.0.157...
Best regards and happy new year all.

[Q] Won't boot into CWM

Hello everyone,
I'd appreciate some help here.
I've been using my xperia tx on 4.3 JB for quite a while now but it consumed my battery like hell. So I flashed it back to 4.1.2 JB stock fw.
Now here's the problem, as i'd like to flash to carbon rom and to do so I need to boot into cwm recovery. I've downloaded CWM 9i_JB by davidmarco or something like that and it installed successfully. My phone is rooted and it has unlocked bootloader. I tried several times to boot into cwm with restarting my phone then when Sony logo appears I was consistently pressing volume down button and nothing happened, my phone booted normally. I've also downloaded Rom Manager to try and boot into cwm but that didn't work also. I don't really know where the problem is and i'd appreciate some help.
Thanks in advance,
Sandi
edit:
I've flashed another kernel with cwm integrated in it so everything works fine now.
